Hey so everyone has told me that I'm supposed to have a file called Handsfree.exe in my startup, but I don't have it and that I should extract it from my ROM, but I don't know how to do that... can someone give me a quick tutorial on how I can extract it or am I even on the right path... basically the buttons on my headset don't work for answering calls or ending calls.
THANKS!
see dumprom:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/dumprom.html
In the new ROM, there is no more Handsfree.exe in sight, instead I found handsfree_DLL.dll and it's not in startup folder anymore.
I have the handsfree_DLL.dll in my windows, but still the handsfree buttons are not working... has anyone else run into a problem where their handsfree buttons just stop working?
hello,
I pray someone can help me.
My voice dial over bluetooth has stopped working. This is such a nuisance but I have been playing non stop with this phone so....
I want to hard reset, I have copied all files out of my extended rom. When the sytsem reboots, its going to start restoring all the tmobile crap.
Does anyone have a list of what each file does, then i can decide if i want to install certain parts or not.
Many thanks
PS this is on the newest ROM from the uk web site (with a2dp)
This is one of the issue of bother me most for X1. Apply this fix (driver taken from HD), install Cyberon Voice commander/Voicedial (search yrself for whatever version you want), and the button on yr BT headset should bring up the app. (Work for my rom w/ Sony DS-205)

Edit: Sorry bro. Just tried it today on stock R2A image and it's not working. But it's sure working under my rom and therefore probably more files which I already included is needed (mostly files from HD). I am too busy to look into this issue but those files should give you some hints what is needed.
does it works on the original ROM?

Jack, I tried to install the fix but when the bar fills up it says that the installation was unsuccessful. I am using your rom v2.4 btw.
I am trying to solve this bluetooth problem for days, I hope this fix will do it for me (if I get it to install).
Have any solution????

I update the post w/ manual install method which should work at least for 2.4. (just tested and not working for stock R2A rom).

So does it work in your rom or not? (I am using your 2.4). Yesterday I just extracted all the files from the cab and put them on the installation folder of the cab. Then extracted the registry keys I found on the cab and imported them on my X1. Still it doesn't work.
I think that the reason it won't work is that you don't replace the BTAGExtModule key (that in your rom is vcbthag.dll) with another dll. So vcbthag still calls MSVC and Cyberon is never called.

Unfortunately with that dll it just continues to do what it did before MSVC, "nothing". I wonder how they do it on Touch HD.
I will release 2.5 soon and you can play around w/ it later. At least I am able to call Cyberon VC w/ BT button now.

Good news, waiting for your new release.
Jack, I don't see the BT fix on your linked page. How did you finally solve this problem? Is it the method listed in this thread, or something else? I would like to get Cyberon working on my X1a without completely changing the ROM.
UP.... UP..... ?
Any help would be appreciated. I spent some time creating a theme for an MTD rom that I like, problem is I ran into an issue with media ui file. I wanted to change the dial pad sound from stock to custom sounds when using the dial pad with no such luck. Oddly I was able to change the charger_connection ui .ogg file but for some reason the keyy.ogg files will not take. No matter what I try it reverts back to the stock dial pad sounds. Again any help would be appreciated.

Hey try to use this.
http://www.a-c-t-a.tk/files/FRX70.zip
Ive got it working on my Blackstone.
I'm sure this will help you.
Just download the ZIP file, unzip it, put all these files to the root folder of your SD card.
If camera doesnt work just upload this files to root.
Let it overwrite the files.
