Dont know. I think its may be just stability and performance.
How to root this firmware? Unable by the old method.
Oh come on Samsung screwed up something again.
The media process is running all the time.
The only Roms I can use are pure stock NA5 or AOSP.
I think I´ll smash that phone against a wall soon :crying:
I've found an NEW FEATURE,it's Fast Boot or something, translated from Chinese.
Many other phones have this features
Maybe needs support from bootloader or kernel?

And how's it?
It´s the fastest Firmware I´ve ever had on my phone.
But it seems my phone don´t want these Roms on it´s NAND.
It just keeps scanning my sdcard. I have already cleaned the SD and formatted it,
Same thing with every custom 4.3 Rom and Stock 4.1.2.

Well, for now everything is perfect, when debloated, ram usage is the same, also might be a placebo but i think it is smoother, and about battery life it's on 44% now and 23h on battery with 2:40 screen on time and heavy usage (games, video, social, photos).
The camera 'bug' is still present with autobrightness fail, but all in all it's tiny bit better than ND5.

They said it in overall,or like it's an example of what could be fixed, but they didn't exactly point that new firmware improves performance.
Gotta review more opinions, because reflashing the ROM adds too many work for me (debloating again, enabling all xposed modules, some backups, losing save games of some games which don't have cloud save, changing system sounds myself and etc.)

Hi, you can easily restore your saved games. Only make a backup of the game or program folder in (ROOT) /data/data/name of aplication. After, only restore this folder that your saved games and programs preferences will return...

For last 4 days I am using ZSJPE with Speedmod K10I
This is after having used JPO, DDJPA with all sorts of combinations.
Just as I was expecting that this is going to be a hit JPU hijacked the scene.
But ZSJPE vs JPU
ZSJPE is stock while JPU is leaked and still buggy
ZSJPE has everything fixed just like JPU
ZSJPE is completely bug free, and simply flys, JPU is having few bugs being reported
Kies connects, and no problem seeing internal and external storage on PC mac
Issues fixed in ZSJPE
GPS
Battery Life
Second Capital in Swype
Missing alphabets in contacts
Lag (nearly gone), quadrant without lagfix was over 1000.
As I researched, The XML files on apps from /data/data/<appname>/shared_prefs/ to /dbdata/databases/<appname>/shared_prefs/
According to Kalpik in post in thread JPU post 688 this could be the reason for the faster ROM.
Installation for trouble free and possibly best performance.
Backup apps through apps like titanium/mybackup
factory reset or full wipe.
go into download mode and flash using Odin, only PDA single file, NO PIT, no repartition required.
allow full boot and let full initialization, you will have to keep pressing next in setup wizard because it is in east asian language,
go to setttings>>location (from Square icon with A)>>Select 1st option>>select english.
shutdown
boot into download mode
flash speedmod kernel K10i
reboot
reboot into recovery
flash "simple root" installs super user and busybox.
flash 2e recovery
reboot
boot into recovery
apply lagfix (optional, as even without lagfix this rom flies), apply tweaks the top 4
reboot completely>>shutdown>>charge till full>>boot into recovery>>advanced CWM>>Clear battery stats
reboot and enjoy the NEW improved SGS experiance.
Do not expect quadrant scores over 1400-1600, but absolutely amazing phone.
Hope you will be able to find the ZSJPE and Speedmod Kernel in the forum.
Go Get It...

ZSJPE is as fast and smooth as XXJPU. ZSJPE has not given me single bug over last 5 days of rigorous use (rather misuse) to my surprise. ZSJPE is official HongKong ROM available through kies as well.
XXJPU is leaked ROM and various bugs are being reported. Worst of them is the poorly optimized browser, which is being reported to show checkerboard pattern while zooming in or out.
Hope I have clarified the point.

