Hello All,
I had a TPT with rooted ThinkPadTablet_A400_03_007_132_WE.
Yesterday I installed CWM from here and made a backup of the ICS using the standard dup format.
Then went on to install CM10.
All worked fine and CM10 seems great.
However, I forgot to do a TitaniumBackup of the apps in ICS.
So I went back to CWM to restore the backup ICS.
Here comes the problem.
At restoration, CWM breaks saying it cannot restore system data.
I then cleared cache/data/dalvik and tried again to restore ICS. No luck.
So I´m stuck with CM10 now. Does anyone have an idea how I could recover my ICS installation.
If not, I want to recover it to backup the app I bought through the Lenovo store, which I can no longer reinstall in CM10. Any ideas how I could achieve that?
Thanks a lot,
Bruno
Hello,
since yesterday i had the problem that my Mac-Adress is every boot a other (yes i really mean the mac-adress)
Yesterday i try to install the N5 4.4 port, i wiped this :
**
format /system
format /data
format /persists
format /firmware
**
After flashing the rom , i had a bootloop
Then i flashed cyanogenmod, and cant connect to my wifi, because the mac-adress was a different, after that i saw that, the mac adress changes every (re)boot
Can someone help me ?
Sorry for my Bad english but i am form germany

Why would you format /persist and /firmware?
Make sure you have a baseband installed now. Install if you don't. You might need to reconstruct your /persist (where your bloody mac is stored) if you don't have a backup
How i can reconstruct my /persitst , because i habe no backup

Hi
I racently flashed CM12 to my i9500. But mic was not working so I flashed a modem ZCUGNC6. After that my imei was gone and Baseband was unknown. What should I do?? I have backed up my EFS 1 week ago via TWRP but when I restore it nothing happens?
Thx.

Did you flah modem by recovery or odin, cause odin work better, dont know why. If the first time wont work, try again.
If im not wrong, using recovery you have to wipe cache and dalvik cache after installing the modem.
just copy the efs folder using rootexplorer from backup to /efs
I was on CM12 nightly, and it was working fine. I decided to flash the latest update, but before I did I performed a nandroid backup. Right after rebooting after flashing, I kept getting errors about Timely has stopped working, or Google Play Services has stopped working. In short, the phone was unusable.
So I restored my nandroid backup, and the first thing I got was that Nova Launcher has stopped working. I couldn't get it to launch into my home screen. I went with Trebuchet, and opened WhatsApp, and it says that the messages have been corrupted.
What is happening?
It's urgent because I'm flying off soon.
Did u change the kernel of your phone? Did u wipe dalvik cache and cache after installation?

I think it's related to this: when restoring the nandroid backup, it never gets to completion. Instead, somewhere around 2/3 through, it shuts off and reboots into recovery. So the restore isn't complete.
I'm thinking of switching my custom recovery to TWRP. I'm currently on CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.7 Compiled by Xiaolu. Do I just download the new recovery in .zip and flash it as per normal?
It might just show it's 2/3 but in fact finish it anyways however I am not sure about this ;/ try to wipe everything (dalvik, cache, data) and then restore your backup. If that doesn't help do the wipes again and this time wipe system partition as well.

I think the backup is faulty. I tried using PhilZ recovery to restore, and the /data and /system restores were incomplete (I know because it says Done: 600/700MB). Now it's unbootable. I'm gonna try using Chenglu to restore, then get it partially working, then use TiBa to backup all my apps before clean-flashing the latest ROM.
Let me know what the outcome is

Ended up reflashing Chenglu's recovery to restore the nandroid backup, went in to backup everything with Titanium Backup, then flashed the latest ROM (wiped everything) and set up everything from scratch
Have moved on to Philz recovery now.

i have twrp 2870, backed up google rom, then installed another rom, didnt like the rom so did a restore of the google
rom, says restore fine reboot, it just hangs on the google rom animation.. on my 19505g
Try wiping and unmounting cache and ROMs may take longer to boot
