Hi,
I want to flash more than just stock ROMs on my Galaxy Note using Mobile Odin Pro.
From what I've read, it's best for me to stick with Gingerbread Roms for the moment because flashing Ice Cream Sandwich Roms back to Gingerbread Roms can be more than just tricky.
Here's a list of ROMs that I know of so far.
GingerBread ROMs
Chrack´s Rom
Criskelo Rom
Darky Rom
KingDroid
Rocket Rom
Cassies XtraLite
Midnote
Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs
MIUI Livewings Edition
imilka's AOSP ICS
Criskelo's ICS V1
MIDNOTE 2.0
Codename Android 1.5.5
Rocket ICS
ICS Stunner Beta
Stock Roms
Stock ROMs
Can you let me know if I'm missing anything, or may have mistyped anything or misplaced them in the wrong category?
Cheers!

In despered need to make a thread? Not tricky at all from ics to gb.

We have a whole development section full of the ROMs, why do we need a list?
I'm currently using an ICS custom ROM, thank you.
you probably need to go back to GB rom to avoid any further problem such a HARD BRICK.
leaked ics rom and official ics rom and giving los of trouble.
No point upgrading, either you stay on your current rom till the devs come up with a solution or Samsung releases a brick free ICS.
or
You get back to GB, but after tasting the Icecream Sandwich would GingerBread suffice?
Either way stay away from CWM
I'm currently on Liquid V1 with LP1 Repack Its working perfectly fine not even one FC! Therefore i'm just waiting for a reliable solution/upgrade to ics. I also have a Nandroid backup of my GB rom.
Hey guys what Version most updated of android for HTC HD2 US is available??
thx
Have you looked in the nand section? Take your pick, there are eclair roms froyo roms gingerbread roms, honeycomb roms, icecreamsandwiCJ roms and jellybean roms. I can tell you that jellybean is so close to totally stable, its easily useable as a daily driver.
JB 4.1.1

Hi there.
I have decided to use an older CM7 ROM purely for stability and speed reasons, but I really like the YouTube, Gmail, and Browser that comes with the newer ICS and JB ROMS.
Is there a way to install the newer apps on the older ROM?
Thanks
I think that no.
CM10 is built on JellyBean (Android v 4.1.2) and CM7 with GingerBeard (Android 2.3.6) so the versions of apps are very different, you can't get JellyBean's version of an app on a GingerBeard rom.
Will all of the custom ROMs in this forum work with the new OTA update? Or will we need to wait for the ROMs to be updated for 4.1.2 before flashing?

my understanding is that the custom ROMs would be replacements - not necessarily additions to a certain ROM. that being said, I think there is a new kernel update (reason for the improved WiFi connectivity), so there could be problems if you flash an older custom ROM over the new update.
I'm hoping that some of the developers will be issuing an update to their ROMs - but we'll just have to wait and see. I'm in no rush though, no sense in turning a gourmet chef into a short order cook.
