I've been having issues pairing/connecting to one of my bluetooth devices. I currently have 2 devices paired with my phone and they work flawlessly. The third device worked fine for about a month before it stopped connecting. It was still listed as a paired device, however it would not auto-connect nor manual connect (it would flash connecting for a second, but that was it).
My next step was to unpair and try and start from the beginning. If I unpair and try to pair again, it will say "pairing..." indefinitely. Afterwords, I will toggle bluetooth and the device appears again as a paired device, but I am still not able to connect. I've also tried unpairing and toggling bluetooth, but as soon as it comes back on the device is still listed as paired. I've also tried rebooting the device, but the results are the same.
For the record, I was able to pair and use the trouble device with an Evo without issue. I was also able to unpair from one of my working devices, and pair again with no problems. I'm really at a loss as far as what to do short of formatting the device. Does anyone have any other ideas I could try?
Thanks
I sometimes get the same problems but there's nothing we can do about it. DK28 is a beta build that's bound to have problems.
I get the same problems occasionally. DK28 is known to have several issues with Bluetooth.
Is there any way for you to do a hard reset on any of the bluetooth devices?
I know I had to do this with my Jawbone Prime for my Epic.
I also have a big issues with the bluetooth pairings.
Can't pair any device, actually
But I have a backup data with all my pairing bluetooth devices. I've made that backup from 2.1 Eclair. I can restore it, but it is old backup. So, when I've tried to backup all of my bluetooth pairings with the Titanium Backup I can't restore it with the new data. That is very interesting because I can see all of my bluetooth pairings backups after I'm restoring the new data but there is no restore button. I can see those backups but I can't restore it.
Can somebody give me the Idea what to do and how can I make bluetooth pairings?
Help me, please?
Thank you!

I had some bluetooth problems as well when on some of the current EXT4 ROMs.. i have reverted back to RFS and an older ROM build and things work better.
Guys, I would seriously try looking up a way to do a hard reset on your bluetooth devices. I had to do this with my Jawbone Prime earpiece with my Epic running Quantum 2.7.0. I have it converted to ext4 via cwm3 and it works fine. I would suggest giving it a shot. The worst that can happen is you still have an unpaired bluetooth device.
For my Jawbone Prime I had to do a specific pattern of hitting the talk and Noise Assassin buttons. It paired up immeditately with my phone. You may have to do similar with yours, depending on what you have.

I installed a brand new Parrot MKi9200 in a van for one of my customers. This parrot piece would pair with my phone but not connect. This was running an EXT4 version of Bonsai. I grabbed my boss' Fascinate (stock 2.1) and it paired up just fine. I went back to an RFS only version on my phone and it paired perfectly.
Also as was previously mentioned, resetting your bluetooth device after a ROM flash can help with connectivity issues.
I think I found a fix for the pairing issues on DK28+
I had to turn off bluetooth, the adb shell, su, go into /data/misc/bluetoothd/ then I renamed/added _ to the file there. "mv xx:xx:xx:xx:xx to xx:xx:xx:xx:xx_" (which should be the MAC address of the phones bluetooth radio)..
Then turned back on bluetooth.. And that fixed pairing. Good luck.

This worked for me.
I'm new to these forums and new to rooting Android devices, but upon rooting my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 using geohot's method, my Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 disconnects when accepting or placing calls. It seems that it drops the phone audio connection while still retaining the data connection. I am able to still receive notifications on the device but I am unable to use the device as a Bluetooth headset. The only way I am able to recover from this issue is to perform a factory restore, which I can only assume unroots the phone in the process.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Has anyone else been able to fix this? I can provide more information if requested, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: I would like to add that this is affecting all Bluetooth headset (phone audio) devices currently paired with my phone. For example, the Pioneer radio in my vehicle (AVIC-8000NEX) can no longer be used as a handsfree system unless I factory reset the phone.

That's really odd. I do not use any samsung gear, but I do use my phone in the car via bluetooth. I've never had an issue.

Try clearing Bluetooth data in settings/applications/applications manager /bluetooth share. see if that helps ..

Hi All - I have been experiencing very bad battery drain issues after getting a new headset (Plantronics Edge).
After researching it I see its partly due to wakelocks caused by a process called StartingObexPbapTransaction - which is the phonebook sharing service that allows the headset to perform a caller ID function. Apparently its a known issue with certain headsets and KitKat.
I would like to disable this service - although I dont want to disable bluetooth for my headset.
I cant figure out what to freeze using Titanium. I see Bluetooth share 4.2.2 which I assume I need? Is there a way to find just this process and freeze it?
Thanks.
Do a Nandroid before you do anything. Did you find any fixes while searching. Doesn't sound like an app so doubt if TB will. Is headset new enough you can exchange it. I am not on S4 anymore so can't offer much more. Sorry.

Hi, i have RR-O-v6.1.0-20180708-axon7-Weekly rom for several months,
and before two days i had BT connections to my car head unit.
But since Sunday evening i have no more chance to switch on Bluetooth.
Some hints (to erase data from bluetooth app) doesn't work because there is no BT app in the list.
Modem cannot be sick because testing a fresh flash of same rom shows bt is living...
But after restore of a complete TWRP-backup from last week is working well, but only: No BT...
Any hints there??
Thanks

Hi everyone I have a Level U headphone and a S7 edge. The problem is Level U's pairing button is broken and I can only use it with my S7 edge. My question is, I want to install a 9.0 pie rom but I want to keep using my headphones so is there any way to keep the pairing between my phone and headphones thanks.

Although you may be able to restore the bluetooth pairings on your s7 , your headphones may not connect directly unless pairing mode is activated on it .
Samsung cloud backs up the bluetooth pairings . So, switching samsung roms should be fine subject to above.
This is also a link I found, Haven't tested it . You can give it a try with some other bluetooth device with working pair probably to test.
