Hello everyone
I did a xda theme because the xda-developers forum is awesome. No matter which kind of problem someone has, a member is gonna answer it and help him/her. Also all the developers, they give us so much. They spend a lot of time just to publish something for us.. that's awesome and not of course.
At this point I would like to say thanks to all xda users and the creators of xda-developers. :good:
And now, here I'm presenting you finally the theme. I finished two versions yet:
Version 1: It's just the "normal" theme
Version 2: It's the version 1 + I added the highlight of the navbar

- Go to settings -> safety -> activate "unknown origin"
- Download theme and install as normal apk

Didn't had the time to do it. I will do it in the next week.
Hmm bad news, it seems like I won't have much time the next few months, so I won't make the Icons for the theme and just keep supporting version 1 and 2(wishes, fixes..)

i used smali file from some dev to show some infomation like this but when i want to change color of these text, i have to modify systemui, that's not inconvenience. and it look not nice, i wish these text can be match with system theme color.

Which device are you using?

Hello everbody,
As some of you know from my iNexus Port thread I have created a kitchen for theming roms like Oxygen/GingerVillain//Redux/etc.

UPDATE 25.05.2011: I just noticed there was an error with the build script; it is fixed now.
UPDATE 20.04.2011:
The changes I've been working on in the last week are now live.
Changes:
- more fonts, with preview
- more themes
- a queue status that will show current status (cooking a theme usually takes 1-2 minutes if only framework has to be compiled, 5-10 minute for framework+apps)
- a debug log is saved, to help me find(squash) bugs
- I've changed some of the logic behind framework icons: if you choose an icon set (first tab) you get all icons from that set (you no longer have to also choose menu icons for example); I plan to further differentiate the icons (lockscreen, tabs, spinner etc) so in the end will be able to choose a base theme and over it apply whatever you like from any other theme.

Switch out Clockopia.ttf with whatever font you want You can change fonts using FontChanger, TypeFresh or ADB. (Two first mentioned available through Market).

jus used the ubuntu font from the kitchen, or if u dont have the seperate ubuntu font folder , tell me will share it for you!!

managed to get one theme done in the kitchen but now it won't let me cook another one...It just sits on the cooking rom bar and goes no further!!! Am I doing something wrong?

It's not you, it's me : the script that actually cooks the theme got stuck deleting a file owned by another user; fixed it manually, hope it doesn't happen again; if it does happen again will install a monitor to notice me when a theme stays in queue too much.
There are now 19 themes in queue, the server will be busy for the next hour

Hello Alsajosora,
There are a lot of things I'd like to add to the kitchen (among them boot animations) but I decided to freeze the features and improve the overall experience (the big problem right now is (in my opinion) with the previews, I'd like to give the user an idea of what he/she is about to flash in recovery).
So the answer is: in the short term no, in a few months maybe, in the long term for sure.

there is a patch by zdunex25 to enable transparency in ROM status bar but to apply that patch... ROM needs to be deodexed..

It should work i am right now using this in my phone.resurrection in also based on indian stock so it definitely work.

Reading the changelog on rom thread it says it is but I'm not sure, could it be the added power menu options you added? Don't think so.... willing to keep trying, it really looks great!!

downloaded zip again just in case, giving it another shot right now, let's see how it goes... I'll report back in a few minutes, thanks.
EDIT: nope I guess rom is not fully deodoxed, I see in changelog first version is but it doesn´t say anything on changelog of latest version... I'll stay tune to see how to make it work on this rom.

I have only started modding status bar but cant get any color combinations in mind... what should be the colour below?The 15 toggles look good!

Tab pngs in framework-res and twframework-res .. you should be aware on how to edit .9.pngs.
If I am not mistaken you need to:
1. Decompile your app.
2. Edit your .9.png with gimp or photoshop.
3. Use the .9.png editor that came with android sdk to verify your changes.
4. Recompile your app.
5. Test and repeat if necessary.

Tried that bro.. used apk manager to compile the apk and it was not giving any errors... seems like I gotta see the files in other roms

The fcs are coming from wrongly made .9 pngs.Like i said before,dont touch the dark lines and dots which determine the content and stretchable area.Cut of the part which you want to modify,make modifications and merge it with the surrounding lines again.Like bumslayer said,you can use draw9patch tool from sdk.But that's an extremely time consuming process.It'll let you convert any png to .9 patch png but only one at a time.
Here's what I use: xUltimate-D9PC
This one "compiles" the .9.png files. All you have to do now is drag them to the res/drawable-ldpi folder of the apk without even decompiling the app with apktool. Easy, no?

Try unpacking systemui.apk and then using a kitchen to customize and finally compiling and signing it with your preffered choice of signer

EDIT: lol.found the question.Black or dark grey is the best option to make it understated.

Thanks!! My status bar is in initial stages and would look very different from that.
Guys I am pissed off now!! I use activity_title_bar from USSR and it works but when I make my own it FC's!! I have applied 9 patch and tried all sorts of stuff!! I have no option other than to copy png from his rom... is it an offence here?? Cuz these days people are getting sued for copying.
