We need someone to grab the image...

Hopefully someone can capture the OTA so it can be analyzed and ported to other non-11S ROMs and devices

I gotta stop checking for the update... I can't stop!

Note that another OTA will be coming out later this month to address the touchscreen problem. Its a problem with the firmware,
Status Update on this ticket (and related):
As many of your comments have already found, our investigation into this issue has led to isolating the cause of the behavior to the touchscreen firmware found within the One. Unfortunately, Cyanogen does not control this element, we merely serve as a vehicle to deliver and utilize the firmware as provided by other partners.
We are working with those partners to provide a permanent solution to this issue. In the meantime, in the absence of an immediate remedy, we are placing workaround solutions - including the kernel patch linked above.
As for delivery of this fix to you, while I do not have (and frankly cannot provide) a time line for deployment of this to your devices, I can state that we are anticipating a 2-staged rollout. The first build will bring the much wanted Android 4.4.4 updates to your devices, with fixes for various other items (marked as 'resolved in July OTA'). This build is already in the approval process for deployment, and we expect to release as soon as blessed by all certification parties.
The second build, also targeted for August, will provide the kernel patch and temporary workaround mentioned for this ticket. This must go through its own approval process as well, but we understand the urgency of this particular fix and are pursuing this second builds approval with that same urgency in mind.

Kind of difficult to find these updates on these things but its good to see that they're posted.

They need to fix the speaker volume during calls. It is way too low.

TWRP or CM Recovery?
Will I get the OTA Update 30O on my rooted/TWRPed OPO too?
Or do I need to flash back the CM recovery through settings/dev tools?

Anyone who has followed the unlocked bootloader/root guide stickied on this forum should get this OTA right? I used twrp recovery.

Yes you should get it. You can uncheck the recovery option in the settings to keep your custom recovery... I think the OTA will put the stock one back if you don't do this.

Super! I still have 25R:crying::crying:

Yep. It's probably the only recovery option in the settings. I don't have my phone next to me to check.

No idea I don't work for OnePlus. Will just have to wait and see although I don't have any problems with the modem.

I guess we still have to make this manually:
root needed
navigate till: /system/etc/mixer_paths.xml
open with editor
(line 571/572)
<!-- Analog output devices -->
<path name="ear">
(line 576)
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84">
Change value 84 to 92.
=================================================
(line 614)
<!-- Output paths -->
(line 624)
<path name="speaker">
<path name="spk" />
<ctl name="RX3 Digital Volume" value="80" />
<ctl name="RX4 Digital Volume" value="80" />
</path>
<path name="voice-speaker">
<path name="spk" />
<ctl name="RX3 Digital Volume" value="84" />
<ctl name="RX4 Digital Volume" value="84" />
</path>
<path name="headphones">
<path name="hph" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="84" />
</path>
<path name="voice-headphones">
<path name="hph" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="85" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="85" />
</path>
<path name="speaker-and-headphones">
<path name="spk-hph" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="84" />
<ctl name="RX3 Digital Volume" value="80" />
<ctl name="RX4 Digital Volume" value="80" />
</path>
Change the values 80,84,85 to 92.
Save and reboot.

I was really hoping that the ghost touch fix would be fixed in this update. I guess we either need another kernel that fixes it or just wait till later this month

USB Features in Windows Moible 6.1

Hi.
When connecting a Mobile device using USB to a computer, the phone asks if you want to use ActiveSync, Internet Sharing or Disk drive.
Does anyone know if where i can lock that down so users are unable to change the settings.
I hope to find something similar to as i found for Encrypting the SD card.
I use a managemetn tool to deploy .xml scripts.
The one I used for the encryption looks like this:
<wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="SecurityPolicy"> <!-- Set encryption policy such that the user cannot change the setting -->
<parm name="4134" value="0" />
</characteristic>
<characteristic type="MobileEncryption"> <!-- Turn on encryption -->
<parm name="Enable" value="1" />
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>
After deploying that users are not able to change the selection in Control panel.
I am hoping for the same thing for the USB connection..

[ROM][WWE][1/31/2010] 6.5.3 XIYLRom Mega Version 20 (23518)

Development has resumed! for now.
Pham Quang Rom customizer: The download is now up, you can grab it here or at the bottom of this post. Be warned, this cab replaces some 900 images in the rom so be prepared for a good 10 minuites of install time. When installing disable touchflo and switch the rom theme to Rock and Republic black to prevent issues. I don't take any responsibility for any damage this may cause, use this cab at your own risk. This cab is only intended for v27.
I decided a while back that I didn't like some things in PhamQuangs roms so I set about learning to cook. I intend on updating this with the newest com3 builds as they arive. Please post your issues in the comments so that I might attempt to fix them.
This rom is User Customization compatible, all the info you need regarding that is in the second post.
Update notes:
Version 20 is updated to 23518. It has the groundwork for HTC Messaging but it isn't working as of yet. It's faster but don't turn off wifi, it still isn't fixed. I've uploaded a cab that fixes 2 issues I forgot to fix while building the rom. It gets rid of the beta watermark and fixes an element of the skin I forgot to change. You can get it here.