I will try to attach the pics ASAP, for now I would say
Idle use, like overnight with only 2G and no data it consume 1% in 7-8 hrs
Day time idle use with wifi on, sync on, screen off, no calling, I get 1/2% to 1% per hr
With browser 3G or angry bird it dropped 15%-20% per hour.
I do not like to compare the total time on with light/moderate/heavy use because these are subjective and relative terms and often confuse.
Please Wipe Battery stats after Flashing and go through full charge discharge cycle at least twice before you should Assess or Comment on the battery performance.
I use this ROM too, Just amazing. Never had any trouble with it.
My steps to install were:
1 - Backup Apps with mybackup.
2 - Odin only PDA, no repartition.
3 - Factory Reset (+ Deleted/Formatted Everything)
4 - Language English.
5 - Changed input method to Samsung Keypad to get rid of Chinese.
6 - Flash Speedmod Kernel K10i
7 - SuperOneClickv1.5.5
8 - Restore Apps & Data.
Enjoy a really good phone.
Circle battery mod
(Credit @evermick)
(Remember THIS IS ODEXED ROM, so not all .zip would work.
The one that gets downloaded from online kitchen is to be modified by replacing AndroidManifest.xml and META-INF from the Original framework-res.apk into the cooked framework-res.apk for it to work. So be sure what you are doing.)
The attached here is ready to be flashed straight through recovery.
Attached also is the original framework-res.apk which may be flashed through recovery to revert.
I am not sure whether it matters but I flashed it on virgin (fresh flash) ROM.
thx mate gonna try this firmware. gonna reparation with pit 512 as my phone has a virus.
You are welcome?
This post would have served its purpose if few users are able to reap the benefit.

Steps may wary, but I emphasize to reboot after installs. Aim was to give slightly elaborate method for safe install for people like me.LOL.
No need for step Super one click. For root, speed mod kernel recovery had option for root.
I prefer to use least no of tools to modify system ' cos at times tools may conflict.

Though it may be updated through kies, I would recommend you to follow the steps in first post. This would ensure 'clean' install which would ensure trouble free performance. Through kies it would not result in full wipe and may bring with it 'errors' to your new system.
Think about it.
So this is also a 2.2.1 release like JPU? Someone post a screenshot that proves it.

I have no where suggested that this is 2.2.1.
The title clearly says "best 2.2 rom".
Then you really shouldn't claim it's everything jpu is, and bug free at that. JPU is 2.2.1. And the jpu bugs you are reporting have not been a problem for me, I'm on docs ultra slim.

Lol, it was not my intention to flame the guy, and I was pretty neutral in my wording, but it has to be allowed to clarify statements that are stated categorically and simply aren't correct. Even if bugs are a problem for some people, this thread gives the impression that they are pretty universal for the jpu, and that just isn't so. Also the fact that this isn't 2.2.1 is a fair thing to point out, if you ask me.

People often refer to Froyo as 2.2 regardless of whether it's 2.2 or 2.2.1. I figured it was only 2.2, but the fact that you were making direct comparisons to JPU had me wondering.
Hows the GPS? Locking time and accuracy?
Whats the difference between 2.2.1 and 2.2. anyways.... more speed?
OK, so yesterday I flashed the new ANA2 firmware and immediately saw that it uses much less RAM resources than the previous versions. Although the only downside is that it returns everything to stock (there isn't a pre-rooted one yet). And by "everything" I mean EVERYTHING : no more root ; stock recovery and a bunch of annoying apps and bloatware. So you gotta install CWM (or TWRP) again, through ODIN, then you gotta root your phone, again, with Chainfire's SuperSU app through the custom recovery. And finally you gotta install an app like Freezer to disable the bloatware (NOTE-Google Maps and Google Magazines need to be deleted from .../system/app, because for some reason they won't stay freezed after a reboot). The other thing is (at least with me) that the official samsung boot and shutdown logo are replaced by ones from Movistar (it's an operator?) and the boot up sound is missing, but if you dig a bit here in xda, you'll find a post for the Galaxy S2 which has all the S3 Mini original animations needed to restore your phone's boot and shutdown logo If you really want the boot sound back, again search a bit here and you'll find a post which has a collection of S3 system sounds (which are the same as our S3 Mini's) and you just have to copy the file "PowerON.ogg" to ...system/media/audio/ui replacing the existing one. I think it's just better to replace the whole "audio" folder, 'cause there might be some other sounds missing.
And yeah, that's about it about the new firmware. Please note that I've downloaded this http://live.samsung-updates.com/details/24398/Galaxy_S_3_Mini/GT-I8190/XEC/I8190XXANA2.html version of the ANA2 firmware, so changes may vary between other versions of it.
If you can't find the posts for the original sounds and boot stuff, ask in this thread and I'll upload them to mediafire and post links here
! ! ! ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM AND HAVE IT ON YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD JUST IN CASE ! ! !

well, actually no. They've added a few more apps but you can get rid of them either with Freezer or by deleting them from system/app
Either way, you MUST be rooted

ok, so I reinstalled ANA2 and there are a few new apps like : Gun Bros , Google Magazines , Emotico , Mucika and Movistar
Thanks , but so the unwanted apps grow more ... i believe its almost time for me to excualy search somebody in real life that can root .
Can the new firmware help my battery to last longer? becaus my Phone's battery only last for 7 hours ...

