unable to install OTA2 WE

I'm not able to install the new OTA2. A factory reset didn't fix it. I read the CWM DEV thread and updated my "old" CWM to the newest version for my Tablet (ventana64_recovery.img) (WE)
Trying to install the new OTA2 update it stops and Trying to install the OTA via the CWM i got although an Error (like before):
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "Indigo" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "Indigo"
E:Error in /sdcard/ThinkPatTablet_A310_02_0039_0086_WE.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I read in an other Forum that perhaps the CWM and Voodoo RootKeeper in combination could cause some Problem, but I have no idea to solve it.
Is there a way to uninstall the CWM, install the OTA and reinstall the CWM ?
Did someone managed to install the OTA2 with CWM installed

i had the same problem. solved it by restoring the original Recovery.
- you have to have superuser rights
- you should have a backup of the stock recovery in /system named recovery-from-boot.p
- put the file from the zip to /system/etc and do the following via adb:

# dd if=/system/recovery-from-boot.p of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1
- do a reboot and try to install the OTA2 update.
for me it worked like a charm. hope for you too.

That didn't work for me. Now I can't get into Recovery-Mode. Can someone post the stock recovery?

which tablet version do you have? i can only give you the 16 gb Wifi only version. didn't you check to have /system/recovery-from-boot.p file? maybe it is called different at your tablet?
edit: attached stock recovery for 16gb wifi only model.

Yeah I tried it. I copied your command. I have the 64GB 3G model. The file /system/recovery-from-boot.p is only 343918 bytes big. Is this alright?
I tried Quick Reboot App and the Volume-Toggle, which always worked for me. Couldn't get into recovery.
Could it be the install-recovery is the wrong one? (I really should make backups before doing stuff like install CWR )
EDIT: I checked the new OTA-zip. There is a new recovery-image and a new install-recovery.sh in there. I think I'll try these? Or do you think it's a bad idea?

the file in /system should be all right. When you fully copied my commands then you should know that the $ and the # are already in your window.
but if you have some new files take them and do the following (now you really can copy the commands )!
-put your 2 files to the destinated place and hit the following code into your command tool :

I have the same problem as Noneus. After done your step, now I cannot get in to recovery mode anymore. I tried both, copy your file even copy from now OTA.zip to the destination. Anyway to solve it?

I just delete "file_context" and ".dat" files that come in the Zip file of the original firmware.
I left only
- Firmware-update
- Meta-inf
- boot.img
Open the Zip file and enter to:
UL-ASUS_Z012D-WW-13.20.10.79-user \ META-INF \ com \ google \ android
OPEN the updater-script file with Notepad ++
and delete the first 3 lines
ifelse (GetProp ("ro.product.name") == "OPEN_Phone" ui_print ("OPEN SKU device"), (
GetProp ("ro.product.name") == "CN_Phone" || abort ("This package is for " CN_Phone \ "devices, this is a " "+ GetProp (" ro.product.name ") +" \ ".");

and save the change.
then place the Zip file in the SD memory, and flash phone for the recovery mode.
Select Install - find the firmware in you SDcard and procced to install it...
when you complete the process without error, WIPE cache and restart the device.
It may last some 10 minutes

Hey! Thanks man. After i deleted this three Lines im able to flash an OS again. :good:
After i tried the "Official Bootlock unlock..." thing, my finger are too fast so i deleted by mistake the OS!

The root of my zen3 went wrong, please help me. After doing the root procedures was looped I tried to reinstall the firmware but it locks almost at the end. I am without system now: (... I tried to install through ABD sideload but it appears:

Ive recently hard bricked my zenfone (tried rooting, went horribly wrong) and i tried this method, i downloaded the zip and the boot.img is corrupt, any new fix?

Hey, is your phone able to into ADB mode? if you haven't completely wiped your phone you can do a restore and get back the factory image that is on the phone but if you completely erased all data then you will need to apply the new OS via ADB

Ive tried going into ADB mode, didnt work, and I've already did a full wipe of the phone You know where to get a new OS? the one in the link I cant dowload, its always corrupt for me

when the first screen shows up and you press the volume key, don't do anything after that. after the 2 vm verity screen loads, you should be taken into recovery menu

Sorry for late response, havent got time to fix my Zenfone.
Could I just plug the zenfone into my computer and use ADB to get it into recovery?

What to do in case of receiving a OTA or want to update BUT don´t want to loose fastboot or TWRP???
If you receive a OTA or want to update through update.zip and you have ROOT:
1 - Downlaod the update (only download ) DON'T INSTALL IT
2 - Go to /data/data/com.tcl.fota/.fotadownload/ and copy to SD Card the update.zip that you will find there.
3 - Copy de update.zip to PC
4 - Use Winrar or other program and open the update.zip
5 - Delete the emmc_appsboot.mbn file, is aboot.img and doesn´t have fastboot commands ( Alcatel think we don´t need it ) OR replace it with aboot.img from 5.0.2 but you must name it emmc_appsboot.mbn!

