Installed i9500 ROM instead of i9505 ROM

I was trying to install the GoldenEye Rom 12 for the S4 i9505. I don't know how, but I accidentally installed the Rom for the S4 i9500. Now I'm unable to make/receive calls and Wifi is disabled.. It occasionally lags on almost every app. When I'm making calls, I'm able to dial the number. As soon as I hit the call button, my phone screen turns black and the notification bar starts flickering. As for receiving calls, I'm unable to pick up calls as the screen doesn't even appear. I tried restoring from a nandroid backup, flashing a stock rom/recovery and it doesn't solve the problem. Any ideas how do I solve it?

Is your phone definitely GT-I9505?
Which operator/telco are you using, in which country?
That happened to me when they first upgraded to the new bootloader. My guess is you're still on the older non-KNOXy one?

It's weird that your phone's not bricked. I would make sure that you're actually using a i9505 then download a rom for that device and flash it.

Hello, I have problem.
Iam using noobdev 4.4. CM11 nightly on my i9505 without problem, but suddenly, maybe after last nightly update phone app stop work.
I can go to internet, receive messages, but when i want to call someone the screen goes black and doesn't answer and the menu bar "flash" I have to wait during 20-30 seconds before to return on my home screen. When I receive a call, after answering it, screen goes black too. I cant hear the person on the other side, and they cant hear me.
I tried everything, flashing many other modems/radios, roms, restoring backups, flashing another recovery, flashing official firmware and it still dont work.
Help me please:crying:

I recently rooted my sgs4 gt-i9505 to the goolge edition using a YoTube tutorial on how to do so. Everything worked fine at the start but when I tried to install the PAC man rom, it jus stayed in the loading screen.
I restarted and tried rebooting but to no avail. I went back into the recovery mode and wiped the phone (divlac, cashes and system) then I reinstalled the google rom to find my wifi was not working. I tried the same process again, wipe- reinstall. Now I can't receive calls, the wifi doesn't work, home button only works on double tap, pull down status bar works but nothing in displayed.
My question is, does anyone have any ideas on how I would return my device to normal or know a full proof recovery and rom I can use that will correct these problems.
I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

You could try to go back to stock and check if everything still works there.

Did you flash the correct modem/baseband for the ROM / your carrier? There is a thread in general for all the modems. Chances are with a KitKat ROM you need to update your modem. Read that thread and give it a go. The file is about 15mb and takes a minute to flash in Odin. Failing that go back to stock.
Nothing in status bar: that's what it looks like in stock, you can use 2 fingers for the quick settins. Installl WANAM XPOSED fromwork for more tweaks and options!!
Home button double tap: that's the way it works on the google edition, that's just it. BUT wanam xposed can change this with the Gravity Box module!! You could try the Echoe 2.2 kitkat rom it has xposed pre-installed.
Keep in mind things look blanker and less functional as you no longer have samsung touchwiz which adds a LOT of stuff to the stock experience!
One more thing: ALWAYS make a nandroid backup before flashing ANYTHING at all, you never know when you will need it. Backup the nandroid to your PC also just in case, things go missing/ get deleted! T

Unfortunately I had some issues and I don't know why. Fortunately I had philz_touch_5.18.9-i9505.tar cwm and was able to flash Omega v19 back. Everything its working fine but the dial and the sound. I don't have any sound, meaning I can't hear anything, no music no ringtones, nothing. And the second problem its the dial. So in the main screen I touch the phone widget everything its working fine but when I try to call someone my screen goes all black and starts to flicker and nothing happens, only after aprox 10 SECONDS appears the dialing screen but I cant hear the other person and neither can he. I don't know if its soft bricked or bricked but please help someone. I told you besides this two problems everything works well and even cwm and download mode. PLEASE HELP!!!

Boot into download mode and Try and flash the .Tar file via odin.

think if you flash your modem via odin , it will work fine.

Fortunately I resolved my problem. It was a bootloader problem. I tried to flash the new Omega v.22 kitkat4.4.2 but had the old bootloader. After flashing the new One the problem was resolved. Thank you for your help

half blue half black screen after flashing a rom

hi everyone.
i am having this wierd issue for a month or so, when i try to update RR rom.
after i flash the rom, i get the screen attached. screen seems for like 2 seconds, and goes this half black / half blue screen. screen is still responsive, i can receive calls and if i double tap anywhere, screen locks. there is no problem with screen on twrp or anything ( because sometimes after flashing the rom i dont get this screen, so i don't do anything else, except use it normally.) but today it happened without a reason, the phone was in my pocket when i took it out and saw the screen in this state.
i always flash by following the steps given. i know it is not hardware related. where is the problem? what do i need to do?
p.s. : when charging, blue part goes yellow.

First go to recovery and check that display problem present or not if not then flash any other custom rom or reflash rr
if you are unable to go to recovery then flash stock rom via odin it will fix every software related issue
and if flashing stock rom doesn't work then it may be hardware issue

You confirmed the model # in download mode? Tried using different version of TWRP?

still no solution. this problem is not hardware related since i can use it perfectly now. i tried to flash (via twrp) RR-N-v5.8.5 exactly as described in op. rom boots, i can see the home screen for a brief moment but screen goes immediately black and blue. i can receive calls, lock and wake screen, that's all. then i have to restore everything. i am currently on hexagon rom v2.5 and no issues but i like RR.
again, this problem is not hw related. i follow all the steps again and again checking everything..
any ideas?

make a clean install and try a different kernel than pre installed one

clean install worked for a day or so, until i turned off ambient dislpay and restart. then it went blue&black again.
i tried a few kernels, some bootloaders and modems (including nordic) but problem persists.
i will try to get a logcat :/

In case anyone has the same problem: reboot to safe mode, go to settings, flip cover and turn off S-View flip cover.
