Hi, i found this java-based app named music-barel, which can play DSD files (SACD format). There is also paid android app Kamerton, which is based on music-barel.

But is somehow possible to port DSD codec from music-barel to default Walkman app? Thanks

I have a large number of movies converted to play on my Sharp 903 (SD Video format).
In order to watch them with sound,on the PC, in media player I had to add a codec (SHARP G.726).
I have loaded a few onto the O2 xda mini s and they look fantastic, but no sound as could be expected.
I have added the codec but it will not recognise it.
Any tips on adding codecs to the media player please.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried using TCPMP player? It plays many more file types and on TCPMP's web site they have extra codec to use if needed.
Thanks for the info.
I have not got into adding other programs yet and for this perpose I would be happy with the bundled media player if I knew how to add a codec. I had no problems on the PC.
Any tips on how to add codecs to media player?
Hello people,
Is there any way for BADA to play ogg files?
Does anybody know an application, or a codec?
I think Dj Scratch can play ogg files and maybe also other bada apps but there is no way to integrate a codec for the native music/mediaplayer yet. But with 3rd party apps yes.
Is it possible to change the default video player for Netflix?
What do you mean?
Netflix provides its own client app for android.
There are mods to the Netflix client app, but all of them originally comes from Netflix I believe.
I believe that the Netflix client plays streaming movies through the default android video player. The same player used when playing movies loaded on sdcard. So my question is can you change that to a different player such as mobo player to improve quality of picture? Many of these software based playes handle the higher bitrate streaming better.
Isn't this tablet supposed to support Wma audio? In the media players it doesn't show Wm a files and in astro it says file type not found or cannot play this file type is there any specific specs that the tablet requires?
Well because it's WM the specific specs are usually a Windows OS.
But try the market for some audio apps like Power Amp.
The upcoming 3.1 update will have:
...
- Media support more and WMA / WMV to improve the display of MPEG-4 Simple Profile.
...
Currently I'm using PowerAmp which plays WMA without problems.
I also use Power Amp, which I found after flashing a custom ROM on my Droid, which came with WMA support 'stock' but not in the custom ROM.
Does anybody know of a music player app that will output hi-res FLAC files to Chromecast Audio without down converting to 48khz besides the built in LG Music app? Using the LG app I can play a 24 bit 96khz file and send it to the Chromecast Audio connected via optical cable to my Sony AV amp and the display panel shows that the file is playing 'LINEAR PCM [96kHz]' so I know that the V20 hardware is capable of passing the hi res files to the Chromecast. However, the native LG Music player is pretty awful a far as features and playlist support. I can use the built in Android screen casting feature to send audio and then use any app (including my preferred Poweramp alpha), but then all audio is downconverted to 48kHz.
Any other decent apps besides LG Music that offer casting?
