LG G3 F400K laf.img needed - G3 General

I need to be able to get my phone into download mode (which at this time doesnt). After hours of going through thread after thread I found one that uses fastboot but I need the corrent laf file. Seems like going into download mode is the only way to use flashtool to restore back to factory state. Phone recognized as ADB interface on device manager but not COM 41 like it should for flashtool. Thanks.

i also lost mine
any luck ? i also lost mine now stuck in fasboot cant get to install the stock frimware my version is d855 V10i

Just extract out of kdz file

[Q] Stuck on Fastboot (Unable to go to download mode)

I have an LG G2 AT&T D800.
After I rooted my phone successfully, I also flash a custom recovery successfully.
After I did that, I wipe out my data / cache.
And i tried to install a ROM and Google Apps.
I rebooted my phone and I'm stuck with " Fast boot mode started "
I had download mode working but i accidentally made it stop working after i did CMS88168 steps from this page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
Now I don't have my download mode starting to work and I have no clue on how to fix my phone.
Please help.

It's for the F320 variants but there is also a link to search for other variant files.
Also just in case you are unable to do what phoost suggested, what i did was keep tr ying to get into recovery, the lg logo would blink fast, but you just have to keep tr ying, and i finally got it and reflashed my rom and its been fine ever since...i did get scared tho, but my g2 is only 4 days old right now, so i can always return and get another, but just do what i said

i got the same problem here when flashing the slimkat.
fastboot is like adb sideload.
when you see the usb command, you need to plug the phone to the PC to sync them.
This happened to me a while back the link in post two is how I solved it. You just need to find the laf.img for your model, put it in the same folder as adb and run the adb commands in the tutorial. You might have to change the directory in cmd prompt to where adb is located. Once the laf is successfully flashed you can boot into download mode and flash the kdz for your model.

I tried this but it starts download mode but then goes to fastboot. I was trying to keep download mode. I used the laf.img in the the link you posted. I'm on verizon lg g2 is that the right laf.img?
***Got it thanks***
In the link above that is for the Korean g2 I believe. If I remember correctly there's a link to other img files in his thread. You might also consider flashing the proper boot.img as well. It was a while ago that this happened so I don't recall exactly but if you flash the Verizon boot.img and laf.img you should be good.

Then I would like a link to kdz files (I will extrat img from that) 100% D802 10b 32gb for sure.
(I think is a EU Open, not sure).
I do not have IMEI for check the correct version then download kdz from LG.
(Any way to find the IMEI with mini-skd? It is only communication I have!)
Tks.

Please help, bricked lg g2

So I was planning to install the new cloudy g2 3.3 rom on my lg g2. To do this first, i was using a guide that first told me I would have to root with towel root. Which I did, and then I would have to install an auto recovery. My lg g2 is a Canadian d801. However I did not know that the auto recovery I would have to download was the d803 version. After installing the auto recovery my phone is stuck on fastboot mode. I cannot go into recovery or download mode. The screen says
fastboot mode started
udc_start()
when i plug it into my pc, it adds a couple more lines
reset
portcharge
I am stuck. I have found some other information which has told me
1. download autorec for your version
2. extract aboot - boot - laf
3.
fastboot flash aboot aboot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash laf laf.img
I have downloaded the d803 auto rec version, and extracted these 3 files. But my phone does not connect to adb. I am currently using the adb and fastboot minimal version, and when i type adb devices nothing shows up. It is important to note that I had installed adb after my phone became bricked like this. The only fix that I can do is to push these files onto my phone. However it does not connect to adb. I have downloaded and installed lg drivers for the lg g2 multiple times. I have gone to device manager and tried to set my up phone to use those drivers, but it does not let me. I will try to attach screen shots below. Please help me fix me phone. I think that if I can connect it to adb I can push the files onto it, but it wont connect. Any help would be much appreciated as I am very inexperienced in this area.

unknown model in lgup.

Actual model is ls997 but i flashed vs995 kdz with ls997 modem everything worked fine.Just very crappy battery life so i decided to flash a us996 rom. but it was not just a rom but the full us996 kdz twrp flashable without the recovery.I figured this as i was flashing in twrp it showed flashing laf and all other partitions. So now it doesn't even boot to any recovery or boot at all.but i still have unlocked bootloader and can get into download mode.Though lgup keeps saying "unknown model, US996".Im sure i can just flash vs995 kdz again since there is no ls997 kdz but lgup wont let me in lol.is there any way to bypass this unknown model pop up? or can i use flash tool or something.

lg mobile support tool says ls997 but the firmwire is like us996q or something.Lg bridge can't even connect to the device.

thanks for the reply Brian.
i thought i have the patched one, i downloaded it from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-patch-lgup-to-unlock-features-t3652222
but i wont even open because it says "you have to select a known model, please" " when i select unknown model,US996COM41" and if i try without any phone connected, it asks to select a model. So it does detect it just not correctly. Is there a way to patch it to bypass model selection?
I think the lg flash tool i have (1.8.x.x) is out of date for v20 that's why it may be failing download once it reaches "preareafterdload Download".Though the other version 2.0.1.6 or something fails to load at all.correct me if im wrong.
FOUND the fix.Used lg flash tool (1.8.x.x) but instead of using the dll from kdz i used the lg g5 dll provided in this fourm:https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/bring-lg-g5-to-life-download-mode-lgup-t3565508
and is flashed just fine!!

