Can it possible to get messages and camera shows on Quick window????
Help any one ????
But in settings when i press " help " it say...... But in options i dont see them ??
yes, it is possible to receive/reject calls while the quick cover is on.
in the quickcover menu i have only clock, weather and music (not the call logs).
with the latest update, the volume down longpress to quick activate the camera
also works (it did not work on JB) -- that is very cool actually, i missed that.
the latest update also "locks" the quickcover screen and needs to be swiped
to unlock.
overall, i am very happy with my quick cover (Roar).

Hi. I am a novice when it comes to HTC. Have some questions that I need help. When I put the key lock is the entire screen black. Would like to see a clock and date as a screensaver.
How do I change sms sound?
and how to disable the volume buttons?
I hope someone can help me. A very good forum incidentally.
Try S2U2 for your lock. As far as sms, go to settings-> personal->sounds and notifications. Tick notifications at the bottom. On the next screen tick the drop down menu next to "events", choose "new text message" and below choose the sound. Also make sure "Play sound" is checked. I'm not sure how to disable volume buttons...you might try AEbuttons Plus. I believe that's what it's called.
a little more infos on screen lock.. the screen gets completely off because it would drain an infernal amount of battery if it was on displaying some clock like happened, say, in those good old nokias (n70 and the likes). yes, you can install s2u2 which will provide a nicer "unlock screen" with clock and sms notifications and everything but after some idle time (5 minutes max) the screen will turn off anyway.
s2u2 anyway, when enabled, will block the volume buttons.
SOLVED (sounds & notifications settings)
Before when notifications (and most importantly the alarm) went off I am 99 % sure I used to get the popup menu at the bottom of the lock screen with options to either dismiss or pause the alarm. Lately this option on lock screen has now disappeared. Now when the alarm wakes me in the morning I have to unlock the phone, tap the notifications bar on top of the screen to get to the notifications menu and tap the alarm to get to the pop up menu for the chosen notification. If you just want to snooze the alarm, you'll be wide awake by the end of this series of touches.
Do people get the notification popup menu on their lock screens? I sure would like to get this back. Anyone?
PS: I think that this was OK on several occations between my last program install (I think this was updating the cookies home tab to 1.6) and when I first noticed the problem, but I can't really swear on it.
PS2: I have searched to find a thread with this issue, but have just found slightly relating topics (ie in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612775&highlight=notification+lock it seems a guy had to unlock to dismiss but I'm not sure if that was due to password lock. And I did try the "Clean notifications" with pmClean as suggested by post #6. I'm not really sure if this worked though, because it says that the number of notifications are 19 both before and after I apply the cleanup. Does this mean the program doesn't work?)
do you have bsb tweaks installeD? Turn on 'dismiss x notifications' tweak. That reenables the snooze and what not,
also,
settings tab - menu - all settings - sounds & notific - notifications.
call up teh notification you are interested in (new message, for example) and tick 'show on screen'.
Give those a try, see if they help. (Soft reset to make sure teh settings are changed.)
Thanks so much. It was the sounds & notifications settings that did it.
Feeling kind of silly now that it was just a simple setting . But I'm pretty sure I haven't changed it myself so I guess I just assumed it would be something more severe.
Anyhow. PROBLEM SOLVED.
Problem solved! I also forgot that I had already done this before I did a hard reset! Thanks for this post though!
Hi Guys,
I have got the same problem (no dismiss showing up in lock screen), but there is no option for alarms in the Notification Settings. How did you solve it in the end?
Cheers
Hi everyone, I know we can add shorcuts in the lockscreen in CM10, but I'm trying to get a shorcut to toggle between silent mode and normal mode, just as the stock lockscreen, but I can't find the right option, can someone help me do this?
Thanks in advance!

Didn't find it yet, will let you know if i do.
On a side note, anyone managed to get both the "standard" lockscreen (ie : with the unlock/camera shortcuts and so on) and the unlocking via pattern (ie : have the normal lockscreen who pops the pattern unlock once unlocked) ?
Didn't find a way to do that.

