Hi Guys, noobie here so apologies in advance!!!
I have a UK spec LG G2 802 on EE.
I rooted it yesterday using TOWELROOT and installed TWRP then flashed Cloudy G3 rom, all worked fine happy days.
On turning my phone on this morning it shows the "LG security issue"message.I can get into Recovery ok but i think
I have accidentally deleted the Cloudy G3 rom yesterday so cannot re flash .
To make matters worse My back up isnt there.
What is the simplest way to get a Rom onto my phone to reflash.
JUST DONE A BIT MORE SEARCHING ON HERE ,WOULD THIS BE MY ANSWER

Hi all, I have a LG G2 from Videotron model LG-D801, variant D801V11B. I pretty sure it is the same model for WIND user. I got it rooted with the chinese method. I did not find any TWRP image for this device so I tried some and finally got it working with the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2rog.img, every other image/version i tried put me in a black screen with white character saying something like: [760] Fastboot mode started \n[800] udc_start(). I think I tried every version i could find up to 2.6.3.7.
Now each time I try to install a custom rom on my device i get this error: error executing updater binary... And it seems that I am unable to find any custom roms that was developed for my phone. I was wondering if a section could be made for the canadian version of this phone and if someone could help me put a custom roms on it. Ho i wish I could put paranoid android or hellfire kitkat on it tired of the stock rom
Thanks in advance
Same here... I'm stuck in fasboot mode with access to CWRM from D803. I can install a modified version of CM11, but after boot it goes back to fastboot. All other ROMs I tried so far fail.
Anybody successfully flashed a 4.4.X rom on this variant ?

Got here late but better late than never. In theory D801 is a D803, and every d803 rom should work on it. Paranoid has a version for d803 that has worked pretty well on my phone but I wouldnt recommend it. There is a workaround for installing d802 roms on this phone by changing the updater script and afterwards flashing a d803 kernel.
I could make you a zip with any d802 rom (cm11, aokp, probam, etc) that could work on your phone without flashing any additional files. Just tell me what rom you prefer and what kernel and done

If I am correct currently you are running 2.6.3.2 and are trying to flash a kk based aosp Rom well the problem is the recovery it won't flash it because it's before the kk binary, the only way to be able to flash the Rom is to find twrp 2.6.3.3 or higher
Sent from my LG-D800 running stock kk, rooted with philz using XDA app
I need your help

Your "D801" is really a D803. Use the tools in this thread.
Hello everyone, I need a little help.
I already posted this in the sprint section, but couldn't get much help there, and did not know if this was a problem with a lot of G2. If anyone could shed any light on this, I would appriciate it very much!
Now I am not new to the rooting ordeal. I have been rooting ever since my old EVO 4G (yes, with those dreaded boot loaders.) My personal phone is running Paranoid Android RC2 (Optimus G) so I know about the standard wiping process for ROMs.
I have successfully rooted my friends G2 (Sprint) and I had TWRP on it, but the TWRP failed to make backups, so now I have Philz Touch (the custom CWM) on it and it backups fine.
My problem is when I try to flash a custom AOSP ROM, the phone only boots to the LG logo. My friend really wants Cyanogenmod on his phone but it refuses to boot. I have searched for an answer but have no idea. This is the first time I have been truly stumped. Other times after some work I figured it out but this one I do not get. Here are all the details:
Sprint LG G2 (LS980)
Kitkat Modem/Update (stock 4.4.2)
Stock ZVC
Rooted by the Autorec.apk. Root works just fine.
Philz touch recovery.
I have even found an AOSP modem you can flash in recovery, but that was no dice. Even messed up the backup on Philz and it wouldn't get past sprint screen until I flashed KK modem.
I have tried many different nightlys/Msnapshots and Mahdi ROM and it won't boot.
Is there something I am missing?
Thanks again for any help guys

Flash the modem for the ZV8 release and you will be good to boot CM. I flashed CM11 a couple weeks ago and ran into the same thing. As soon as I flashed the ZV8 modem, CM booted right up. When going back to a ZVC build, you'll need to flash the ZVC modem. That includes a backup. You can find the needed modem zips in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426. Also, CM just released a snapshot (stable) version today so if that's not what you have to flash, go get it.
Recently I had to send my phone to be repaired, prior to which I reset the phone completely
When I get it back I plan to use LG flash tool 2014 to flash the rom I downloaded here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-d802/rom-stock-d80220h-flashable-root-t2940789
The 1st link in the 1st post - (looks like this http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downlo...D80220H_00.kdz)
Is that the standard 20H rom for the D802? I live in south east asia if that makes a difference and have the 32gb model
After flashing this ROM, will I be able to use ioroot25 to root my phone and autorec to install recovery? Are there any known problems with these tools and the new firmware?
I did a bit of reading and couldn't find any red flags. If some knowledgeable person could just read this and say its all good, I would be very grateful! =)
I have installed Cloudy 3.1 ROM which is very great and smooth but I have some issues like notification sound is very low and I cant even hear SMS notification if I am outside.. on the other hand I am getting 2 hours 35 minutes on screen time from 100 to 5 percent of battery, which is not so good. I have Korean LG G2 F320K variant which was officially updated to Lollipop and than I installed previous cloudy G2 3.0 and then I flashed this one.
No I have only one question, that I want move back to kitkat ROM which would either be Cloudy Stock or Cloudy Flex as I have heard many good reviews.. So please suggest me the that which bootloader thingie I need to flash along with the flashing kitkat rom after cloudy 3.1.. there is return to stock method in which we need to flash return to kitkat zip but that is for D802... So please suggest me..ASAP I would be greatful for any help...
P.S i just want to avoid the traditional flashing the KDZ method...to return to KITKAT.. so please suggest a way forward to get back to kitkat..from lollipop

Hi, depends how you have installed your recovery:
If you have installed it for example with autorec v2 or twrp bumped by Blastgator, you have bootloader kitkat (because downgrade the bootloader) so you can flash a rom kitkat base.
On lollipop I have installed the recovery from f320_lp.apk and then I installed BUMP recovery.. so this means I can flash kitkat ROM now??
I have LG G2 D802 (I don't know if is the same for F320) and in general with twrp bump you can flash rom kitkat bump.
Now I don't now what you do to flash recovery and if everything is ok...but if you are not sure you can brick your device!
Best choice to return stock is always to flash kdz because reset all partition....
However for security wait other reply by F320's owner.
Hi folks
I'm kinda newbie here, I need your assistance
I have a D802 EUR version kitkat 4.4.2
I was able to root phone and install cloudy g2 3.3 but when I rebooted, phone was not working I had to spend hours to revive the phone by going to download mode and using the port COM 41 method, finally I installed a stock rom and phone is back to life
I don't wanna make mistake again, I guess I should have applied a patch for lollipop before rebooting which I haven't done. I'm kinda confused with what patch I should use, is it something doable to begin with.
1- here http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...m-att-t3124809 they are reffering to this link http://blastagator.ddns.net/d800_rom_patch.php I'm not sure what file to flash?
or
2- here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...-d802-t3137055 the guy said flash this patch D802_PATCH_GO_LP_V1.1_droidth.zip
Please shed some light on this so I can have my cloudy 3.3 up and running
I appreciate your help