Follow the instructions you mentioned, while I am ready to flash dz file, flash tool will stop at 10% and show download failed info. My device is v20 f800s and use dll file you mentioned, that is why I can't flash dz file? If so, which dll file I should use?

1st Step: select LGUPc.dll extracted from H910PR kdz and selected .kdz file. It failed because model mismatch (H910 vs H910PR (I have Lineage 15.1 for H910 installed)
2nd step: select H850 dll and select extracted H910PR .dz file > It failed right within 1 second
I'll try flashing H910_10r full firmware through TWRP and see if I have any luck with the phone to flash back to H915 again....
Mine cannot booting, always bootloop.
I try to flash via LGUP and UPPERCUT there's unknown model, so i cannot proceed.
I try to LGFlasfhTool 1.8.x.x with several dll, from extract kdz or from the latest LGUP_commond.dll the latest one, i try many dll, but its say download failed after 4% or sometimes it's say to many partitions and then error download failed.
I try to boot in factory reset mode (power + volume down), after doing factory reset (pressing YES twice) only LG logo appeared.
I was try to using fastboot mode, but I cannot run fastboot boot twrp.img its say <waiting devices>
Now my LGV20 (US996) cannot boot up normally, it's only can boot in download mode, factory reset and bootloader mode.
Anyone can help, plz.
Thanks before
If you have the correct version of TWRP, rename it to "twrp.exe". From a powered off phone hold volume DOWN and plug-in USB cable. Issue the following command from a prompt in the same folder that contains TWRP:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Reboot to recovery (Vol down, hold and release power), choose "yes" twice and wait a few seconds for a reboot into TWRP.

not much actual help, but fastboot boot doesn't work on ANY v20 models. you have to actually flash it and THEN boot into it.

HELP! Bricked LG G2 D802: Broken TWRP and unable to enter fastboot mode

Hello to all of you taking your time reading this. I have got into some problems with my LG G2 D802 recently. More precisely: I have bricked it and installed a broken recovery. HELP!
It all started with me wanting to upgrade my LG G2 to android Pie 9.0 with a custom rom. So I found an all in one tool to root and install TWRP on the phone (I probably never should have done that). I quickly realized that inside TWRP only the upper half of the screen was working somewhat close to normal, and the lower part was completely messed up. That made me unable to install the custom rom I had downloaded.

ADB and Fastboot
I tried to get rid of TWRP by using ADB and Fastboot to install the stock recovery back on my device. I wanted to use the command: “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img”. Though, before I even came that far, I had troubles getting my phone into fastboot mode. Whenever I executed the command: “adb reboot bootloader”, the phone just restarted and went back into TWRP. How can I enter fastboot?
This had been tried on multiple systems including Linux, Windows 7 and 10, with different USB drivers all removed completely between testing.

LG FlashTool (v. 1.8.6.527)
Then I went to try install a stock rom on my phone (which I had done once before with LG FlashTool). So I started the tool and put my phone into download mode. It got detected on COM41 and the flashing could start. I used the following files: LGD802_20130912_LGFLASHv160.dll and BIN_LGD802AT-00-V10b-SEA-XX-SEP-04-2013-32G+0.tot.
When LG FlashTool then reports: “CUST”, “Skip BackupGPT Partition.” and then “Waiting for reset 120 sec”, the phone reboots. . . - into TWRP. . . Sighs*. . .
I tried to shut it back down and enter download mode again while LG FlashTool was running. But after a while LG FlashTool just says: “FBOOT Check….“, then “FBOOT FAIL!!” and “Fail to get BOOT Complete Status. 00000064”
So is FBOOT = fastboot? If so, have I then messed something up with my fastboot then?

LG Flash Tool 2014
I also tried flashing with the kdz file called: Europe Open D80230b.kdz. But here my device didn’t even got detected by the tool. So I started searched for something else on the web, found nothing, and here I am.
I honestly don’t know what to do next. I know that one quick solution is to go and get a new phone. But that solution is expensive and what I really want, is to get my LG functioning again.
As I see it, the options for getting the phone back, is to fix either fastboot, TWRP(screen not working), LG Flash Tool 2014(if it not uses fastboot) or use this tool; SRK Tool 2.1. I just don't know how to proceed with any of this.
Any kind of help is highly appreciated. Thank you.
