Internet got blocked? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I'm on T-Mobile and ever since yesterday I have been unable to connect to LTE/4G/Edge.
The icon keeps appearing and dissapearing constantly, and it's not my area because I am now in the university and still doesn't catch mobile internet. All other people I know have internet in their phones too.
I don't know if this is a hardware issue (but possibly not because I removed the sim and used in another phone), or if T-Mobile just blocked my data.
I have the unlimited LTE plan
Here is a video of the issue:

returning to home network after a roam - error

We have six WM6 devices here at work on T-Mobile. This summer there was a flood in town and one of the towers was damaged and "repair". However, since then all T-Mobile phones in our area have roamed MUCH more than before. While this isn't a problem for phone calls (although voicemail messages are delayed as are SMS), we are now seeing a problem with WM devices. We've had T-Mobile engineers down they have worked with the local roaming partners but the problem persists.
When you roam off the T-Mobile network, and then come back to EDGE, you never make the data connection. The big E shows that EDGE is available, but if you force the connection with ActiveSync or IE, you get this error:
The remote party has ended the connection.
You can resolve this by either turning off the cellular radio and turning it back on, or resetting the phone entirely.
The T-Mobile engineer told me that the problem is that they don't have any data roaming partners, however when our phones are roaming, the local GSM roaming partner, is allowing the phone to make a data connection (even though it won't pass any packets or allow traffic). Then when we come back to T-Mobile data, it hasn't released from the roaming partner.
Does that make any sense? It was better for a few weeks, then picked back up again recently. I don't think it is a phone issue, because we have Wings, Dashes, and I've used an unlocked ATT 8525, with the same results. I know that when I used the 8525 with an ATT SIM, I didn't see this issue coming off of roam.
Thanks
nobody else has seen or heard of this problem?
I have the same problem with my HTC Tornado an WM6 with original WM5 image everything is fine

CANNOT FIND SERVER in 3g

Hey,
I'm on vodafone PAYG in the UK on my Touch HD. Recently I've sometimes had trouble loading pages in opera (basically trouble with my actual internet connection) after trying for a minute or so to load, I get a CANNOT LOAD PAGE error sn am told I may have problems with my connection. Origionally I put it down to network problems, but recently I tried a soft reset after seeing this message, and loe and behold, it worked after that. Doesn't seem like network in this case.
Has anyone else had trouble like this? where their connection looks like it is on, but delivers errors?
thanks,
BANE

[Q] Problems connecting to EDGE on T-Mobile USA

I just got a T-Mobile MyTouch 4G (Which is an amazing phone btw) and I noticed it doesn't like to allow internet use over EDGE service. Unless I'm connected to the HSPDA/HSPDA+ network (which is still a bit spotty...) I can't use data. My old phone (Touch Pro 2) had this problem too, but only when tethering so it wasn't a big deal.
How can I get the phone to allow data connections over EDGE networks? Is there a workaround for this? I have searched but I haven't found any conclusive solution yet.

[Q] HTC Trophy stuck on EDGE using Simple Mobile

I recently bought a Simple Mobile sim card and had trouble from the start with no data at all and no picture messaging. However after downloading HTC's Connection Setup app I was able to send and receive picture messaging and access the EDGE network, at the time I figured that I must not be in range of 3g and that that would come later. However, my phone has been unable to connect to 3g since day one and when I pop my sim card into my old android phone it connects to 3g with no problem. What can I do to resolve this?

What Trophy are you using, Verizon's or "other" (meaning any Trophy other then Verzion's). Verizon's Trophy might not support the band that Simple Mobile's HSPA+ is running on?

[Q] Network problem with T-mobile sim card on VZW Note 2

Please help the frustrated me
I put a T-mobile sim card on my VZW Note 3 and added an APN to for the mobile network, the 4G LTE flag shows up in the status bar as expected. The only problem is: when it uses data network instead of WIFI, all non-http network connections seem to get blocked and the only thing I can do is to use the browser to surf Internet. All other apps such as WeChat, Skype don't work at all. WeChat keeps reporting "Server access failure (1, -10087)".
I suspect there's a firewall built in the T-mobile data network but couldn't find any settings about it.
Does any expert here know to solve the problem?
Thanks!

Did you ever get it to work? I'm experiencing the same issue with my note 3 from VZW.
Server Access Error (-1,10087) with WeChat \ HTC One M8 \ T-Mobile
I have been getting the same error ever since Android was updated from 4.3 to 4.4.*.
I have WeChat on a HTC One M8 on T-Mobile. Works fine on WiFi, but not on direct connect to T-Mobile's LTE network. T-Mobile doesn't have any ideas what could be causing this except to say it is either WeChat, Android, or HTC.
T-Mobile did give me a brand new HTC One M8 thinking a new phone may help, but I still run into the same issues.
I have full use of Internet, email and messaging, but WeChat will not connect via the T-Mobile network. It appears WeChat may be getting blocked by T-Mobile when accessing via the HTC One M8 as there are a few things occurring:
1. Continually receiving an error: Server Access Error (-1,10087). Only occurs when there is no WiF and trying to connect through T-Mobile’s data network.
2. Cannot request a TEXT to be sent to me under the Password Recovery feature. It says a text is being sent but none come through.
3. The same with the request a phone call Password Recover feature. It says to expect a call but none come.
4. When sending a data report, it will get to 95% uploaded and then freeze and never finishes.
Any thoughts on how to correct this?

Did you check to see if you have a proxy in your apn settings? That would cause a such a condition if you have a proxy in your tmobile apn settings.
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Same thing for me on Tmobile M8 using We Chat. If I go into the settings and turn off and on Mobile Data, it will work for a few minutes and then revert back to the server error.
I definitely believe it has to deal with something on Tmobile's network but their support doesn't have an answer. Someone please help!
finally figured it out
This has been bothering me since I flashed the viperone rom for my M8. The solution is simple, go to your APN setting edit access point, change APN protocol from IPV6 into IPV4/IPV6!
