Hello all
I have Samsung Galaxy Young running stock Android 2.3. If I leave wifi on, the battery ends really quickly.
I want to disable WiFi and Internet on screen off in order to save the battery - similar to Sony STAMINA mode available on Xperia. Anybody can help plz?
You might want to try BX Power - search for "BX Power" on Google Play... It does exactly what you want + the periodic updates

Hi all!
I just got a unlocked Galaxy S5 yesterday, and so i left my phone charging all night for a perfect first charge. This morning i removed him from charging and started to use him. And so after 2 minutes, the phone went from 100% to 99% almost right away! I got now to 90% with only 20 mins on screen time , i know it's not normal because i already a S5 some months ago and his battery life was perfect as much as my g2 was or even better. Do i have a defective battery or samsung apps running in background just eating up my battery? What you guys recommend me to do? What apps are known on this phone to be battery eater?
Best regards all.
We can't guess what's eating your battery, you'll need to look at the battery usage and/or install something like BetterBatteryStats to find out exactly what it is. Post screen shots for more help as well.
Keep GPS off, Sync off etc.
I keep everything on and I don't lose battery that fast.
I found some things over the web and i disabled samsung push service and link plataform and improved a lot my battery, it's not draining that fast anymore, i think it's normal now.
Now something stange is happening, everytime i check my battery it doesn't even show my screen usage and the top usage is android os... why is this happening? I've already hard reseted my phone and same thing goes.. what can i do? I have lots of samsung stuff disabled same as some google i dont use... should i replace my phone since it's still on the first 14 days??
Best regards all.

You probably need to go to an authorized service center. But how can it get damaged so fast? Did you disconnect from charging cable before battery reaches 100% and connect charging cable when battery is above 10% frequently?

Really I don't know, I bought it used just a week ago from a person that gave me also the receipt from 01/08/2016. I don't know if this is battery related or any other problem, I'm just feeling to exclude software problems as I tried everything (also rolling back to a previous update or trying it without SIM, apps, sync, AOD etc.)
Can you describe your problem ? Like are you having problems with very low sot or very hot device?

Sure u can. Its just not as easy as popping the back cover. The s7 edge and s7 is actually easier to do than the s6 series. Look at ifixit.com and see if they have oem batteries. They will have a tutorial for the process

Actually it seems to suck away my battery life specially when screen is off. No matter if it's only on stand by with wifi/radio on or in airplane mode, my battery drains like I've never seen before on standby.
Stranger thing, the problem isn't that big when screen is on (obviously battery drains faster, but not by lot more).
Device goes hot locally, specially in the mid-right side, when I use data and I have bad signal; when I'm calling I noticed that most of the times I lose the call, or from a certain moment the other person can't hear me anymore if I still can hear him.
I don't know if it's battery related, a radio issue or any other problem. The fact is that it drains my battery even in airplane mode or without a sim installed.
When i installed an app through apk and i didnt know it was rogur until my device started heating up with no apps in the background. So i used malwarebytes and found malware. After removing it and rebooting it the device calmed after. But then again this might not be your fix.
Hi all,
This is the situation today after 3h10min of battery, -30%, at home with wi-fi (no GPS, no bluetooth, no AOD, no NFC, no sync) and only 50m of screen on.
I also deactivated some bloatware and other apps from App manager and Package Disabler Pro (Google app, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Oculus, Samsung Gear VR, Knox, Samsung Game Center, Om Customize); also unchecked options to send statistics to Google and Samsung, and all the other stuff I read from the topic "Temporary battery fix".
The situation is still the same. P.S. I'm on latest BPJG (unbranded) with November 1st patch.
Might not be the battery at fault. You have no standby/sleep, something is keeping your phone awake. Your Android System looks to high. If you have the receipt couldn't you send it to Samsung?

have you tried to factory reset it, if that doesnt work try to flash newer firmware like nougat or newer version of mm with odin
I tried factory reset but still problem persists. Now I'll try with Nougat official beta update flashed from Odin to see if I can fix it.
After several months of not using my lem5 I turned it yesterday on and was surprised how long my battery was holding with motion gesture on and a very colourfull Orange face plate.
It's strange that my battery performance improved after months not using it.
So I had a look for updates and there was one. Installed it and today also with same settings so motion display on. I powered the watch about 9h on till now and it's midnight.
This is about 15hours and even did flight mode off to made 2 Phone calls to show my collegues. It had still 30% battery life.
So I'm wondering right now if there are some other lemfo lem5 user with same experiance or if they have some other tweaks to get even better battery life.
Can't We manage the 4 cores and disabled those or certain. I suppose they already have those done in the latest firmware and that there are 2 low power and 2 high power cpu.
Edit: First I wanted to return my watch and everything was already aranged with the seller but finaly I liked the watch so much that I keeped the watch and I'm happy now for not selling because my whole home automation works great on it. Wifi doorbell, cameras, Lights, heater, sun screens and go so on.
Thanks for sharing.

