Hello! I want to completely reset my phone and reinstall stock ROM to my phone (GT S5360), but I'm not sure about the files that I need for that (which PDA, Modem and CSC). I'm living by now in Honduras, should I use an European version? Which one?
Thank you!

Hello guys,
I made a terrible mistake and changed the software of my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 using ODIN. I installed an Arabic firmware, and my phone now doesn't support German. I thought it would support German and Arabic together.
So anyway, after I installed this firmware, the Market icon has disappeared (I tried reinstalling it manually, but the .apk file of market has the size 0 KB), and I can't do any updates using Kies. Please guide me to finding any official version of my phone's software. The software is from O2 company in Germany. Is this software available for download at your forum?
Thank you.

How about wild idea - install firmware not for asia, but europe?
Actually your wild idea is good to restore the market thingy... but isn't there a way to have an Arabic and German Swype keyboard? why do I lose Market whenever I install the Arabic pack? (it's not Asia, but specifically Arabic)
Is there a way to add Arabic support to the Europe pack?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
To get ur market back do a system reset thats what a mate had to do to get the market back why i dont know cant hurt tho
I have done the system reset and didn't work. I have done it in too many ways... but no use!

Most likely this fw is supposed to be installed in country where there is no market. Thus it doesnt contain it.
Why not install full lastest one : JPU ?
regards.
-Go Here
-Go to Firmware section
-Go to android section
-Go to i9000 section (you will have to register...)
-once you are here, take i9000AOJP4 (should be O2 Germany firmware Froyo 2.2) and the correct PIT file (803)
-use Odin to flash it (with repartition not checked)
Hi
Here you can find the o2 Firmware, if you can not download from ul.to I can upload it for you to zippyshare.
hxxp://xxx.handy-faq.de/forum/samsung_i9000_galaxy_s_forum/173447-samsung_galaxy_s_fw_i9000aojp3_froyo_2_2_o2.html
I got the same Problem, kinda, I flashed my SGS to Jim Panses Rom.
Now I want to flash it back to my o2 Firmware I saved my EFS Folder before I flashed my SGS to the Rom.
So when I flash to the o2 Firmware again is it possible to replace the EFS Folder with my original o2 EFS Folder, so that I can get my SalesCode back, for o2 the SalesCode is "VIA".
Could someone tell me, if the way of my thinking is right?

When you will flash the O2 firmware, your sales code should return to the O2 one
There should be no need to use your EFS backup (but keep it safe anyway!)
Thank you I will try that, the next Days!
Thanks 4 your reply
Thanks a lot guys

hello
I have the european rom on my i9000 and would like to change it to the stock arab rom or other non-stock rom that based on the arab rom from many reasons. When i finish to flash it, i have no market and some problems like many close forces etc, im aware that i need to make a factory reset after the flash but it still don't work.
In the past i had the arab rom but since i chanhed it to the european rom i can't go back...
what can i do to change back to the arab rom that will work ok?
Thanks
you can copy paste vending.apk file from European rom to arab rom with root explorer (rooted phone) to system/app folder
and i think jpjpg is very stable with voodoo lagfix

Hi shirhh. What I did was flashed to JPJPA first with pit and re-partition check (I got three files on JPJPA).Then on the phone dialer type *#272*your imei# and change the suitable csc (maybe can try XSG if I'm not wrong). The vending.apk is there, because you are from european rom so the csc was check wrongly and hidden. Do not install anything yet because this method will do hard reset on your phone. Then flash to JPJPG without pit and re-partition if its contain one file only.
Its work for me, hopefully its works for you too. Good luck

I'm wanna to change to JPJPJ and I got to the part when I need change the suitable csc to XSG and I don't have such an option, if it's care my phone is i9000T.
arabic on darky's rom
I'm guessing you want to go to the arabic rom for the use of the arabic language, am I correct, if so why not just flash darky's custom rom version 9.2 that with a darky add on has full arabic support her is the link if you want to try, I would highly recomend it:

If you can get into that part, maybe you can try to check any other than the current one. Just try an error.
Hello am very new to android. Have just got a I5800 that was originally on t mobile. Its unlocked now but i want to flash a generic official rom. I know how to root it if needs be. Could someone advise me on how to go about the debranding.
Thanks in advance

