CyanogenMod stated they would launch an OTA update once a new stable snapshot was up, my Nexus 4, runs CM 11 M7, installed using the CM installer, and a stable snapshot for M8 is on the website, but i havent received an update. is it negligence on their part? or is something wrong with my device? or will they simply roll it out for OTA later?
Go to your phones settings and search for cyanogenmod updates. There you should find the latest snapshot

Hello everyone,
Yesterday for the first time I tried OmniROM, coming from CM 10.1, because I wanted to try Android 4.4 on my Note 2.
So I went to OmniROM's homepage to grab the ROM but all I found were nightlies. I then downloaded the latest nightly (11/26) which got me stuck in boot animation first, then crashed and burned horribly during Setup Wizard.
So I searched the net looking for another option and stumbled upon this ROM from DownloadandroidROMS.com, or whatever is was called, which hosts basically every Android ROM under the sun:
4.4-20131112-N7100-HOMEMADE
I loaded it through CWM, then Gapps from PA, then SuperSU, and everything is great. I'm one happy 4.4 root user.
Questions:
1. What is the HOMEMADE thing? Is it safe (in the way of spyware/malware)? Is it like the "Stable" release from CM?
2. How come I could not find it on OmniROM's official homepage?
3. This ROM was apparently released on 11/12/2013, so when can we expect the next release, if this is the stable version?
Homemade is just the default name for a self-built rom. Regarding safety... you have to trust the guy who made the rom...
HOMEMADE is to omni what UNOFFICIAL is to CM
I have recently installed Paranoid Android 3.99 RC2 (pa_n7100-3.99-RC2-20131031.zip) and GAaaps (pa_gapps-full-4.3-20131102-signed.zip) on my phone and now i am getting 3 OTA updates (Please refer to the screenshot attached). I want to use 4.3 for now, please suggest if i should install these OTA?
No. I wouldn't use 4.4.2 gapps on a 4.3 ROM. Also, you're on PA 3.99, dated OCT 31 2013. The OTA update is pointing you to PA 2.52, dated NOV 02 2012.

Yes. that's why i am confused. i have 3.99 and OTA wants to install 2.52.
Has anyone faced this issue?
It's probably just an issue with their servers. I wouldn't worry about it. Is there an option in settings to turn off OTA notifications? I forget, there's no PA build for my phone yet.
That build doesn't exist on the PA servers. Maybe it is on goo, but not PA.

I'm running 4.4.4 but want to go to 5.1. I did run 5.0.1 for a while but factory reset back to 4.4.4. I seem to remember that OTA updated fine from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 even with custom recovery and root. However my phone is only showing the OTA for 5.0.1, do I need to upgrade to this I order for 5.1 OTA to show.
Why not go straight for CM 12.1 (5.1) ? It runs veeeeeery nice. Better than stock 5.1 update (IMO)
What's the advantage of using cm these days, my last experience of it was on my old zte blade. I thought stock was now on par with cyanogen. Will their installer allow from rooted 4.4.4 to 5.1 while keeping my user data?

Hi!
Some days ago I unlocked my 6P, installed TWRP and flashed Chroma ROM. Now I wanted to download the factory images and back them up (just to be sure). My build number is MMB29U. According to this page, it's the build number of a Nexus player and not a 6P... Is that a problem? Which factory image should I download?
I have no problems with Chroma so far...
Thank you!

Totally normal. Chroma is based on the latest AOSP branch. For each OTA, the AOSP code is more up to date but is still compatible with your 6P. OTAs and latest AOSP share the same base at time of release. MMB29Q is the February firmware for your 6P.

So everything is fine, thank you!!
I noticed mine is MMB29U too. I just wanted to check what version I had prior to updating my baseband through rapid fire. Didn't see it on the list either. My phone had system errors after flashing though, so I'm still on MMB29U.
Hi guys, I've been looking for the final cm13 nightly release for the op2, but can't find it since get.cm no longer lists it, and every other site links to there. Since xposed still isn't working on cm 14.1, I need to revert back to cm13. Can someone please link me to the last nightly release?

Couldn't find any mirrors. Someone who got it will have to upload it. Use Exodus. It's smoother & more stable than CM 13.
Here you go, you will get all cm roms mirror available for OnePlus 2.