I think it helps, but can't tell exactly as I've got apps that save up battery. Here's my setup :
DU Battery Saver PRO (paid ; needs root) - only turned on the Low CPU Frequency When Screen Locked option
Boosters Plus Battery Saver PRO (paid ; needs root) - Turned on all boosters (Double booster on ones which have that option)
Tasker (paid) - i use it so that my phone goes into Airplane Mode from 00:00 to 07:00 and to turn on 3G only when I launch specified apps
Battery Saving Build.prop Tweaks (...system/build.prop) - add the following lines at the very end of the build.prop file, then save it and reboot -->
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
pm.sleep_mode=1
With the above settings and the new firmware I got 5% drain from 23:00 to 07:00, which is amazing for me. The trick is to be able to use your phone without it lagging or lacking features, but when the screen turns off, all the above mentioned things take effect and greatly preserve battery life.
P.S. I can tell you how to root your phone it it's the international GT-I8190 version. I've even got all the stuff needed on my PC if you can't find something.
Oke thanks ,
I have never used custom rom . So i first gonne see if the new firmware thingy can help and otherwise i install custom rom

I was like that 'bout a year ago, but yesterday I remembered that there is nothing better than the latest stock firmware for a device. With all custom roms that i've tried FF6 and a bunch of other games and the whole UI lagged very much. As of yesterday, it runs smooth again (just like when I bought my phone).

Yeah i know, but the only thing that prevents me from switching is that there is no TouchWiz in CM (and i love touchwiz launcher) xD
Anyway, i was talking about how the newest STOCK firmware is better than the other STOCK ones.

does anybody know a way to enable 4way reboot for this latest firmware?
What is the point of develop and release a Rom with memory leak??
I see this issue when I open webpages on Facebook or consult content via Play Kiosco,
also the battery drains faster and also it heats up
as I see no matter how much they work on that ROM. the problem still will remain
if Im wrong please tell me, because I'm thinking of downgrade my smartphone to 4.4.2

Workarounds have been found for the memory leak. There's even an Xposed module that's supposed to fix the issue.
The memory leak is old news.
And it's google who messed up, not the guys here at XDA.

my comment wasn't for the guys of XDA at all, I mean why Samsung keep releasing updates of a ROM with that issues, I read about that fix with exposed, but until yesterday there was not any method for installing it on touchwiz ROMs
I already did the downgrade, but if the exposed fix works, that would be great, I like the lollipop experience, but stability is more important

Touchwiz doesn't have the memory leak issue. The memory leak was caused by the boot animation. Samsung uses a different boot animation format (qmg) for their animation. That's probably why.

I installed from sammobile the Russian one because it comes with spanish language included:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/46518/I9500XXUHOD4_I9500SERHOD4_SER/
I tried with stock ROM and custom ROMs based on this firmware like which seems the latest versión, seriously I installed them like 3 or 4 times getting the same result
which one are you using??? does it comes with spanish language?
The memory leak was caused by the boot animation.
Hello,
I have a G2 D802 International version (more info in the end of the post)
Rom is CloudyG2 v3.3 Android 5.0.2, but the problem is not related to this rom only, as it was also present with the Stock ROM.
I face a lot of slowdowns and a poor battery life even with the phone left on standby.
I don't recall that the same happened on Kitkat.
Things I tried:
- Clearing/wiping the cache partition, only closing all running apps makes it faster again but for a short while.
- Use Watchdog task manager to check if an app consumes CPU but it doesn't show something specific.
PS: I always do a full wipe when installing a new rom
Question is, how can I effectively check which app/process consumes cpu/battery.
Phone: LG G2 D802 (International) 16Gb version.
Rom: CloudyG2 v3.3
Android 5.0.2
Kernel: 3.4.0
Build number: SRKDeBloatG2-2-00.TomYum-Kung
Root: rooted.
Recovery: TWRP
Apps that may be left open in the background(if it matters):
Google maps, Outlook, Messenger, Whatsapp, Facebook, Chrome.
but these have been always the same, even when the performance was OK on kitkat
Just uninstall all apps you don't need. Like Facebook etc. Just go to the mobile page of the ones you need.
Also you can do a full wipe, internal sd card included. Then transfer install files to phone in TWRP. Than flash again. Don't use backup for the apps and install just the ones u need.
good luck!

