There seems to be Reading Mode on S5 (G900F, still on ANE4) (launches for example when creating shortcut to Settings activity using Nova launcher). I understand S4 had this but I didn't notice it in settings on S5. (Might be worth creating a mod if it would be working)
When I enable it for an app, I do not notice any difference. Is it working for you or is it just me (too much debloating)?
Too bad no devs have interest in this subject. Reading Mode is not the only good feature which disappeared when moving from s4 to s5. There is also Quick Glance. The corresponding Air Wakeup on the S5 is a batery hog.

Hello and huppy new year!
I have my first problem with my galaxy s 4. The zoom in and zoom out effects when you open an app or close it, and the smooth effect when you rotate the device doesnt working. I was searching for the trantition effects selection in the settings menu (like galaxy s2) but the s4 doesnt has it. what can i do now? please help me
Is there an app for reducing screen size for one-handed operations like samsung published fore the note 3?
Would appreciate it for my S4 as well.
I know there was an app like that back in the days but forgot the name.
Options I found so far (which do not work on our device or are limited):
Xposed Module for One-Handed Mode > not the whole screen will be resized an certain apps don't seem to work
[PORT] OneHand from Note 3 (i9500)(deodexed) > only works for stock ROMs
Well, little did I know... After loading a ton of lib and framework changes, I found a hidden feature nobody has posted as of yet.
Hopefully my screen capture will explain for its self.

I watched the video, and was surprised that grey scale is not recorded with screen capture. Believe me it works. Even background data restriction as well.
OK, I tested again this time doing a full wipe to stock 4.4.2 load, and only changing the ui apk to the s3 ui. The added power save feature is built in to the ui. It was easy to discover, as power save button, on the quick buttons, would not reflect what power options have been set as the two function semi independently. It would toggle but toasts would only be shown if no power save functions have been set previously or vise-versa.
One other side note... With stock 8.0 4.4.2 f/w, changing the module name in build.prop will give a 6 button quick settings over the 5 on the s3. Plus if you should use appsettings in xposed, you can get twlauncher to have a single file app drawer like 4.2.2 with small icons, and a pull out nub that is smaller as well. The nub can be hidden just like before OK.
Also you get two added quick links in the lock screen, which are spen and quick shot. The extra power save functions are not included. Both 9005A or F and 900A or F work fine, s4 and s5 respectively.
You need to have Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S7 with Nova Launcher and Marshmallow.
Confirmed working on SM-G925F
So, to access hidden activities you need to add Nova Launcher widget called "Activites" then scroll down to "Settings" and select something from list. Some things won't work (they are not available, need additional permissions etc.), some of them are already available via Settings. I am not responsible if tinkering with activities do something nasty to your device!
However, there are some options that are hidden but can be very, very useful.
Hint - you can "test" specific activity by long press, there's no need to put every activity on home screen and test it that way. Also, applying settings isn't dependent on Nova Launcher, ergo you can use whatever you want after changing something.
Here's what I've found:
Settings
.DisplayScalingActivity - enables condensed view of system UI, same as on S6 Edge + or Note 5, meaning smaller icons and UI elements.
.IconBackgrounds - enables homescreen and app drawer icons background like it was in Marshmallow Beta.
.ModePreviewTablet - enables additional "Reading mode" in display options. It dims screen so I don't recommend using it on bright daylight because it can be harder to see assets on screen.
.networkconnect.NetworkManagerActivity - holy **** this one is nice. Allows you to select which app can use WiFi and mobile data. Also it allows you to select which apps can use data even after data usage warning is shown.
.RunningServices - shows running services, like in Developers Menu
.Settings$AirCmdSettingsActivity - S-Pen Air Command setting. It won't work since S6/S7 doesn't support S-Pen functionality.
.Settings$MemorySettingsActivity - Shows RAM usage options like on stock Marshmallow, at least I think. Very helpful for troubleshooting misbehaving apps or battery consumption.
.Settings$ZenModeSettingsActivity - it seems like this is Do Not Disturbed (DND) on steroids. You can add additional rules and select which events can have priority.
.UsageStatsActivity - shows usage for every app on phone. It lists app name, Last time app was used and for how long.
.wifi.WifiConfigInfo - very detailed info about configured WiFi networks.
System UI
.settings.BrightnessDialog - shows small slider for brightness
.DessertCase - old KitKat hidden animation from About
.egg.MLandActivity - hidden MM game
List will be updated with new discoveries.
Link for the widget please?
I am not able to locate it will Google search.
it´s a widget of nova launcher...just add the widget to homescreen
Hello everyone.
I own a Note 4 n910c with marshmallow.
I'm missing the functionality to change profiles according to time, location and other conditions.
I've been trying lately a few apps, but I'd like to hear your experience on which app you're using. Many apps are outdated, and I couldn't find one with a nice gui and icons for homescreen.
It's important for me to have the ability to add a shortcut (widget) on the main screen for each situation, like car, work, home, night.....
Thanks!!
Anyone?
I'm currently trying #1 Profile app, I like the simple minimal design, but it lacks profiles according to location.
Any suggestions for a more advanced app, yet with a simple design?
Thanks
I think GoodLock does this.
