Hello,
this question is for french and about your experience with FREE provider with our LG G2. D802
For me :
I come from an HK model, flashed many times with EU stock and customs roms...
When I was with B&You I never had problems H,H+ and 4G everywhere and every time (with some roms I had to activate 4G trough the hidden menu, but it wasn't a problem).
Now since 3 monthes, I'm under FREE and I have...
Bad signal, loosing signal, only 1 time 4G/lte (during 2min) with a battery drain (cause it's looking for the signal)
I tried many roms, but can't find a good one that give me a good reception with FREE.
If someone has fin the right combo ROM / FREE could you tell me wich ROM do you use ?
Thanks
For the moment I use
Pardus HD RoMâ„¢ Sensation Black v3.1
Kernel : Dorimanx 6.9
baseband : M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190084

Hi. I have an HTC hero from Telus. I was extremely happy with my phone's operation until I upgraded it to 2.1. This is the Telus upgrade and I have not rooted my phone (yet).
Ever since then:
* have been dropping calls
* have been losing antenna
* not able to make a call: I would have to try 2 or sometime even 3 times to be able to dial a number
* some of my text messages are not received by the recipients
I have done a hard reset after I upgraded my phone, but it did not help. I only have a total of 5 or 6 apps installed. After the hard reset, I waited before installing the apps. Even without any of the apps installed, I was still dropping calls.
My guess is that there is an issue with the baseband version that came with the new (2.1) install. Here is what I have right now:
baseband: 63.18.55.06SU_6.35.17.03
Kernel: 2.6.29-7527f009
build#: 3.36.661.1 CL199109
SW#: 3.36.661.1
Any ideas on what I can do to make things as stable as they were on 1.5? I'm guessing I will have to root my phone and install a different version on it, considering HTC or Telus won't be fixing this issue any time soon.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to make the PHONE functionality most stable? (I use my phone as a phone first and then other things). Which baseband version and which SW version? I don't have a preference between 1.5, 2.1, or 2.2 as long as it's stable.
Thanks for your help.
Update your radio pal. Start with the newest, if it is not perfect, try the next one along. Google "villain rom GSM hero radio" for the links. Use btdag's noob guide in the dev section for a quality tutorial on flashing roms and radios.
Pretty sure the OP already has the latest and greatest radio. This radio gets the best signal strength for me with slightly more battery drain than before.
OP, where in the country do you reside?
Since I've been using 2.2 ROMs for the last few months, I suggest trying these for stability:
*AOSP ROMs*
Elelinux-6.2.0-RC0-Hero (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906552)
Floyo 1.2.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784689)
An online buddy of mine (who has thoroughly tested all the ROMs) says Cronos 2.1 is a good one:
*Sense ROMs*
Cronos 2.1.4.1 Sense Eclair (http://www.cronosproject.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=279)
Cronos 2.1.4.2 Light Eclair(http://www.cronosproject.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=397)
Thanks. I will pick one of the ones you suggested and root my phone this weekend. I'll report back if the problem doesn't go away.
Had the same problem as you, the solution i found is to use "WCDMA only" and not "GSM / WCDMA auto " in network mode. Works great since.
I am on Telus with their 2.1
I was already on WCDMA preferred. Changing it to WCDMA only didn't make a difference.
I rooted last night and tried the Elelinux-6.2.0-RC0-Hero first. But really missed the feel of sense. Cronos site was down last night, so I went with Tegro-2.3 for now. I haven't upgraded the radio from the base recovery image yet. I'll wait and see how things work. Now that I am setup for rooting, I will change until I find a build that is fully operational and has no lag.
Thanks everyone.
I use HTC Hero Cronos Ginger 1.0.1 now, it's like having a new phone, everything is perfect and very very really very fast.
excuse me may I ask you that what radio room is?
is it included in our ROM ( such as elelinux , cyanogen v.v.....) or it must be install in another way?
I am a big fan of AOSP roms and CyanogenMod in particular, I bought my G2 D802 only after the CM was released for it
Unfortunately for me I received one ****ty problem with CM (or any AOSP Rom) - A phone call is interrupted while I'm moving (usually about 3 minutes after I started to move). I think it happens exactly when phone switching from one base station to another, because it tend to happen in particular places
I tried to install different AOSP roms (any version of CM, Vanir, etc.), different radios from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426 , nothing helped
Has anyone faced a similar problem? or have any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any help!
P.S.: any rom on the basis of stock lg d802 is works fine (e.g. CleanROM XE)
Hi,
any Idea where to find AOSP/CM ROM for Xiaomi Note 4G dualSIM (aka GUCCI)? Many ROMs here are specifically saying they are for singleSIM (aka DIOR). And others dont specify at all. I tried asking in a few threads (in about three) and Im still awaiting response, but I still want to ask here .
Any ideas, please? I would like larger phone, larger battery and dualsim but I dislike MIUI ... Thanks for any response!
PS: I found this AOSP ROM which I would like to use but first I need to know if it is for dualSIM or not:

http://redminotezone.blogspot.cz/20...sp-mooke-kitkat-444-for-redmi-note-LTE4G.html
i need to for this rom. thx
Search for gucci
Hi,
i thing its not for this device. You need to search for (phone code name) gucci, not dior! I am looking for this right now. There is cwm, but in Chinese. I found englisth cwm, but i need to test it. CM12 rom is here from this forum.
The mobile data on that CM12 rom doesn't work.
I only have one SIM but I tested on both slots and was not able to get data to work at all.
The only CM rom that I have had any mileage with is the CM11 rom by Ghostly Doctor
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636001100
There's a bit of crapware in the rom but you can open the zip and delete the apk's before flashing.
The only other issue that I have encountered after ~2 weeks of use is that the mobile data periodically disconnects and reconnects, this would normally be a deal breaker but I just cannot hack imitation iOS on the official roms to go back.
Hi folks,
I updated 2 DAYS ago my LG G2 (netherlands provider). to Lolipop 5.02?
The normal stock rom.
But i have alot of problems after installing Xposed (huge performance problems) normally in Quadrant i have a 23000+ score and right now i only see 9000 a 12000 score. Also alot of errors with different apps crashing.
My Question is:
Is there a STABLE rom with options like Xposed (like the Back, menu, Home buttons resize options) etc.
I really hate the big buttons.
So is there a Rom with cool options that also run verry neat on the LG G2?
I also like to have the Knock code. but maybe this is a option that i can flash after?
Thx ,
Tim