I think it's settings -> lock screen -> screen security -> show widgets before unlock.

Yes, I've read somewhere that that option in particular wasn't working, I've tested it and it worked fine

Rooh thanx a lot it works.
I hadn't put together the "displaying widgets" option and the "stock lock" activation.
Soo i guess i'll now have to search a bit more to get the mute/unmute widget on the lock screen (and get rid of that silly google shortcut on it ).
edit : after a few search and tests :
- we aren't the only ones trying to get a mute/unmute button on said lockscreen, but i didn't find a solution
- it seems pushing and maintaining pushed the two vol+/- buttons at lock screen makes the sound control panel appear and interactive (as a "poor" substitute for the mute/unmute widget on lock )
- the camera app button "works" in the way it start the app... but it still requires to unlock the lock screen and phone to get to it (at least in my tests ).

I've tried a lot of options from "activities" and it seems there's no option to do that
What I'm doing is to disable lock security and while locked I can still roll the notification bar down (when no pattern, pin or password set, of course) and toggle from the switcher on the notification bar... I still think that the lockscreen widget would be better though...
Thanks for searching too
Am i the only one with problems seeing the icons status in the notification ? I'm colorblind and wrote to lg support before the kitkat update and asked if there was a way to change it but he said that after kitkat it would be easier to see it but it is not.
Is a way to change it so i get and on/off icon or something ?
yeah go to accesibility settings in settings, general, you can change some settings there that might improve it for you
Solution for me...
Hello. I was having the same problem that you have, I'm color blind too. Fortunly I was able to resolve it. It's not perfect but works with me.
My phone is the LG G2 Mini Dual but I think it's the same for the LG G2.
Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Accessibility settings shortcut and select "Invert colors".
Now, every time you tap the Home Button 3 times, it will invert screen colors. To disable this, just tap 3 times again
Hope this help you like it helpes me :good:
So I'm coming from a pixel where I would get my app notifications to wake and show on my lock screen. When I get an email for example, I get the sound and mynlight will blink but my screen doesn't wake up and show anything til I press the power button.
How can I get them to show without having to press the power button??
Yes, I'd like to know how to do this too! Any ideas anyone?
Currently, the best I can see is that my 'always on screen' will show a small icon to indicate there's a new notification (an email icon for example). Though it does not flash or light up. The icon just displays very discreetly so really you have to look for it. I then need to tap the home button, which reveals the 'pin entry screen'... on this screen I tap the 'back' arrow which displays the full notification. So its two tap to reveal notifications without unlocking the phone.
What I really want is to see notifications flash up on my lock screen before I choose to swipe open the app (using PIN etc). For that reason, face recognition also isn't great as the phone opens past the notifications screen the moment you look at it!
Have just moved from an iphone. currently this is the only real con, otherwise amazing upgrade!
Did anyone figure this out?

It isn't probably answering your question, but might help. I don't know if you have set a setting under: settings>display>navigation bar and then check out "unlock with home button", it will at least not require you to press power button, but just a home button. I just press home button and it shows my lock screen and any notifications I may have.
1) So when you set unlock with home button to ON, then your phone will go straight to home screen(if phone isn't locked with a code) when you press this home button.
2) If you turn off that feature, then, when you press home button, then your phone will show lock screen first regardless if your phone is locked or unlocked.
Hi,
I'd also like to have my s8 screen to wake upon receiving notifications (whatsapp messages, emails, etc).
I switch off the AOD feature and would love to see a preview of notifications when i receive them without having to reach out for my phone.
Coming from the iphone, I'm so used to just glance at it and see if its an important message or something that can wait. I find this feature very well executed.
The s8 requires me to manually turn on the screen.
Any info? I'm pretty sure its not hidden somewhere in Settings... Probably can't even do this without root or installing additional apps.
Thanks
I have found an easy solution. Simply download and install this app from the playstore.

Good luck.

I knew there was an app somewhere that will do this! Thank you!
Since the Oreo update I used a similar app called "Screen Notifications" which woke the screen on notification, however no longer works since the update.
Anyone got a work around?
