Hi all my pb is I need to replace camera sensor of my gt-i9505 (exmor r) with the one of i9500(exmor rs) to have best quality.
but when I do that the sensor is not known by my phone so how to fix that plz
I'd think you would need to also change camera firmware as well as camera sensor. No idea how though.

Yes I think too . But the solution is ?
I'm sure its not going to work.... I9500 runs an exynos processor so all the hardware is set at system files made for that processor and motherboard I'd imagine. If it was as simple as that I would see people exchanging their sensors on worse phones with a better one. I could be wrong though. Good luck!

Only noticed this today. The rattle noise seem to come from the upper side of the device, maybe the camera or the sim card area.
I've searched a bit on the net, and saw that the nexus 4 and original Optimus G also suffer from this problem...

Yes it does. They all do. I believe it's a sensor inside the camera. It's supposed to move.

ok so then its not cause i have the vs980 honestly no phone should have loose parts id take it back if you can and see if you have the same problem?
Its the optical image stabilization that is shaking i can confirm it all devices that have this shake!
Mine does. It is very soft and faint. Its the OIS. In all variants.
Yup. Normal. Every camera phone I've every owned does this. I have the VS980 Verizon. It's the camera sensor. It's normal.

I have the Sprint version and it does not rattle no matter what plane I shake it in and no matter how hard or soft I shake it. If it is normal to rattle than I guess I have the broken one. However, I am NOT taking it back for one that does rattle.
My gnex rattle really bad. Lg g2 not. Yes it s camera but I think is rather focus particle than ois
alright yea i can confirm it... it makes a very feint sound i couldnt really hear at first due to backround noise haha sorry if i caused confusion

For me turning off the night stabilisation mode & setting auto flash made it better in low light places. Can't say I've had any issues with daylight photos.

maybe different setting
and maybe problem with ur variant and will solve by an update
and also it can be hardware problem in last step IF u become sure no software problem
so
1. play with settings
2. search for other users that exactly in same firmware with u and compare photo ...
3. if u find any different (bad quality in urs) try to flash another stock rom (from another regions)
4. if nothing change take it for service to check lens
:good:

The camera has Jeckel and Hyde characteristics.Outdoor shots are superb for a smartphone but when you venture indoor or at night,it takes pretty awful photos.Smart Stabalisation brightens things up and limits noise but you lose all detail. If you crop in, faces and objects look like cartoon drawings. There is only so much you can do with a small sensor so I think the N3 needs a dedicated night mode and better software.don't hold your breath though.Samsung will fix this issue up but only when the N4 arrives with their isocell technology.
If you want decent photos at night you need to use the flash but the flash doesn't work well past 10 ft.
I noticed that when I went to my camera app it constantly crashed. When I restarted my nexus 4 it opened however only showed the front facing camera. There seems to be no "Switch camera" option when I held my finger down only other options like "HDR" "More options" and "Exposure".
Could this be a software or hardware problem :/
Have you tried changing the software? That way you can determine it for yourself...

By changing the software you mean using other apps? Well l used "Google Goggles" and it still used the front camera rather than the back
No, by software I meant use another ROM.

ah right, yeah i tried that dont see much of a difference, would the camera MOD help?
It would depend on which Mod. I always suggest making a Nanroid and then try flashing several Camera mods till you find on what works to your liking.

The camera is rather annoying on this device.
Camera MODs will improve the camera; It focuses faster, removes the "lag" in the viewfinder and massively improves the AI mode. Unfortunately, the "painted" effect is still there when you zoom in but it does make a noticeable difference.
Shame, because the camera is the only thing letting this device down.
Here's the mod that I applied - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548974
I couldn't get any of the files to work but the dev recently posted this test version which worked for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48688463&postcount=703
