Samsung store to the g3 - G3 General

Coming from a note 2 and a 10.1 2014 bought a few apps in the Samsung store any way to get those on my g3? Figured you could side load the Samsung store but I'm not finding the link.

As of this moment no one has figured it out ho to do this... Also I was searching because I have Gear 2 watch. Not working with out Samsung. But luckily I have bought to my wife S5 so I am able to "tweak" and play with my Gear 2... Though I managed to work with Nexus 5 but that was with my old Galaxy Gear...

Use something like Rom toolbox or titanium to back up apps to your sd on the other device.... Even try to back up Samsung store and see it probably won't work but you can try

Why would you go from A Galaxy S4 to a Nexus 4? Loss of usb otg makes it seem like a downgrade to me.

Nexus has otg but it needs power for it. I have an external battery source so it wouldn't be an issue. I am absolutely bored of my s4. Nothing new is going on with it. Because of the locked bootloader it is an issue. I don't feel like I'm getting anything out of my s4. I'm done with branded phones. If my s4 doesn't sell now then ill just buy the n5 whenever it arrives in October.

This was what happened when I went from my Galaxy Nexus to S3, although it was an international version so it didn't have problem with locked boot loader. I think if you have gotten the international version there would be plenty of roms to play with.

There are roms to play with but I just don't feel that I am getting everything out of this phone that I could. I haven't even flashed a rom in weeks. I don't feel like I'm using a quad core because of lag. I played a few games and I lagged. I am just going to wait for the n5 and swap out.

For folks getting the 'invalid serial no.' errors, double check your '0's (zeros) and 'O' (ohs) are proper! I got the same error and had to futz around with it a little until it took.

Just bought a S3 again :)

Bought the S3 when it was originally launched back in 2012 & was sold on in May of last year, I've decided while the price of the i9300 is now cheap enough it make for a great 2nd phone to use at work ect, with my Note 3 still being my primary phone.
My previous work phone was an 8GB Moto G which now with my brother, as he was desperate for a new phone.
One thing i really miss on the S3 was the camera & how decent it was with music aswell plus having both an SD card slot I can now cram it full of music again oh and i can now also use my Galaxy Gear with it aswell :good::laugh:.
One questions though.
Does the 4.3 update add KNOX as i plan on rooting and trying out a couple of custom roms, something i darn't do with the Note 3 as i don't want it to knacker my warranty.
Knox is not there in all s3 4.3 Roms

S6+ Now Rooted

Today i checked by (OneClickRoot) to see if they rooted the new S6+ or Not, and found that my device can be Rooted, but i am afraid to try, did anyone try this
I wouldn't be surprised if it works, but it will most likely trip knox, which will disable your ability to use Samsung pay... I just switched to the + from the regular S6 edge and I went months without rooting so that I can try out Samsung pay. And since it's coming out this Friday, I'm definitely going to hold off until then

nice ! good info
From what I read online the ATT version will not boot at all after root and it is the "A" version of that model number. It doesn't come up as supported yet. I feel confident someone will figure this out though.
What is coming out this Friday?

Good to hear but I thought Adguard was only a browser extension. How does it work within Android? Or is it a simple apk download from somewhere?

Yes I've been using it and it seems as effective as using Ad Away.
Only thing I'm not a fan of is that pesky key icon in the upper right in the notification bar. Any way of getting rid of it for good? I tried the usual of going in app properties and unchecking notifications and the app itself has this setting in its own menu (which gets rid of one of the two icons) but the key remains.

pairing with gear s2

so I've been reading that people with the v10 couldn't pair the gear s2. this sucks. i just got a refurbished one for 100 bucks that I've been loving and wearing over my Moto 360 2nd gen because frankly it's just better than Android wear... and now I'm coming to learn that Samsung doesn't have the v10 or even g5 listed as compatible devices and v10 owners had huge issues with it. this sucks. anyone else disappointed by this?

You two might be right. They USED to only work on Samsung devices. I just did a little research and found the "device compatibility" list on Samsung's site, and there were tons of other devices listed other than Samsung ones.

Which is why I agreed with you and just elaborated on my findings.
edit: and admitted I was wrong.
As for OP, the Samsung list of compatible devices says "Subject to change," so after the V20 comes out in the US, they may add it to the list. HOWEVER, the list is most likely out of date now, because only the G Flex, OPTIMUS G, G2, G3, G4, G Vista, and Nexus 5 are listed. No G Vista 2, G5, or even V10. Unless they just aren't compatible or something.
I don't really know now, so I have to step back and hope you get an answer from someone else. I mean... up until tonight, I thought the Gears could still only work with Samsung devices only. I thought that was the answer, but obviously not. LOL
yeah this sucks. i really like it more than my moto 360 with android wear..it just does things much better, especially replies, and now that android wear 2.0 won't even be out until next year, it's getting kinda ridiculous and annoying.
we'll see what happens i guess. ugh!

iPhone compatibility is supposed to come at some point...
back to the topic, I love my S2 Classic, and will probably buy a S3 on launch. However I have only paired it with a Samsung. I am interested in seeing how it works with a non-Samsung Android phone. I previously had Pebble, LG's watc, Moto 360, Pebble Time, Samsung Gear 2, and Gear 2 Neo.
The S2 Classic is by far the best. I currently have it with a Samsung S7 Edge. My S7 Edge still works fine, but I find myself wanting a LG V20.
