Can't post on development thread, so I thought I'd try here.
I'm running Gummy latest nightly and tried to load arrrrrgh's CM kernel. All I got was the bootloader unlock warning. Had to restore TWRP backup.
I'd like to be able to underclock min. setting for a little more life. The question is which kernel will allow this?
BTW the towelroot and bootloader unlock has given this phone new life. I just might keep it another year or two.
Arrrghhh's kernel it's just for jb bootloader and its a 3.0 kernel..

Yeah, I kinda figured that out when it wouldn't boot.
I think every kernel supports underclock

I've tried several apps (trickster, Jrummy, etc) and none seem to be able to underclock the stockGummy kernel.
I think in gummy should be cpu clock controller part of settings. It should appear apfter clicking 6 times on build number just like developer settings

I've seen the the performance list in Advanced system options, but nothing I've found will lower min. CPU below 384
And there's any other 3.0 or 3.4 which allows lower frequencies?
I don't remember that I've ever seen kernel with lower frequencies support on RAZR M.

the latest CM11 rom is 4.4.3 from what I've seen.
I thinhk that our phone get couple of updates. New policy of big companys ia to support phone for 2 years at least and get 2 major updates. Like s2 starts from 2.3.4 to 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 and ICS 4.0 to 4.0.4 and JB 4.1 and 4.1.2 2 major updates ICS JB So Sony should provide at least one major update and couple of small fixes.

Each head is a world, you will find many variants, you will have to find for yourself what is best for your daily use, there are those who are changing ROM every 3 days.

Wrong forum. Anyway there isn't the best ROM or Kernel, it's your choice.
Hi, I have a Moto Z and want to migrate to this Huawei, but my doubt is if the processor is overclockable via custom kernel. Thanks

Not exactly what you're looking for but LiveBoot on Play Store looks amazing and works perfectly on my Note 9, it's basically verbose boot with colors. From Chainfire I may add