Thanks @PhoenixNLx, I already wiped everything before, it comes back again.
as of the Apps I need them all, I did for sometime use facebook's website instead of the app, but the other apps I do need them.
I just wish if someone could guide me how to hunt down this problem by knowing the cause.
I also read that some performance problems were fixed in 5.1.1, so I would appreciate if anyone recommends a rom.

thanks @electrikjesus for passing by
sorry when I meant I'll be waiting for a stable rom, I meant without the early bugs in CM which are still not totally fixed,
but I think I'll lose my temper with my phone and install your rom after a week from now
Update for anyone viewing this thread in the feature,
I've installed Bliss Rom 6.0 (android 6.0 Marshmallow) and it has been a week since then,
the rom speed, battery usage and features are amazing and I don't face any slowness anymore.
Great to know! For future reference also there is an app called wakelock detector tells you what's eating your battery life

Question, if you are not rooted what is a good app that detects what's eating your battery life? I'm losing 15% on avg during the night and as far as I know nothing is running (bluetooth/location is off) and the phone is left in the same spot.
I had the same problems with the stock rom, but with CyanogenMod 12.1 I neither had battery problems nor slowdowns, the same with CM 13 nightlys now. On average, my g2 reaches up to 2 days battery running time.?

GSam Battery Monitor
Hello guys,
Around 3 months ago, I just rooted my device and tried to play with some rooms/kernels that didn't work.
After all, my phone have some problems:
The camera never work for recording. Whatsapp video, Snapchat bvideo or Default camera video. I'm just able to use the camera to take photos.
When I keep seeing videos on my Instagram for like 2-5 minutes, the phone auto reboot.
When I watch a video on facebook or youtube or any other "stream-like" source, the video freezes and the audio continues.
Well, I know that I have enough problems for a new start. But this time I want to make it right. I need you guys give me some advices to:
What kernel I might pick?
What room I should use?
I'm a really restricted person in termos of features. I dont need customized UIs and so.. I love clean rooms, that have the " only enough" stock features without too much random and unusable stock apps.
Thanks in advace for your help.
Some information from my device:
Model: SM-N9005
Baseband: N9005VJUEND1
AryaMod 8.1

Flash a stock Lollipop ROM and the head to AryaMod 8.1 thread and follow the instructions. Its a stock rom with load of features (try selecting the Note 3 features while installing, as few users have faced Weather widget issues with few Note 5 and S6 widgets). Also you have an option to select what system apps you want (don't select all). Also option to select Idle or Stock kernel while installing.

THanks for the help, guys !
Do you think that my problem is related with the ROM ? Im asking because since I got a bit confused with kernels, Im afraid i do the whole new process for the ROM and stick with the problems..
Hey,
flash the old 4.4.2 KitKat from SamMobile with the right PIT-File to start fresh over. Dont use the Lollipop-Update its full of bugs and not much apps/tweaks-support. Use the Stock-Firmware with Root and arter97-kernel. Get Titanium-App from Store and erase every bloatware. Thats all - you get a clean software with no bloatware.

If that's the case then first go on stock firmware and then flash ROM that u want skating stock firmware will get back u towards the original kernel of your phone

Seems reasonable.
I have found this version to download: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/39881/N9005VJUGNI1_N9005ZTMGNI1_ZTM/
And I guess you are talking about this kernel version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/arter97-kernel-galaxy-note-3-t3028148
I didnt get what you mean about "Titanium-App" thing. Its titanium backup app you are talking about?

I mean the Titanium Back Up, yes.
Thats right, download all files and flash it. Dont forget to use a pit-file if you want a real fresh start.
Yeah, where to get the "right" PIT file? That's the bigger question.
