Ok with the new firmware 4.4.2 from samsung finally released for i9506, nordic firmwares can download OTA, i would love to have the S5 touchwiz as many other users would too.
In some threads it was mentioned you need 4.4.2 framework in order for it to work. So now i will try and begin testing to switch the interface to S5.
Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

There is this MOD for the i9505. I am waiting for a deodexed system to try it on. Im sorry for this thread there are many mods in the S4 themes and apps subforums.

What i have done so far....
I followed steps from this thread for the Accuweather widget and the S5 touchwiz launcher and downloaded some S5 icon theme and in the build.prop i changed name of device to SM-N900S to get the S5 status bar and notification panel.

the newest firmware is available in a thread in galaxy y general called "new firmware on sam mobile"

Make a nandroid backup of the latest Firmware from your friend's device and Restore it.
If you get error than in advance restore restore everything except the 'boot' ie the first option in advance restore.
PS - The following steps are for CWM
For deodex just Google it.
Please use the search box before making threads
As per ur request..
Search for "samsung galaxy y stock odin packages"
Ull get to the thread with stockroms of all regions....

Strange, as I have used it many times before without a problem on lolipop and kitkat! Too bad it was of no help to you.

no, 900w8 but from my knowledge of these phones, they are basically the same. The file I gave you was made by @filichi and was for the 900w8 and the 900t. I still need to use it on some rom's but not as much as i did months ago.

Do you want to try a CM Rom? Which variant do you have? If you want to try CM rom you need to go for 4.4.4.

Bro as i said you don't need that and it doesn't matter what is your firmware build number or what is your baseband number. All you need is a specific file for your mobile like CF root for s3 or S3 neo or s4 etc ok and if any thing matters is that your mobile variant number and yours GT-I9301I.

On Your G900V Becuase The Same Chipset Is So I've Installed Nemesis Rom From Our Friend @geiti94 and it's completly stable but with common of issues
thats mean any issues in g900f will be on your g900v

Hey buddy, wanted to thank u for the rom suggestion. This rom is flying on my phone! I just wish I could get the google assistant from the pixel phones working. The google now on tap won't work, I believe this is why the assistant is failing. Long press on home does nothing. I been trying to find a fix with no luck.

Sure sorry, I have TWRP with stock lollipop Rom my model is i9506 the advanced version. I would like to have an old touchwiz Rom, stock or custom no preferences.

I don't think a ROM with android 4.4.2 can use the camera or RIL when you already have components from LP on the phone.
it's not a problem, it's for my personal use of pen testing. Do you think it can be found?
