This is a little weird. So I charged up my phone till the 100% mark. I updated 7 apps afterwards. Help guys, why is 'Screen' not showing up in the battery usage [emoji53] (Screenshot)

I've had weird battery stat experiences before - usually the opposite, where screen takes up everything and Android OS/system are nowhere to be found. Have you tried rebooting or charging back up to >90%?

I tried rebooting. But I'll try recharging now, maybe that helps
I don't know how, but I guess it fixed itself by itself. All is good now, thanks

Can you provide some more information? Like what kernel are you using? Rom? Apps? What is your screen time and such.
One thing I see is life 360 is on your stats. That could be one of reason or the main reason it's eating up your battery's power. And looks like Google services could be a culprit. Again, provide more information so we can help you.

I was getting up to 16 hours of battery life and now I barely get 7?! Can anyone help me out? I didn't even use it as much as I usually do.. What is the Android OS doing that uses so much battery?
You probably have a rogue app. Factory reset would help if you can't remember any recent apps you downloaded before this happened

Factory reset is overreacting a bit. Simply get a battery monitor app like gsam to pinpoint which app has gone rogue.
Also check wakelocks with wakelock detector app.

I said factory reset if the op couldn't remember any apps he downloaded before the battery did this

So my s5 is at 75% with just 40 minutes of screen on time, so by this math it'll be about 2.5 hours screen time when it dies on it's twelfth hour. It seems to me like the battery should be better. Is this similar to what others are getting. Usually android proces/system aren't at the top but they are here.

lol mine is at 3hrs at 50% so my math says that i will prob get 7hrs screen on time...
my recommendation would be that you check on what apps you are installing and see the phone settings screen brightness, etc

I don't have hardly anything installed, besides if it was some app I'm pretty sure it would show up on the battery stats, that's why I'm confused.
Hello everyone, so I had some problems with my Xt1032 and took it back to Argos...they offered to replace and I asked if I could change it for the 4G model since its the same price. They accepted. But the thing is my battery is better on my XT1039 than my 1032 was...which is odd.
I haven't even conditioned the battery yet and I'm getting 5-6 hours screen time with battery life lasting between a day and a day and a half.
My most recent battery life is shown below

So I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but it would be interesting to see..
Also I am using the XDA app which I find horrible. Sorry if this is posted in the incorrect place.
There is a thread dedicated to that already...

I've posted on that I mean has anyone had any replacement devices and noticed a large difference.
Oh and the search feature on the mobile app is terrible. Gonna install Tapatalk later...
Hi XDA users,
I've got this.. kind for like a problem I guess? I'm on 4.4.2 TW Custom Rom (Goldeneye 49.2?).
I never use 3G/LTE/Data, only wifi. The phone isn't even used all day long (~4 hours screen on time). And brightness is not high but low, because I want to save battery.

check your wakelocks
and if you are gonna post them, could you make them a LOT smaller
There is nothing wrong with your phone. 4 hours screen on time is the maximum you will get out of your phone. It's perfectly normal.
Allright thanks. This disappoints me just a little, but I guess it'll do.
Btw nothing unusual with my wakelocks.
Any place I can get bigger battery's? But not those bulky ones that require another back cover..