6 - Delete the recovery folder, it will change your recovery ( TWRP ) with default recovery it have a patch for that ...

You can copy the update.zip with TWRP, download the update DON`T install it, turn off the phone, Boot in to TWRP, go to /data/data/com.tcl.fota/.fotadownload, copy the update.zip to SD Card, etc, etc..
Note: But this is my theory, I don´t have how to test this ...

Update LG G4 H818P to android 7 by LG-H815 Official v29A.

Installing the H815 Nougat Stock [v29A] on the H818P.
5.1 Installation
1 - Download KDz from 5.1;
2 - Put the phone in download mode and open the LG UP;
3 - Load KDz into the program and start;
4 - I hope to connect, configure and depart for the next procedure.
Root process
1- Download all files;
3 - Download IMG from the V10C BRASIL system or V10D Brasil (check the version of your software), after downloading and downloading the IMG to the internal memory of the device.
4. Install the drivers (if you do not have one) and extract the LG_Root.zip to the LG Root folder;
5- On the device, enable USB Debugging in the Developer Options;
6- In the LG Root folder, right-click pressing shift and click Open Command Window here.
7- Connect the USB cable to the computer and allow debugging;
8- In the open command window type adb.exe devices, so if the device is connected the computer will inform in the window. Example: List of devices attached, LGH818P (letters and numbers), device;
9- Disconnect the USB cable and the device. With it off, press the volume more, plug into the USB port, the device will turn on Download Mode;
10- Go back to the folder, with the device already in Download Mode, double click on the Ports file, it will open another command window, copy the port number that appears in \ Device \ LGANDNETDIAG1 REG_SZ COMxx, note the xx because it is the number of the door, write down the number, then close the window that has been opened;
11- Go back to the command window that you had previously opened, in it copy and paste the command Send_Command.exe \\. \ COMxx and change the xx by the number of its port;
12- Still in the window, type id, a message will appear. Example: uid = (0) root gid = (0) root. If it does not, type again;
13- It's time for root, you should be sure now that you have copied the correct port and that the file from step 2 is in the internal memory. Enter the command
dd if=/data/media/0/system.rooted.H81510c-EU.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0
and hit Enter on your keyboard. It should take about a minute, wait until # appears.
14- After you finish, type LEAVE for your device to reboot. Root is done.
Installing Nougat
1 - Right after Root download the Flash Fire, and install it;
2 - Copy to rom for internal storage, compact even;
3 - Right after pressing the "+" and select the option "Flash ZIP or OTA";
4 - Ira appears to navigate the internal memory, select the rom;
5 - Then select the "Flash" option;
6 - It will restart and soon after starting the installation;
7 - Ready, now just wait;
NOTE: In the LG logo it will take a little, something from 3 to 5 minutes.

NO. you lost signal.
If you try to Flash kdz file but it stops at 9% with error 0x2000 flashing fail .
Try replacing your LGUP dll with this one: LGUP_8994.dll

You must downgrade with kdz file of H815 MM and flash moderm after that.

you need a kdz v20p/MM for H815 and extract dll from it, then replace the old dll from your LGUP dir & and flash your kdz MM for H818.

hm ok, try to extract the dll from your kdz MM H818 and replace the dll again.

Thanks to all, I just restored my device.
I modified H81520p_00_0314.kdz with winhex and replaced H815 with H818P. Used LGUP for flashing.

After an update (official!) I re-encountered BALONG. After using your marvelous tool, it worked again, but there's no need to reset device (as written on CMD).
In addition, for the ones that get the error "no device attached" or something similar, you've only to reboot to TWRP, connect the phone to Windows and press Win+X, click on "device manager", look for "android device" or something similar. Right click on it and select "update driver", click the second option and than select that you already have the CD driver. You'll see a list: select "ADB composite device" and than finish: you've done!

Thanks for fast answer. I could fix the problem.
I downloaded the EMUI 3.1 as Magyar Telekom firmware from an arabic server cause ru huawei servers doesnt work lol. So I downloaded it I extracted boot, recovery, system, cust img files from UPDATE.APP with Huawei AppImage Extractor application. I flashed these with fastboot (Not TWRP, not huawei recovery). Fastboot from computer. Ok. But at the moment SIM does not work. I upgraded the system from Huawei update from settings (not recovery, system settings). After update the ROM and SIM is work perfectly.
