To start off my phone is completely stock and i was on 2.3.4 before the update. Once i updated over the air, it completed and all seemed fine.
Once restarted, i tried to open my camera or camcorder and it said "Unable to initialize camera" every time i tried. So i restarted again and it worked this time.
Then sometime when using my phone, it says "Motorola Home Service....Has stopped working, must force close" then after that, my camera craps out again and the phone must be restarted.
Has anyone else had this issue? Ive always been stock, never unlocked or loaded any other firmware other than OTA updates.
PS. im on ATT
The only issue I'm having from stock 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 is Root access both Unlockroot and PetesMoto 1 clicks are failing to root

Glad I decided to post something as after searching finally found it. Had to break out the keyboard and start typing (ewwww) but success ..
atrixforums.com/forum/motorola-atrix-hacks/4414-how-root-motorola-atrix-all-versions-including-stock-locked-2-3-4-2-3-6-a.html
Also just found out that if you click on the home button that takes you to the " menu" or "apps" screen, then click the search button, it will freeze the "moto home service" and must do a force close. Happens every time.

Hello guys.I am writing here cause i am in need of help.
I got a Lg g2 from a guy that seems tried to root the phone but didnt finish rooting. The problem for me is that i cant assign any google account to my phone.I tried new accounts, existing, tutorials about hosts files editing with root explorer and so on.Root explorer gets stucked when i try to open hosts file in text editor so i cant do this.I tried flashing new rom but when i enter download mode it automatically turns on some update which : says "Firmware update" and the percentage doesnt move at all for hours.I have installed superuser installer app which i cant remove from the phone and i think that has something to do with my problems(not sure tho).It cant get the rooting finished through twrp cause it says that files are missing and obviously i cant use the google play option cause i cant assign any account in my phone.I tried factory reset several times and it didnt work. Also tried to delete superuser installer with root explorer but it got stucked again and closed.
Please help me fix my phone!
Regards
Try TOTing back to stock and starting all over again.

after rooting and install xposed everything going fine.. instaled any apps or games.. removing bloatware.. then i power off device at night and when i power on.. it cant install anything on playstore.. (error code: -505) and cant install any downloaded apps or games from web or sd card..
any solution for this?
I'm thinking that while you were debloating your S7e, you may have deleted an app necessary for the system installer.
In the past I had an LG G4, and when I debloated it, I deleted a system app, this ended in bootloop after a system reboot.
My best advice, reinstall the latest firmware via odin and this should do the trick.
I had the exact same problem.i was starting to think it xposed wanam installer 86.1 but not 100 shure

I have phone: Nubia Z17 Mini S
Model: NX589J
Android: 7.1.1.
Official chinese rom: Build number: NX589J_CNCommon_V212 (this is the latest version). Downloaded from here: http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/49
I did the following (see detailed discription below) but when i open the google playstore icon on the phone it displays Checking info message for few seconds and then it crashes/shut itself off... Or it just won't open! Even after rebooting several times.
This is what i did, someone please tell me what i did wrong, how to fix this issue, did i do the steps wrong or in wrong order?:
Steps i took-->
1. updating the rom/firmware to latest version.
2. install twrp recovery on phone.
3. root (by selecting root option in twrp recovery on phone)
4. reboot.
5. turning phone off, then on with power and volume button to be back in twrp recovery.
6. selecting install, to install gapps zip file (downloaded from open gaps site)
7. after instalation wiping dalvik/cache and then reboot.

dear sveetautumn. Tell me, please, did you manage to solve the problem with Google services or not? I have the same problem and flight mode does not help. It is impossible to give all permissions for Google applications, since the list of permissions is empty and written "does not require special permissions"

This is the exact same behaviour I have on my z17 mini S too. Tried all sorts and can't find a way to apply permissions to it. Even 3rd party permission apps...
In the end, we found the solution to run Google services for Nubia Z17 miniS nx589j
In the end, we found the solution to run Google services for Nubia Z17 miniS nx589j
Nubia Z17 miniS, nx589j, ui5 v2.16 official CN
After installing TWRP and root and SuperSu nx589j, open the phone, go to this page and download this open gapps: Open GApps
1.1.2.apk
Once you have installed this gapps, open the installed program, accept all grant in SuperSu, and soften the steps in it, as you find the phone settings, and let it download that gapps yourself. It has about 750mb.
After finishing the download, click on the installation, and the phone automatically enters the TWRP and installs the GAPPS.
After it is finished installing in TWRP, the phone opens itself.
Once opened, rejoin the TWRP and click WIPE cache and dalvik.
That's it, I spent a week to find the solution.
If it is ok and it works, please leave here a comment.
I'm sorry for my english.
thanks demyco79, followed your steps and have finally GAPPs running on my Z17 mini s. Downloads from playstore sometimes hang, and some apps don't seem to authenticate well with google account

Works for me too. Version V2_16. But what have you done about battery consumption? It drains too fast.

To me it works well. if you're having trouble, put your phone in airplane mode for a few seconds, then you get back to normal.

Open the application Neosafe / Power / Power saving mode, and choose Lower-power mode. After activating the Lower-power mode, the battery icon changes from white to yellow. Everything works well and the battery keeps you well.
Hey!

I got stuck at unlocking the bootloader. :/
After the "fastboot oem unlock" command I get a "waiting for device" message without any response.
Used this tutorial here: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/unlock-bootloader-via-fastboot-android/
Just realized, that Windows recognizes the phone as mobile device NX589J.
But as soon as I go into fastboot the yellow sign flashes up in the device manager as "Android device".
I installed the drivers with the ADB installation, but that doesn't seem to be the issue.
Are there specific drivers for the NX589J somewhere?
Decided to reinstall youtube vanced, but now whenever I go to sign in I just get stuck on this page until it times out.
Newest versions of everything, and also tried several older ytv and microG versions (that have worked on my device before) but the issue is not solved. Obviously rebooted several times and all that. Enabled all stock apps. Haven't tried factory reset.
Never had any problems signing in before. Been trying for weeks.
Anyone else had this issue? Was it overcome?
Thank you!
Yes and it's very easily overcome !! You must have set chrome canary/beta/dev as webview like i did and disabled Google chrome ?
1 reenable Google chrome
2. Set it as web view in developer options
3. Get the latest version of YouTube vanced & micro g if you haven't got them installed (not required but might aswell )
4. Sign in
---------- Post added at 04:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:52 PM ----------
Ps After you've signed in you can redisable chrome and change the webview to canary/beta/dev again
