Custom Kernel lets your device Android operating system to act together with device hardware. Now XDA developer member “gokhanmoral” has developed an app called “ExTweaks”, it allows your Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 to view and alter some kernel functions to your own taste.
The app looks to have vast potential and offer many modifications like the option to modify aspects such as GPU frequency. However the app is still in beta stage and developer has promised to add more features and functionality soon.
To install this app, you’ll have to get a supported kernel, developer will provide the documentation to get support from kernel devs, so lets you more kernel control than you’ve used.
Since Apache Licensing offers developers the option to make their own apps based on ExTweaks, essentially any developer can join an and tweak their kernel. The app is free and available at Google Play Store here, you can also visit the original thread of XDA here.

Tnx developers
These geniuses are working on it. LINK
PS: You made me puke a little though
as said prior to my post, it's being worked on, though there will inevitably be some problems.
Dont forget that with the Apple community the need to unlock is much greater than here (no unlock required to access the system etc) and so you will most likely find a lack of interest by developers to add applications into this software as the Windows Mobile operating system hasn't really changed much in the sense that it has always allowed for custom apps and tweaking etc, much like Windows.
Other than that, i hope it really does do well because i think it could be a great addition if enough developers get on to it and use it :L)
In kaiser forum someone relased a ROM called T.I.R., this ROM has embedded a Pocket Download Manager that does exactly this!
Maybe someone could ask there.

Mozilla Firefox developer introduce "Boot2Gecko" New Mobile OS

Hands on using Galaxy S II!
Mozilla Foundation at the MWC 2012 showed its New Platform that called "Boot2Gecko", a cloud based open-source Mobile OS, Which is coded entirely with HTML5, CSS and Javascript.
Boot2Gecko is using the latest open web standards for its apps, which means that apps written for it will be compatible with just about any smartphone running the OS, or even every device with an HTML5-enabled browser. And do not worry even though the OS itself is cloud-based, you might still use your phone offline and even run apps and games on it offline caching is a technology already supported by the web standards.
The Mozilla team had the platform installed on a Samsung Galaxy S II and were doing all the demoes on the Samsung former flagship, but the company is actually looking to release a completely different device. Its aim is to produce an ultra-cheap smartphone, powered by a 600 MHz CPU and packing just 256MB of RAM.

Can't post the link for some reason but there's a thread in original dev section where you can load it to gs2
Its also a good place to gather info about progress

[APP]Framework Tool ★ root [3.0+]

This app will make Theming your phone as easy as tapping on a button. The concept is easy:
You tap the MOD you want, and Framework Tool will apply it for you. Currently there are about 40+ functions, such as animations, dialogs, backgrounds and other aspects of your phones or tablets system, more will be added in the next hours, days, weeks, months. Now it is your turn! Take control of your phone and make it fit to your mood and style, use hot features as the possibility to use your own backgrounds (in the Settings application as an example) for the system (3.0+), with just a few taps, and no computer required! This application needs ROOT ACCESS and R/W on /system ! This App can now run on versions below 4.0, BUT all modifications are designed for Android 4.0, so they may not work as intended on versions below that!
Warning: Framework Tool does change framework files which may not be compatible on some ROMs or devices. Always make a backup before installing and use at your own risk. The developer is not responsable for any damages!

MoDaCo Switch let’s your HTC One jump between Google Android and Sense

Down in Norfolk UK Paul O’Brien is enjoying this beautiful weather we are having. But not content with just sitting back Paul through his MoDaCo site has been busy releasing a video of MoDaCo.Switch. The video shows how he is working on users being able to swap/jump between Google Android edition (AOSP) and HTC Sense.
While we applaud Paul for his ingenuity the switching between ROM’s will use your battery as you will have to choose the ROM you want and reboot. However the good part of this is both ROM’s will be sharing the same data. So all your data, apps etc will be available (and the same) on both Google and Sense.

The video includes how the ROM will be based on the 2.24 European HTC One (Android 4.2.2) and the Google Play edition ROMs. Perhaps key here, it was said that MoDaCo.SWITCH is “coming soon.” That aside, the video does mention how this build is currently being testing in an effort to squash any remaining issues and bugs. Checkout Paul’s video over at MoDaCo site

[Library] GrilledUI

GrilledUI is a library to implement common UIs easily. Available UI types are: tabbed UI (TabActivity), master/metail flow (SectionActivity) and their hybrid (HybridActivity). These activity classes wrap everything you need to create your UI with just a few lines of code or even load tabs/sections and instaniate fragments from XML file. HybridActivity allows you to have tabs on phones and MDF on tablets. This way you can easily make your app tablet and phone friendly without torturing phone users with multiple activities.
Library comes with JavaDocs, multiple examples, in open source form, 2-clause BSD license and pre-ICS support (!). Pre-ICS devices are supported with the help of ActionBarSherlock.
GrilledUI lives on GitHub.