If yo go to 'play store' and put in 'iot', you will find "MANY' . . . There are lots to learn, lots of forum / podcasts on the subject. They agree you have to start / have an 'iot hub' .
I don't have the time to put in all those IoT tools so that's the reason I bought a finished Product so The HomeWizard and this one fit's with al my wishes

No, absolutely not. Unless you can relocate all the antennas which are in the strap.
I have it in front of me now. I promise you that this is not an option

Thanks Pablo, I was already surprised by the antenna issue. However, in many reviews was made that the belt could be changed, a shame.
How is the battery carried ?, better than No.1 D5 +?
Greetings.

Yes, battery is actually very good considering it has 2g ram. Lasts very well. I work as a consultant for the firmware makers and we have worked hard to make this a good software solution.

Have you participated in the firmware of this smartwatch? What material is the belt? I had a NO.1 D5 + but the leather strap was damaged very soon ...

Thanks for the report, your experience is that this smartwatch is nothing exceptional or different from any other smartwatch. With a sim card, imagine what it would cost to get to the end of the day?
Thank you friend for sharing your experience.
What about GPS accuracy? I have read that is very poor, worst than others similar smartwatches. This is an important point to check for me. Thanks a lot.

I've tested my smartwatch twice to go to run. I used "sport tracker" and all was ok until I arrived at home and left the device over the table. The watch started to sound and said that battery was very hot the two days. And after restart the watch there were two times more that it was very hot again. I have AllCall_V1.3_B_20171017 compilation version. What can I do to solve it?

Hi Guys.. I recently saw this on Ali express and it got my attention.
My primary use of this is going to be as a watch and fitness tracker while gymming. What's the weight like?
I don't want to use this for calls or any other notification.
Would you suggest this or some other watch?
I Like this because it's round and looks much like an ordinary watch instead of a smart watch.
Please suggest,
Thank you

Hello, be aware that these results were found in several german forums. So probably this reason/cause is valid for european devices, but might not affect US devices or asian devices.
Reason for battery drain in flight mode is the buggy phone modem in Samsung S8 Android 8 Oreo.
In case you experienced massive battery drain in flight mode, you can easily test yourself:
> Set preferred network mode to 2G/3G only, wait 2 minutes and then enable flight mode during night: You will experience only few battery drain, as you know from Android 7 Nougat.
Workaround: Flashing phone modem of Android 7 Nougat. But you will lose OTA Updates capabilities.
So maybe just test and give detailed Feedback to Samsung. If many users do, they have to notice this bug and will hopefully getting it fixed.
Hey! This is also happening to the S9 too. Hopefully they will fix it one day.

The battery life is pretty amazing in general so far after the first few days when it was just average. However i don't think I can put this thing on flight mode now unless I want to drain 10-20% battery overnight. I tried do not disturb mode instead and lost only around 5%

There are 2 way to resolve this issue 1) flash/overwrite the Samsung_S8_NOUGAT "CP" file (modem) with Odin 2) switch to 2G/3G before turning on flight mode
I've reported the bug to Samsung Italy Community forums, and now they're investigating the problem (the first Samsung moderator attempt was "...consuming 10-20 in flight mode overnight it's NOT a bug but a normal beahviour..." (!!!) )
@hdnick
Could you please give us the URL/link to discussion in italian Samsung community?
Here is the one from the german Samsung community - many users complaining:
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Mobil/Akkuverbrauch-im-Flugmodus-Offline-Galaxy-S8/td-p/435743
So we could give that links to Samsung's moderators. I'm not sure wether they communicate across country borders...
I'm having the exact same problem on my Note 8 as well.
SM-N950F, Build N950FXXU3CRC1 (Offical Oreo, just released yesterday).
On standby, device uses 1% per hour with Wi-Fi or mobile data turned on (which is normal), but as much as 3% per hour with Flight Mode enabled. (compared to 0.1% per hour on Nougat).
This appears to affect all Samsung devices on Android Oreo (S8, Note8 and S9 at the moment), not sure about S7.
I thought I was the only one having this problem until I found this thread.
Hope Samsung fixes it soon

Great! Could you ask them if a fix is also going to come out for the S9?
They are aware that the S9 is also affected.
I've just made a post on reddit about this (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/8b0hpj/strange_battery_drain_on_idle/).
It seems i have this very exact problem!!!!
Except i can eliminate the drain by doing this: restart phone. Inmediately after it starts, put in airplano mode: NO overnight drain.

There is a new update, CRD1. I flashed today. Tomorrow i will tell you if the modem airplane mode drain is fixed.
Still the same. WIFI is more stable, but airplane drain is still there.

Any update about this? I own a S7 and its running oreo but i have have the same problem where it drains 21% in 8 hours in flightmode. So hope this gets fixed because i am really done with samsung.
CRED firmware just got out. In german forums, soma say that it fixes the problem. I'm trying to download the update.
CRED don't fix the bug ( battery drain ) in normal standby ( with connection data OFF , only gsm active )
This thread is about the massive battery drain in flight mode.
This bug was fixed. Finally
Finally found the solution. Enter settings, and then find Permissions, then click on Body sensor permission and then, turn off Google play services. The battery is much better now.