Go to samfirmware.com there you'll find roms (official). Search here in the forum for a flashing guide...
ok i have just found the flashing guide.
i forgot to ask about the CSC. i have a diffrent windows mobile samsung (omnia lite b7300) and when i flashed this for the first time i never knew about the CSC.
my question is this. i assume flashing one package will also flash the CSC, and on the winmo omnia lite the CSC had details of the operators that the data settings are automatically recognised for.
is this the same for android devices and if so does anyone have a UK English CSC for the i5800 or is there any way i can back it up and reflash or am i just worrying about nothing
thanks for your help
Well if you're asking that if you flash one package, it will also flash the csc? Probable and if you want a csc for i5800 just download jpf.
yeah looks like JPF has a english CSC.. hope it has provider settings for the uk lol.
am gonna go try flash when the firmwares downloaded hopefully il be ok.
thanks everyone for your fast replys
anyone got any english i5800 roms with CSC included before i smash it out of frustration. loved this phone before this
found the language option but i still need a english uk default rom or csc because of service proivider settings and when i hard reset
Well download a rom from here and flash and you should be on froyo in the u.k and if not try finding an XW rom

thanks people
just found that you can change the CSC and product code same way you do with another phone (the SGS i think)
*#272*imei#
where imei is your imei
also hard resets, but on reboot it asked me if i was o2 prepay postpay or tesco mobile.
PERFECT!
off to see wat KIES says.
EDIT :
This device cannot be updated
PDA:JPM / PHONE : JP4 / CSC : JPF (XEU)
Not that that matters i have the right csc
Hi there!
Does any body has a values from Irish O2 operator for PDA/Phone/CSC and product code.
Trying to find them ...
What exactly do you mean? If you are trying to switch a phone from another country or want to check whether it's set up for Ireland, try *#272* (your imei number without the brackets)# This will tell you what region, should be XEU for Ireland. Post exactly what is you are looking to do.

It shows me O2I. But I've reflashed my device by Multi-CSC firmware and changed it to this value. Cos previous firmware I've used from some of Nordic countries.
I wonna reflashed back to stock firmware and need to know which one is stock for Irish O2.
I think you need to know which firmware was originally on your phone i.e. Froyo 2.2 for example. Then download the stock firmware from here for that version. If you purchased your phone since October 2010 I think it would have been Froyo 2.1 or possibly Froyo 2.2 As I said earlier, on your dialer put in *#272* followed by your phone imei number, then # This will tell you whether you are on XEU which you should be for Ireland. If you have Multi CSC on the phone you should be able to change it to XEU if needed. Why do you want to go back to the stock rom anyway?

Correct. But not only 2.2, any firmware. And then could download latest one by using Samsung Fus downlaoder.

I9100xwke2 / i9100o2ike1 / i9100xxkdj / i9100xwke2 o2i gt-i9100 ie o2
Thanks Odia but I'm looking for the first SGS I9000
Ok,what version was on your phone when purchased? What version is on your phone now? What region is your phone set to now (see my earlier posts on how to do this)?
You won't be able to download the correct stock rom from here unless you know what version was on it when bought. For warranty, it should not make much difference unless your phone is set to a region other than Ireland.
I'm still struggling to know what it is exactly that you are trying to do, your phone has been flashed, right? What version was on before flashing and what version did you flash onto the phone?
Just thought of something, are you missing some of the provider specific apps? Is your phone rooted? Is your phone unlocked? Are you looking to return it to original status including O2 specific apps?

It's PDA: I9000XWJS8, PHONE: I9000XXJPY, and CSC: I9000OXXJS5.
Date: 01/04/2011.
If your product code is O2i, then you got the preset UK (O2i), maybe it's for ireland and not UK?

I have flashed the latest SEE (South Eastern Europe - I8190XXALJL_I8190OXXALJ8_HOME.tar.md5 ) using ODIN v3.04 and I still haven't unlocked the phone
It is cell locked to Vodafone Romania
I guess I gotta pay the 10$ to unlock it at a Vodafone shop.
Stupid cell lock!

As I really hate private messages, I post here the procedure for flashing official SEE firmware:
http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...and-stock-firmware&catid=57:how-to&Itemid=104
Important notices!
1. If the firmware package contains only one big file then use it in PDA field and no need to check Re.Partition option or use Pit file.
2. The Update or Flash operation will not Sim-Unlock your device
I already read your instruction but i cannot find where the PIT file. I really need it so much. can you tell me how to get it or attach it over here?

What I meant was that you should flash the firmware again without any PIT file selected following the instructions in my post above.