For editing text based files I recommend Notepad2. There is a download link at my site.
Check-list:
Wifi issues (My thinking right now is that if I can have it not turned on by default the other issues will go away.)
Misc.
Optional Downloads
Opera 9.5 customized for my rom
Opera 10 beta 2 (!) customized for my rom
CeleTask Start Button Cab
SIP Changer fix (allows the use of compact qwerty and phone keypads. Can cause scrolling problems in file manager and other areas.)
Old Update Notes:
Code:
I updated it again, cooked in user customization. I also got rid of that awful blue and orange topbar wherever I could. I cant guarantee that UC will work but its worth a shot.
Version 4 loses UC, but customization finishes successfully now. Finished getting rid of MS' terrible color scheme. I probably wont update again till I get Notification and home screen task manager working. The clock now autosets from your carrier. Email setup wizard is now in, plus HTC's animated bootscreen.
Version 5 is now up! I got camera and homescreen taskmanager working. The reason why the phone doesn't restart after customization is because htc's connection setup is broken. To set up your data if the MS one doesn't autostart (I've had mixed results with that one) go to Settings\Connections\Connections and on the first page is a link that says Automatically Configure Connection. Tap that and you'll be golden. Version 6 will have HTC's Audio Manager, as that's my next goal to fix.
Version 6, contrary to my previous statements, does not have Audio Manager. It does however have the volume keys fixed, and HTC's Connection Setup now operates, tho not automatically. I'm not yet willing to claim that its better than MS' but now you have the ability to use either.
Version 7 will be coming soon. Auto connection setup now works. Mega notifications now works, is not mapped to the entire top bar tho. where the start menu used to be it gives the 6.5 default zoom thing. Phone canvas now has its position fixed and its scroll bar is gone. I went down to 23053 and it fixed the dialogue buttons and made poutlook stable. the new message button on the message tab now works. I wanna get this version with all the stuff I want in it so that the next version will just be bug fixes.
Version 7 is now ready to go. I ended up going back to 23060 so I fixed the dialogue buttons and got everything working. Audio Manager works now, as does USB to PC popup. User customization is now cooked in and does make the customization screen take a little longer but is very worth it. If you have issues with customization put this file on your SD card, it should fix it. I'm fairly sure I've gotten rid of the most of the brokenness but please post any issues you have.
Version 8 has been updated to 23069 and has sped up dramatically. Home screen task manager is broken, its a problem with this version of WinMo.
Version 9 is now up. It has been updated to 23071 but not much else has changed. I cooked in the Mega's wifi stuff and it did not break wifi. I still don't recommend changing the wifi's or bluetooth's settings, if its on don't turn it off or vise versa. It will cause severe slowdowns. Cleartype is now enabled by default, and I got rid of the message sent notification. Alarms are fixed if you noticed they were broken. I cooked the correct camera back in but it its not working; will attempt to fix later.
Version 10 brings with it many fixes. The Wifi and bluetooth issues are now gone along with the speed issues associated with them. I cooked in psShutXP and it is now the default function of holding the power key. Camera is still broken, I'll keep working on it.
Version 11 has been updated to 23081. Other than that not much else is different. If you are experiencing issues update. If not then hold off for version 12.
Version 12 is now ready. it brings with it Opal's original comm manager and album. Camera is still broken, but I removed the beta watermark.
Version 13 is now up. The camera now works (bows) but other than that no real changes have been made. If any new issues arise let me know. There was quite a few changes under the hood of this one.
Version 14 is ready. No major changes have occurred, but some of the stupid things that broke last time are no longer broken. USB to PC is still broken and if your waiting for that I don't recommend waiting, its not a priority. The OS is now 23085, but that hasn't really brought anything with. Stability is better and that is now my main goal.
Version 15 is up, without Audio Manager. but it does have USB to PC, and auto connection setup, which are both good things. Its not really any faster but there is a few subtle changes throughout, such as Comm Manager being skinned, and the message sent notification being destroyed.
Version 16 is ready to go. Audio Manager is still broken, but I fixed Album. Not many other differences.
Version 17 has quite a few changes. If you hold down the start button it will open up a task manager called [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530564"]Showcase[/URL] by [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=402300"]amarullz[/URL]. CeleTask is also cooked in. There are shortcuts to both of these in Start\Accessories. Also in there is a shortcut used for [URL="http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/wing-linux/wiki"]Wing linux[/URL]. HTC sip changer now works so you can get to the other HTC keyboards such as compact qwerty. The new Comm Manager from the mega is back in, I managed to fix its issue with the opal so now its working correctly. Many of the issues that were in the previous versions are gone, but HTC audio manager still doesn't work. If you want to have CeleTask be the task manager set to the start button install the cab below.
Version 18 fixes customization. The rom customization is now done by HTC's new solution which is faster and more reliable. The user customization is now done by [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692"]XDA_UC[/URL]. If you have your own SDConfig.txt set up it will still work but now you can put whatever cabs or xmls in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\ and it will automatically process them. There might be other noticeable changes but I'm not sure due to pain meds. Enjoy.
Version 19 does not fix wifi like I'd hoped but it is more stable. Its version is 28002 and is part of why its more stable. Audio Manager works fine now. There are probably more changes but my rom hasn't really been my main focus for a while so I don't know.
For testing.

