Well after recently importing my GT-P7510 to the UK have encountered a bit of a issue:
When I lock and unlock my screen with the power button a lot of the time the screen does not come back on, it lights up (is powered) but no lock screen appears, I can unlock it by guessing where the unlock circle is but that doesnt bring up the home screen ... the power button works normally when powering it on and off, just when locking I have this issue. I can sometimes get the screen back after multiple attempts, or leaving the tab for a while then unlocking it.
I've undertaken a factory and hard reset with no improvement. Any ideas guys? I briefly spoke to Samsung last night and they advised that the tablet needs a service but as I've imported it, this could be a bit of a challenge
I just got my Galaxy S4 and i love the phone, but my phone keeps turning off by itself in my pocket. Then i noticed that the phone turns off when i hold the power button for 10 or more second even when i don't hit the power off menu from the screen. Does anyone know how to disable this? It's really annoying, i found this article below, but can't seems to find anything to disable it. My phone is rooted so i can freeze any system app from titanium, just don't know what to disable.

Guys come here to ask for help because I am a layman when it comes to phones from Samsung , the situation is as follows my galaxy S5 of a sudden stopped working , at least not start / on , I tried various methods but I'm limited because , the device does not go into recovery mode or in download mode , since removed the battery and waited a few seconds, reinsiro the battery on the device, hold the volume button down / up + Home + Power button, the phone responds with a very low vibration and turns on the LED light , but nothing happens , the screen is turned off, the same with charger in making vibrates and lights up the LED light , when connecting to the PC the same thing it vibrates and then lights the LED light but does not recognize the unit if anyone is having the same problem or have experienced the same problem any help is welcome , thanks!
obs : Stock ROM without root and installed recovery .
Hi all,
I have accident on sea where one wave splashed a bag where my phone was. After small problems with "laggy" buttons everything went fine and my phone worked correctly except power button. It doesn't react. I couldn't even restart the phone. And when my battery was used I coudnt turn it on. I tried to press volume up + power button million times, or all 4 buttons, and somehow I manage to turn it on again while still I was on vacation. Few times I have entered Android recovery screen, and Power button worked perfectly there (I managed to press power button and select reboot device). And after the phone turn on power button would usually works few minutes and then it would died again.
I have installed software for simulation of power button and it worked ok. This morning somehow I decided to turn off my phone, and I couldn't even imagine what kind of problems I will have to turn it on again. Whole day I am trying to turn it on, but it doesn't react. When I pull in charger then it shows regularly battery status (70%). I am desperate :crying:
I am trying to google or find any solution how to bring it ON again without power button, but without success
Is there any way how could I turn Samsung galaxy S6 Edge Plus without power button?
And what you think, is this some kind of software problem, and maybe some factory reset or flashing might help? Or it is more likely hardware problem?
Many thanks in advance.
Can anyone help me?
I have just found this article which might help me:
How to turn ON Galaxy S6 without using the power button:
When the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge is turned off, press and hold the volume button for a few seconds.
While holding the volume button, connect the Galaxy to a computer using a USB cable.
Wait for your phone to boot to Download mode.
Then press down on the volume rocker to cancel the operation.
After the operation has canceled, the Galaxy will reboot and turn on.
You have successfully turned on the Galaxy S6 without using the power button.

But somehow this doesn't work for my phone? First I wasnt sure which volume button should be pressed, so I tried with both in all combinations and still cant get into Download mode.
But I am glad that samsung had created some workaround if power button is not working. THis used to work on older models I guess.
Is there anyone who might know the way how to turn on phone without power button?
