Hi,
My name is Lars, and i have a problem with a friend's LG G2.
He dropped his phone couple weeks ago, I installed a new screen for him since I did it for free it was cheaper for him.
I frequently repair phones so everything worked fine. One week later, I flashed CloudyG3 1.2 ROM on his phone, which I was using too.
Yet again everything works fine, the day after he turned on smart charging and the phone was charging extremely fast! We went away and when we came back the phone was quite hot and it wont boot anymore, I installed a brand new battery to be sure it isn't the battery but the phone still doesn't work, if we connect to the power it gets a little hot but it wont boot or do anything at all.
Any one of you guys have an idea what could be wrong?
Greetings
Anyone?

Ok so i thought i was doing a quick page pool update. when i went to reboot my phone didnt reboot. it wont even charge now or turn on. has anyone else experience this.
Wrong forum. The Wing is a Herald, not a Hermes. In general, I'd see if I could borrow a known good battery just to rule out a dead battery.
wing troubles
yea, my wing suddenly burned out too about 4 days ago, a phone came thru, i ignored it and then the screen went black. i couldnt get it to cut back on even if it was connected to a charger. customer service had no answers for me they jus sent me a replacement base phone that i got today
Hey everyone, I have been trying to diagnose my HD2 alone for quite some time now, and thought maybe someone on XDA can help. So when i first got the phone, it ran just fine, about a month in i decided it was time to load it with a cooked rom. I used Energy rom because i loved the look. Before i had huge problems flashing it in the first place, after i got the flash to stay stable, the phone ran just fine. A while back (2010) i dropped the phone and cracked my glass. After replacing that, i had problems with the boot all over again.
When my phone boots it will boot 50% of the time, it will either freeze on the boot image (no red text) or just start up like normal. after 12-24 hours of general use, the phone will just freeze up and i will need to pop the battery out. Once i put it in, it will not boot unless i let it sit for a while. the longer i let it sit, the longer the phone stays working before it freezes. it seems that the longer it sits past a day doesnt matter, but it does increase the odds of booting in the first place. only a few times has it posted the rom number and not booted.
Im wondering if this could be a mainboard problem, or something im overlooking. I also had android problems back when 2.1 was ran from the exe. i also ran many other roms, and just recently the Nand 2.2 droid.
My biggest problem is ive spent over $100 USD trying to fix the glass/lcd.
Any imput would be greatly appreciated. so what do you think?

Mate, I think it's rather hardware related problem. You better go back to the repair center before your warranty expires

Hi HDmadman. I am also new to the Gnote, bought mine 2 weeks ago. It seems to be a German version, as the original ROM came with some German applications.
After 3 days of use, my GNote started going crazy with sort of similar behavior as yours (charging without charging) and others that were even worst, like turning on by itself, opening applications by itself, etc.
It was on KKA rom and decided to go to stock KL7 to try to fix the problem, after the factory reset did not worked (as with you). After this ROM update, which I made almost 1 week ago, the phone is behaving well, with no "ghosts". (however I am still scared about what I saw on it that time and am still checking it very closely every time trying to find some strange behaviour like those).
What ROM version are u using ? Possibly a ROM update can help you as it seems to worked for me.
Cheers

Charging without plugged also happened to me.. i was partying outside(new year) and there was a lot of fog an humidity. it was constantly vibrating (mute) saying it was charging/off charging loop, and when i touched the screen it would start vibrating non stop. scared the hell out of me!! that night taking the battery of for a couple minutes fixed it. The next day plugging in the usb cable on the pc it would charge but windows wasn't detecting the mobile (no usb sound when connecting original samsung cable). i cleaned the connectors of the phone with a dry toothbrush and imediattly got fixed. Has never happened to me again. But got me pretty scared though.. hoping it won't happen again!
So there I was, browsing the Slick Deals app, when the phone locked up, turned off, and now it won't do crap. Decent charge on the battery at the time, ~90%. Stock ROM and rooted for over a year with no issues to speak of. I got the phone on day 1 (Sept 2013?) I'd taken care of this phone better than any previous to it. Always in a protective case, always with a screen protector. Never dropped, never left in a car or in the sun. My plan was to go 3 years with this one I liked it so much. Well so much for that idea.
If I hold down the power button long enough I can get it to boot some of the time. Recovery mode and download mode are not options, just won't do it. It did the whole 15 drives thing when plugged into USB once, but there is no consistency to it. I read several threads on how to unbrick the phone, but the whole Linux install and img files are little over my head to try.
I went ahead and ordered a new battery for it, just in case that's what's causing the issue. I was told if a cell in the battery flips out it can cause the phone not to work properly. At one point I had the phone charging while off and could see the charging screen. It got to 95% and never any higher. Managed to boot the phone for 30 seconds then it shut off again. I quit messing with it after that.
Could it be just a battery gone rouge all of a sudden, or do I have bigger problems? I hate to abandon this phone, but I don't want to spend any more money on it to fix it either. I bought a used Nexus 5 off a friend for a song to get back up and running with my SIM card, so I have time now to work on the G2. If I can resurrect it, the Nexus will serve as a nice backup phone in case of future disasters.
Hi all,
Here's my problem : I recently changed the battery of my nexus, everything worked well, then 48h later my phone starts to shut down without any reason, when I tried to turn it on nothing happened.
Untill plugged it in, then I could get him on, unplugged the phone (the battery was at 60%) launched an app, shut down again, without getting on until I plugged it.
So I flashed factory images (latest from decembre), Everything worked fine for 48h again, until earlier today, the exact same problem happened.
Can u plz help figure it out ? thx
@oussamalabbize It's your new battery same thing happened to me send it back. My seller immediately sent me a replacement hopefully yours will do the same. I bought one of the cheap ones from eBay so I half expected that. Just wish I tested it out for a long while before I put the back on! The replacement one has been working solid now for few months just no temp sensor but can live with that.