I honestly have know idea what is wrong with the wifi. If I turn it off stuff breaks all over the phone including Comm manager and home settings; plus it makes everything slow down and kills the battery life. My advice for the moment is to leave it at what ever setting its initially at in the rom. As for the camera, I broke that and it will be back in the next version.
as for me, i hv problem with: wifi, bluetooth, program files not showing whats on storage card (it sort of cannot detect the memory card at all, and cannot tranfer files from pc). home setting isnt working either, the camera and the volume control button.

I figured bluetooth might be affected as well, but I haven't bothered to try it. as for the other issues, I'm not having any of those but I believe there associated with the wifi bug. My suggestion to you is to hard reset or upgrade the rom and then leave wifi/bluetooth alone; and then the rest of the rom will work just fine.

I just tried making a cab that replaces the camera with a newer one and it wouldn't replace it. I hadn't realized the camera was broken, as I never use it but now that I know I will start working on an update to fix that and possibly the wifi issues.

HI,
i just asked about the look and feel.....i mean the icons, the upper and lower task bars, the theme, manila 2D old with new icons(as the new manila 2D is heavy enough) etc. So this is not the functionality but only the interface.
Thanks

I have no plans on changing the appearance of this rom. I really like the Mega's color scheme and what not so the appearance will probably stay the way it is for now.
is the camera working now?
Camera is not working..
@XirXes: this ROM is fast and stable, but comm mangager is not working correctly (bluetooth button is not work, wifi can't turn off) I've solved by this one
I think you should try htc album 2.5 and older camera version.. may be it works???

Samsung Focus i917 using Straight talk

Samsung Focus i917 using Straight talk,
I CAN - txt & receive txt, call & receive calls, connect to internet without wifi (sometimes).
I CAN'T - Send pic in txt message or open pic's received from txt, Marketplace opens! Tap Samsung Zone - No Results, app has -0- app's, When going to Settings:cellular:add apn, there is only 3 entry box's - 1 Apn, 2 User Name, 3 Password.
There probably is more but if I can get past these problems listed above, I would be very happy
Text works without the right APN, it is tied to the sim card.
As far as the data, the correct APN is att.mvno
Don't put anything else in there. If you put the proxy in there, the marketplace won't work.
As far as MMS, this is a problem. You need a unlocked ROM. and then you add in the straightalk.xml file that is found somewhere here on this forum.

Hi wildbill
Tried the att.mvno!!! I edited the APN which was wap.tracfone, and changed it to att.mvno, saved and shut down phone for 30 sec. I restarted the phone, and tried to send a pic to my wife, still didn't send pic, so I sent a txt to my wife which didn't work. I have changed the apn back to wap.tracfone, maybe I did something wrong.
Thanks!!!! I'll look for the fix to unlock the Rom
Did I do something wrong

Hi, i too have the focus i917 and it seems us focus owners have a few options when it comes to mms.....att and tmobile will work with mms once the correct settings are applied......mvno's will not work. Custom roms are the other option. I have two smart phones....the focus and htc one x att branded.....i switch my simple mobile sim card and att sim card back and forth from the phones. simple works fine with mms cuz the htc one allows for mms setting editing....focus dont work with mms unless i use att or tmobile.

