Hi. I've got a UK G900F. I was running the OMEGA ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714159) and tried to restore back to stock firmware by flashing what I thought was the correct md5 file from Sam Mobile. However, I ran into a few problems (possibly tried flashing the wrong stock ROM) and am now in the "firmware upgrade encountered an error" screen. I made a lot of very stupid decisions, tried flashing various different ROMs from Sam Mobile and have even selected "repartition" on ODIN a few times for good measure.
Can anyone please give me any advice on what I can do to sort this out? I thought I could do it myself, but am just making things worse!
FIXED!
I think I fixed it! For what it's worth, I flashed KLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit and G900FXXU1ANC9_G900FVIR1ANC6_VIR in ODIN with "repartition" checked and it looks like it's worked. just going to try a few things to confirm, but here's hoping!
You should buy a lottery ticket with that luck. It's not a good idea to flash random files.
Glad to hear if your phone is working again.

I was getting bored with my standard s4 rom, so in my rush to move forward I flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544474 (►►[AOSP] Official 4.4.2 - S4 Google Edition - v10 - Feel the Experience of Nexus◄◄) thinking I was on a i9505 and not bothering to check and also not bothering to make a backup.
anyway it works but I was getting random reboots (known on this rom) and mad battery drain (what previously was 50% at the end of the day now is flat).
So i decided to go back to stock. It was then that I realised that when I do a system check, my phone actually is a i9505g.
I downloaded a couple of i9505g images from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569510 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544056 however when I try and flash, ODIN come up with a fail. I have tried changing to stock recovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2442882 but still no luck.
Interestingly when I try flashing the modems from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2452034 these won't flash either.
I'm a bit flummoxed as I can flash other modems to it via odin.
I haven't uninstalled drivers and odin or tried other ports as when i flash modems they do work (they don't all actually work but i can change them) and i can change custom recovery too.
Any suggestions???

I'm going to start by saying you're damn lucky you haven't totally bricked your phone.
You really need to slow down and understand what you're doing.
It sounds like you do have an i9505, otherwise the GE ROM you flashed would of giving you an error 7.
Anyway because you have flashed a Google Edition ROM onto your i9505 it has changed the build prop so now your device says it's an i9505G.
You should be fine to flash any stock firmware for an i9505 to restore your phone.
In future read instructions very carefully and make sure you actually know what you're doing before attempting to flash your phone.
Hope you can get it back up and running as an i9505

I thought I did, I've been flashing phones, for years now, to a lesser degree, and though I've got in deep water, I 've never drowned.
I presumed that regardless of what you flashed onto the phone, system info it would report back what it actually was - so when I checked and saw that it was listed a i9505g I didn't know you could change what it was reported back. Live and learn.
I will have a go with a i9505 ROM and see what happens...
Hi to all
I hope one or more of the very knowledgeable people out there can help me. Have a qualcomm SM-N9005 32gb European SIM model which was in a constant boot loop. Ocassionally, it would get to the the set-up screen but always go back into its loop boot once a few key presses had been made. It was on one of the 4.3 roms at the time - don't know which one.
So I put in it into download mode, flashed the stock 4.4.2 N9005XXUENB7_N9005OXAENB1_BTU rom via odin and this has solved (most of) the boot loop issues.
However, the phone is now showing as having:-
no IMEI
no baseband
no sim (despite there being a working sim in there).
If I go back into download mode, it seems an additional line has been added to the several that show at the top after flashing the stock Kitkat rom - this is "UDC START".
I don't have an EFS backup so can't restore that to get the IMEI/baseband back.
I am at a loss. I have tried a hard/factory reset - no joy. I know this kind of problem has been reported in the past and I have looked at many threads but no-one seems to have exactly the same problem and not many successful outcomes.
Can someone please give me a 'dummies walk through' of what to do - my phone expertise isn't the best, as you can see!
Many many thanks to anyone and everyone who can help.
Cheers :good:

