[Q] huawei ideos x5 PRO ROMS

im buying the pro version today, and i want to know the compatibility of roms with this device. (diferent snapdragon cpu version)
did any1 try to flash the new device with the custom roms from the original development section?
I just wish to have miui on it

u8800pro also have BCM4329 wifi solution instead of qualcomm libra one

I have one. I tryed to flash it with official rom and I bricked it. It was my fault. Now I can't recover it. Any suggestions? In every mode it vibrates and nothing happens. Purple screen doesn't work, recovery mode doesn't work, flashing mode doesn't work.

i had bricked mine also. i live in russia but im not russian hardly i could find a tech service coz i cant speak russian. they are going to run jtag on my phone they were asking for rom or something like that. finally i have found a u8800 pro rom on xda. tomorrow i'll se what will happen. and i can share all my experince with it
edit: the guy who was going to run jtag on my phone in moscow now and he'll be back only on 11th of december.. unfortunatelly i'll wait or i'll try to contact with an official service center in other cities. the problem is i can not find any official service center even in other cities

I can access to the pink screen, but i don't have the image folder... can somebody help me?? i have a big problem if i cant fix it.. it reboots every 80 seconds with the unfinished root image file.. if someone can give me the original one for 2.3.5 pleeeeaaaseee send i to [email protected] i really need it, im having a hard time trying to fix it.. help..!

You need different ROMs compared to u8800, as some people discovered (rather painfully). So far, there are 4 ROM options. Stock ROM options include the stock 2.2, the stock 2.3 (no problems as with the 2.3 for the u8800), however they both suck performance wise.
Then there's a MIUI port which I couldn't even get to install on my device and finally comes cyanogenmod which is the best option so far and the one I'd recommend (you will see a tremendous difference in the performance of the UI).

I'm currently using OzcanRom and it's just great - strongly recommended!
My only issue is exactly the same issue as described in this post:
I'm facing a very strange problem as i'm unable to switch on my bluetooth... last week only i rooted my phone and installed CWM recovery...then i installed Custom Rom's like Hassan ROM, Omega ROM, Cyanogenmod 11 Rom, Pacman ROM etc etc just to check various Rom's and their features out.....At first i installed only one ROM at a time and den also dual booted two ROM's by romswitcher...While i was checking my phone once i discovered that my phone's Bluetooth is not turning ON...The toggle is only becoming light green and also from the settings its only showing turning Bluetooth On but it's unable to turn bluetooth On.....Now i googled my problem and read across various forums for solution...I tried various things also flashed my firmware to stock samsung but still bluetooth does not turn On...also i flashed with stock samsung firmware of feb and march 2014 and updated my phone over OTA but still the problem persists....i even installed latest perseus kernel while rooted but still could not turn my bluetooth ON.
I would be very grateful if someone can help me solve my problem and help me Switch ON my bluetooth as it is very needed aspect for my daily use.
My Version of S4 is i9500 with android kitkat 4.4.2. Also all my other features are working normally on custom ROM's too.

I too installed this Omega rom at some point and once I did that these problems started.
A user in that thread posted a reply in which he uploaded a file which he claims fixed his problem.
I really need my bluetooth to work again and would love to flash this file using Odin if it would fix the problem
BUT
I have no clue what implications flashing this file can have, can it mess other things up? I've spent the last four hours setting things up again in my new ROM and I would hate to have to do it again or even worse, cause some unsolvable problem with my phone.
I assume some of the developers here could help me out - should I run it?

Help with Note 4G, dual-sim, Quad 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410, 2GB ram, 16GB emmc, Gucci

I'm in Hong Kong right now and I picked up a Redmi Note (HW specs as per the subject line of this thread). I can't seem to find many resources on this specific model, Gucci. It came with MIUI 6, Kitkat 4.4.4, the kernel Build ID is KTU84P if that helps.
I initially flashed TWRP to it and essentially screwed up the recovery because the current Redmi Note TWRP builds don't work on this device. After a few hours of pulling my hair I finally found a CWM build that functions, although it's in Chinese... at least it works. So I've been able to root the device. I was wondering if there is any hope to getting an English TWRP on this device, and also flashing Cyanogenmod 12 on to it -- or if the builds floating around will be incompatible... I don't want to end up with a brick.
I'm a pen-tester...I'd eventually love to put Kali Linux Nethunter on the device too, but I gather you need to build a kernel for that and I'm a noob as far as building kernels go.

Only if there will be some phone with similar hardware and port ROM from it. I do not know if the kernel sources were released....they said so but did not seem to find it...

I think you have Philz recovery in English for Gucci now. It works for CT version.

I'm also having trouble install CWM or any third party recovery to dual-sim on latest official stock rom.
It shows this when trying to use fastboot:

And when doing flash recovery it just doesn't have any effect on reboot. it will keep rebooting to the same stock. Did OP have the same issue?

I don't like MIUI rom, either developer or not. tried CM11, the LED doesn't work, tried CM12, either mobile data or SIM & usually both of them don't work. I didn't like Flyme OS or FIUI either, so back to CM11 without LED functioning. Seems like, every good ROM is for 'DIOR'. What's the problem with 'GUCCI'? I can't use a DIOR ROM for my GUCCI, so if there's a good, stable & working ROM for GUCCI, other than MIUI, then kindly let me know. My extensive search over google for the last 3 months have been completely unsuccessful. Plz, help me with the ROM solution. Thanx to all beforehand. :'(

Hi, try CM12 from there.

Yes, no need to say, I tried that too. But just as usual with Gucci CM 12.1, it does have the mobile data bug. It can connect successfully to Network, but the mobile data option is always greyed out & u can see that in the signal bar too...an exclamation mark. When u connect to Wi-Fi, that mark goes away & since I can't get wi-fi for 24x7, so mobile data is a must for me. That's why this ROM is of no use to me. I appreciate ur help though. Thanx...

hi, i need a little help with my phone, i'm trying to upgrade with a custom rom and all its work but only no detect the simcard, and i cant do it work, my phone is a lenovo A806, a great phone (screen 5", mtk 6592, 2gb ram, 16gb rom, 13 and 5mpx cameras) pls help me, i try alots of customs roms and no 1 work it,, i got android kitkat and want to upgrade to lollipop or another. pls heeelp meeeee

Flash the rom once again even i have faced the similar issue once .
But before installing it again plz do the clean boot....

Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duo SM-G355M Does not work Android 5 onwards !!

Hello everyone! I would like some help if someone can do the "CHARITY" I'm currently out of work and I only have this cell phone "Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duo SM-G355M" and I just can't make any CUSTOM ROM work with at least Android version 5.0.1 all I've tried have the same problem "I CAN UPDATE" using TWRP but after the BOOT is stopped at the boot screen (Custom ROM logo) infinitely I've tried more than 20 different roms and none works only one of PACMAN I managed to boot this one no the SIM CHIP works so it makes the cell phone useless! Only the STOCK ROMs have worked but these are heavy because they come with the DAMN APPS and this cuar is very weak there is not much space and little memory either! It's almost impossible to use APK on it..
My question is if this type of cell phone (garbage, by the way) is blocked by the manufacturer so as not to UPGRADE?? Only ROM works with KitKart 4.4.2 ???

You can try ROM from Ihsan from Sandroid Team. He has a lot of custom ROMs for Galaxy Core 2 from 4.4 KitKat to 8.1.0 Oreo.