For MMS you need unlock and use the root tools (see here).. I just did my friends who has an i917 using Net10. I had to modify the XML config file (the one attached in the link didn't work) and upload it to the phone using the tutorila link above. If you know what MMS/APN settings post them here and I will create an XML file for you that you can use to upload to the phone.
Here is what Net10 sent out for the MMS/APN settings. It requires no authenctication, so AUTHTYPE = "none".for all AUTHTYPE entries.
APN Name: NET10
APN: wap.tracfone
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.tracfone.com
Here is the XML file where I needed to make the changes (in bold).

lately, i decided to install magldr and install custom roms. I installed dynamics v2.0, clean rom and now im on the rom that makes the phone in to a nokia lumia 800(name escapes me). i tried this last rom because i has access to 3 diffrent apps that attempt to set data and mms. none of those apps have helped. I have followed the tutorial concerning the xml file but still dont have mms. I dont think i have the provxml file edited correctly. Im on airvoice(apn att.mvno, port 80, http://mmsc,cingular.com) i am able to download the file to my phone and move the file and rename very easily, but this file doesnt always seem to have a place per the tutorial. i had to creat my own provxml file in the root. if u could help me with the augmentation of that file i would be very greatful. I think im gonna flash the phone by to dynamics rom because i like it best.
After i posted the above comment i was able to get mms working. i was able to send a pic but i dont know if i can receive yet because i have to go outside with the other phone to send mms because we have solar shield in our house which diminishes cell signal. will check it out soon and post what i find....thanks ajl7519 for the provxml info above. that was the info i needed.

[APP]Volume Boost for Nexus 5 [V. 2.1.4] 100,000+ Installs - Full MARSHMALLOW support

Formally the "Nexus 5 Real Volume Booster" The app is now Called "Volume Boost for Nexus 5".
Hey guys. I just published a free app based on the work done by SuperHanss http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532788&page=63
This app will create the file for you with the values you specify for Headset and Speaker volumes. Makes the whole process even easier and you can try multiple values really fast until you are satisfied.
The app will actually generate a file that you can then install with you custom recovery image.
Web Site: www.pc-rev.com
Very easy to use:
Detailed Video Instructions: http://www.pc-rev.com/instructions.html
1- Download the app from the playstore Nexus 5 Real Volume Booster
2- Run App
3- Enter desired volume values. (Please be careful and don't enter something crazy, max values are suggested in the app)
4- Hit "Save"
5- Hit "Reboot to Recovery" (requires root, if you dont have root, reboot into recovery as you normally would)
6- Install (Flash) /sdcard/N5VolumeBoost.zip (Tested wit TWRP and CWM)
Please backup first. As always, use at your own risk.
Hope you like it, let me know if you encounter any bugs.
More editable values to come in future updates.

Change location of temporary files from SD Card to internal storage (you can now delete the N5VolumeBoost folder from the root of your SD card)
Changed the way temporary files are deleted
Update: Version 2.0.2
Added:
- Spanish
- Russian
- Italian
- Hindi
Update: Version 2.0.1
French language added
Update: Version 2.0.0
Major update.
I have completely changed the way the file is being generated. The app now reads your existing mixer_paths.xml and changes only the speaker and headphone values. To my knowledge no other mod or app does this. The app would previously overwrite the entire mixer_paths.xml with one stored in the app along with the values you specified for speaker and headphones.
Implications:
1- Any other modifications you or one of your apps have previously done to the mixer_paths.xml will not be overwritten by my app.
2- This also makes the app pretty much future proof. Since it is reading your existing file, the app doesn't have to store different versions of the mixer_paths.xml for every new version of Android. It just reads your existing file looks only for the values it needs to change and doesn't touch the rest of the file.
3- Because of reason 2 the app should now be compatible with the L Preview and any modifications that could be applied to the L Preview until the final release.
Update: Version 1.3.0
The most requested feature has now been added:
The app will now read and show the active values for speaker and headphone volume instead of showing the Nexus 5 defaults.
Update: Version 1.2.9
Minor UI Modifications
Update: Version 1.2.8
Added 2 buttons. "Restore Defaults 4.4.2" and "Restore Defaults 4.4.3"
This will help users that are having issues upgrading to Android 4.4.3 with the OTA update.

i just tried it, and it works well. thank you
Subscribeded!
Nice!!!!
I was asked if I could add in call volume settings to the app. It currently only supports headphone and speaker volume.
This is easy but I want to make sure sure to name them correctly in the app so people know what these values actually do.
The following values are modified by SuperHanss in the /system/etc/mixer_paths.xml. I'm not 100% sure on what they actually accomplish and don't want to mislead users that install the app.
Can anyone let me know if the followin assumptions are correct?
Not sure what this does?
<path name="handset">
<ctl name="EAR PA Gain" value="POS_6_DB" />
This would improve microphone sensitivity?
<path name="handset-mic">
<ctl name="DEC6 Volume" value="99" />
This would increave voice volume using the phone when next to the ear?
<path name="voice-handset">
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="99" />
This would increave voice volume using the speakerphone?
<path name="voice-speaker-mic">
<ctl name="DEC4 Volume" value="99" />
If you could also recommend maximum values, that would be great.
Thanks a lot
mind asking why you need root to create a file on sdcard? should be possible with regular app permissions...

