Does anyone else get blank screens when loading up Chrome and navigating to a page? It'll do this fairly regularly throughout the day whether I load a bookmark or type something in the address bar or whatever.
I have to close the tab and start up a new one before it starts working again. And then after an hour or maybe less, it'll happen again. Over and over.

I have been getting extreme lag from Chrome on our phones lately. Wonder why.

I get it too. It loads and then stops with the blue bar at about 75%. If you hit the stop loading button at this point the page will appear. Hopefully will be fixed soon..

It happens with both the stock browser and Dolphin. Maybe I'm not using it correctly, but everytime I long press the home button to bring up the active apps and select the browser, I'm expecting to see the last page/position I was on. Well, the annoying thing is that both browsers go back one page. how do I stop this? Not sure if it happens all the time.
I think this is an Android bug. It happens frequently if you launch a webpage from another program (like the News Widget) and then long press to go back to the browser.
Try going to home and launching the browser via home screen icon or all programs icon.
Hey. That works! Thanks. I knew that it didn't happen all the time. Couldn't figure it out tho. LoL. Thanks for the quick reply! I'm gonna have to reset my habit now.
I'm having an odd problem with Chrome in this phone that I didn't with the One X. After a page has completely loaded if I rotate the screen, almost half the screen is black before it renders it. If going to upright, the bottom half is black and if going to sideways the right side is black. Doesn't happen with the stock browser.

just released a new version today. did you try it?
Yep, still doing it.
This is one of the reasons I've been looking forward to getting this phone, so I can use Chrome and sync with my PC. Anybody else having this problem?
No issues here
Maybe a similar problem here... when i rotate my screen, it scrolls to a totally different part of the web page. I have to go hunting to find out where i was on the page after rotation.

What do you want to sync with Chrome? The stock browser asks you to sign in to Google then gets all your history and bookmarks from Chrome already.

I can't be the only one with this problem.
The past few days, when switching between Talk and Chrome, and sometimes in Settings also, the app i've just gone into will get stuck for a little longer than it should.
Talk, for example, when i first switch over to it, the whole talk window will just be empty/blank, with the text box all the way at the bottom. When i try to select the text box so i can start typing, it'll take up to 20-30 seconds to pull the (stock) keyboard up, and then it will FINALLY show the chat that i already had going.
Chrome, OTOH, has just been slowing way down, compared to the first ~week or so. Blank screens, non-responsive address bar, "App not responding/force close prompts"...
Mine is still all stock, don't think i have any jacked-up apps or settings on it, so i'm not sure why the past few days it has been so crappy.
anything?
no issues with chrome, but gtalk has been generally unresponsive for me the last few days
How do you rearrange the bookmarks in your favorites by dragging? I see that you can hit that little icon on the bottom middle of the page when viewing your favorites and arrange the icons alphabetically, by time viewed, etc., but I used to be able to rearrange them any way I wanted by dragging and dropping. Did that go away with the latest update?

I emailed Boat support the same question and no answer yet. But I found it on my own.
Go to the Home page that shows the speed dial bookmarks and long press on the very first icon (it didn't happen when I just long pressed on the page itself), and a Manage scareen appears. Click Manage and then you can drag things around.
My bigger problem with Boat, however, is that it uploaded automatically to a new version and now it CRASHES within a minute no matter which web site I am on.
I Uninstalled and reinstalled Boat but within a few minutes, the crashing reoccurred.
In face all of my browsers, except Chrome, seem to be crashing now.
I may have to do a Factory Reset but it's a hassle to reload all my bookmarks again.

That moves the speed dial icons around but I am talking about the bookmarks. That doesn't seem to work for the bookmarks.
Bummer about the crashes. Boat works OK for me except the loss of ability to move my bookmarks around.
Anyone know whats wrong when chrome almost always opens new page as blank, it starts to load, then it just show blank page?
If you click on screen the page is in background and if you click in right place it opens links etc.
Only way to display page correctly is to press home button and open chrome again, then page shows up correctly.
Really annoying bug and happens many times a day! (tried both, normal and beta chrome)
[EDIT] this bug is not rom/phone related, my wifes nexus 5 with different rom has this too...

Yeah, same thing happening here. Also you can swipe left/right on the address bar, to change tab, and go back to "blank" one, now it will show correctly.
This start happening i think before 2 updates.
Though I haven't found anything about that bug. I tried cleaning both, data and cache, with no help.
Been getting it a lot lately, not sure if it was a chrome update or the fact I've been dirty flashing custom roms lately.
I was so mad with this bug, that i tried clean flash, and first page i tried to open was empty... :|
Fun fact, happens alot on the desktop version, atleast for me but I think it has to do with flash.
It's down to chrome itself, not the rom.
If I remember correctly, I had it even while using 4.4.2, now I'm on 4.4.3
As I mentioned, bug was here from last 2 or 3 chrome update.
Also, I don't have this problem in chrome on my pc.