I was trying to root my at&t s6 edge+ using Odin. As soon as the process completed, my phone froze on Samsung screen. Then I tried wiping cache and data but nothing worked. I downloaded few stock ROM for Odin but flashing keeps on failing. I read in some thread that new Samsung devices do not support downgrading. I went and checked my current build number and found that to be G928AUCS4CPK1. However, the firmware I was trying to flash were older version.
Has anyone experienced similar issue before? The main problem here is I cannot find the exact build number anywhere. I spent a lot of time searching and finally decided to post here.
Your valuable suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
hey man, you flashed an older version of the firmware? even if it wasnt bricked, your phone is essentially useless now. the efs is gone, meaning you cant make phonecalls or connect to wifi at all. sorry; your phone is bricked. perm.
download mode dosen`t work ?if so the only thing you can try is to use samsung kies to restore your phone but don`t know if that works
I done something similar to my standard S6 Edge the only difference was i was able to start it up ok and i thought everything was ok until i realised i had no reception. I so happened to notice my imei number was gone. I had no back ups of the partition that saved this info so i totally bricked my phone.
I did however find a website that would be able to do a work around ( for a fee of course) for it however it does question your morals as its essentially illegal in alot of countries. I dont want to post anything on here so if you want any info send me a PM.
Exact same thing happened to me... went to AT&T repair center but they didn't have the 'K1' firmware..
anyhow managed to find the latest firmware (gsm-firmware.com)... cost me $4, but the phone is up and running... I only flashed the AP file.. also used Odin 3.12.5..
Hello there,
I've spent my entire day trying to fix my Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F), without much success.
So what happened was that the phone would occasionally freeze, turn it's self off and reboot into download mode and say that it wasn't able to boot normally. But it usually just booted after pulling the battery.
So I thought I would just try to install the stock firmware(4.4) and go from there. And that worked fine (eventually) but the problem remained.
Why not try again, I foolishly thought. So I tried to download a more recent firmware(6.0), but it wouldn't install completely. It got stuck in Odin around half, saying: "FAIL!(WRITE)". Tried again using the older firmware(4.4), but the same result.
Now whenever I try to turn on the phone it immediately jumps to download mode saying that something went wrong while installing the firmware.
I have done a couple of things to try and resolve this issue:
- I have tried to flash BL,CP,AP and Pit from a recovery firmware without much luck.
- I have tried using Odin 3.09 and 3.11.1
There was one thing that kinda helped once, which was flashing twrp and all of a sudden it worked and actually turned on. But genius me decided that I had to try again and update to the newest version. Which wasn't really smart because again the flashing of the firmware failed.
If anyone could please help me out. I have spent nearly two days trying to fix this darn thing. I really just want it fixed

I hadn't, I google searched multiple times for such a topic, but didn't find any.
Besides using the SD card to flash the firmware I had already tried what was listed there.
But for the sake of it, I tried again. For some reason, this time it did work!
Many thanks for the tip!
I'm just left with one question, the recovery firmware you provided in the topic is german, but I have a Dutch phone. Will that create any issue's with network connectivity?

First, flash that recovery firmware, once your device starts working normal, flash your region specific stock rom from sammobile.

Thank you so much for your help. I tried to see if the initial problem was resolved, but it still isn't. The phone sometimes doesn't boot and goes straight into download mode. I'm starting to think that it's a hardware issue, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Must be hardware.
Anyway, i would do this
- flash twrp for Note 4 (look for it) from odin
- fladh rom from twrp (not from odin)

Some time ago, about 5 months ago, someone that i live with tried to root my phone, i don't know if they succedeed or not, but i remember that right after that i could no longer play Pokemon Go, but i just disregarded that and stoped playing didn;t minding it much, but now i had some free time and was curious as of why it isn;t working, so i google around and found out that it doesn;t work on roted phones, so i did a root check and a safenet check and it seems i do not have my phone rooted, but the safety check failed. Before googleing to see what it has i tried flashing a firmware from sammobile but it failed with some "(write)" error and on the phone it said something about "aboot". I am sorry for being so vague but i don't know at the moment what it exactly said, but if anyone responds i will try it again and upload screenshots or something showing exactly what it says.
Thanks for your time and i really hope you could find the time to help me.
Perhaps your download of the stock rom got corrupted. Try downloading again from another source, such as samsung-updates.com. But to rule out a memory problem, such as the infamous "eMMC" error that indicates your memory as being pretty much on its way out, try the bootloader and modem combination in the BL_CP link in my signature that corresponds to your variant, to see if you get the same error. The aboot partition is the bootloader, and my .tar files are smaller than the full stock rom image
Thanks for the reply, i teally apreciate the help. But my problem was that i was flashing the wrong firmware, i thoutght my phone was sm-n910f because that's what the settings said and that's what was underneath the battery, but while in download mode it said sm-n910p and when checking the imei on imei.info, it was sm-n910c. I tried all of them and the one for sm-n910p worked.
Now unfortunatelly i got to another problem, after flashing the firmware everything was perfectly fine, but i upfated from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 and now i have no service and the network operators option in mobile networks is grayed out. Any ideas?
Thanks again for all the help.

You could manually flash the latest N910P modem file via Odin. Search for the .tar files.
or reflash the Stock rom again via odin