You don't need root to create the zip file, but you do need root ot install it. At least as far as I know, unless you can install and have a fully working custom recovery image without root?
I believe to edit files in the system partition, you need root. You do not need root to edit files in the sdcard/storage directory.

Yes, I know that. Here is a clarification of how the APP works.
It creates the .zip file that you will need to import later with your custom recovery image (NO ROOT NEEDED HERE)
You then reboot into recovery to install the ZIP file (ROOT NEEDED HERE)
So in theory ROOT is not required for the APP to generate the zip file but the zip file alone is useless. ROOT is needed to install this zip file which is why I'm saying the app needs ROOT. If I don't write that i'll get a bunch of bad feedback saying the app doesn't work.
I have also added a "Reboot to recovery" button for convenience which does require ROOT if you decide to use it.
Hope this clarifies everything.
Thank you
Works great!!

Great job there. I tryed 95 but it's way too much the sound isn't clean at all. I found 91 to be perfect for me. Just a question, do i have to keep the files it has created or can i delete them all once i've flashed?
You can safely delete the files after you flash the zip file.

I know the values that have to be changed, unfortunately no one seems to be able to answer my questions. I can easily add these values in the app but I want to be sure to name them correctly. Until then I cannot add them.
I still need an answer to the following questions:
Not sure what this does?
<path name="handset">
<ctl name="EAR PA Gain" value="POS_6_DB" />
This would improve microphone sensitivity?
<path name="handset-mic">
<ctl name="DEC6 Volume" value="99" />

Hi everyone, and thank you for your support. The number of installations has surpassed my expectations and will soon hit the 500 mark after just a couple of days. Reviews and comments are very good. (don't forget to add yours to the play store). When I first started, I was just looking for an idea for my first Android APP, but it looks like the app is getting some traction.
Considering the apps early success, here is a little survey.
I was contemplating the idea of adding a little banner ad to the top of the APP. I don't think this would bother anyone but I'd like your feedback. Would something like this bother you? Would it affect your perception of the APP to the point of not using it or to lower the rating you would normally give it?
I was also thinking of maybe creating a second "Pro" version whithout ads for $0.99. The free version would have the exact same functions but with a little banner ad. The pro version would be there for people that would like to support my work.
Hey, i'm sure we would all like a couple more $
Please note the Free version will always stay free and will always have the same functions as the pro version.
Let me know you opinion.
Thank you
The only suggestion I can make is to get rid of the custom background and keep it the plain dark KitKat style. It'll look much more professional that way.

Easy Fix For The Speakers Low Sound Bug

The speakers' sound on my Nexus was very low and I did some internet searches to find a fix.
I didn't find any but I saw that many people were affected too, and that's why I share here the solution that I found.
I run my own home made ROM so I can't tell whether it'll work for you or not, it may depend on the ROM you're on, your configuration and who knows what but you can try, it's an easy one.
You will need to be rooted, otherwise ask your your ROM dev to include the fix in his next release.
Navigate to /system/vendor/etc and open mixer_paths.xml with your favorite root text editor.
Search for:
<path name="speaker">
below it find and edit the 2 following lines so that they look like this :
<ctl name="BOOST Left Ch Select" value="3" />
<ctl name="BOOST Right Ch Select" value="3" />
Reboot.
If the speaker still lowers its volume then go again to /system/vendor/etc, open mixer_paths.xml, search for <path name="speaker-reverse"> and below it find and edit the 2 following lines so that they look like this :
<ctl name="BOOST Left Ch Select" value="3" />
<ctl name="BOOST Right Ch Select" value="3" />
Reboot, done!!
It worked for me, I hope it will for you too!:good:
Just tried this. I can confirm it's working for me. Thanks!
iam on Colt OS 9.0. iam having this problem that speakers volume is slowly decreased as battery gets low.
iam not saying this is rom problem.NO. i had this issue in 7.0 8.0 8.1 and now 9.0 . and battery is also replaced so it's new.
will it fix it ?
This needs to be stickied.
