Hi all! Walked into the lake with my phone in the rear pocket - doh! Here is what I did so far ...
1. Turned off
2. Removed battery
3. Disassembled phone
4. Dried it out
5. Cleaned all the components with isopropyl
6. Put in a new battery
Turns on fine
Goes into d/l mode
I can flash firmware to it via Odin
Will NOT boot
Will NOTgo into recovery
I have tried various stock firmwares from Samobile - they all do the same thing - see pictures below.

ANY firmware I try does this after Odin is "Successful" Blue writing says " Recovery Booting ... but it just sits there.
Any ideas? It is a stock Rogers phone but I don't mind using any Firmware ion any network if I can get it up and running - I'll just unlock it later.
Thanks!
Also, can I try to re-partition it using a .pit file? I've only ever used Odin for flashing firmware. Where can I get .pit files, can't seem to find them anywhere.

Hi you are still in download mode have you tried to flash new firmware
I can't using odin 1.7 it will prompt failed.
ok try press volume up and hold the power tell me what happens
It is the same pic as stated. I plug in the charger and it is still the same pic.
do you get failed while flashing firmware threw odin if yes can you tell me what firmware you were on before flashing and what firmware you are trying to flash now reason i ask as i was trying to downgrade firmware i had same problem, so i had to flash the latest firmware and it worked
I was on the P1000DXJK2 at first. I'm trying to flash P1000DXJM4. At first it was successful from the odin 1.7 but when boot up it stayed at the samsung screen. Maybe i need to flash the dbdata.
yeah that could be the problem, put dbdata in pda, no pit
Where can I downlaod dbdata for this firmware P1000DXJM4.
Ok. Thanks bro I managed to get it back. Thousand thanks.

As title states, a friend of mine asked me to try and fix his S1, first of all I boot to download mode (both 3 key & JIG work), and flash a few ROMS in ODIN, but the same thing, it stuck in boot screen, I tried bit 3 files & PIT, with repartition and without, nothing. Also I can't boot into recovery mode, I then open the device to check for any corrosion, but it's clean as a baby ass, then I disconnect the internal battery and connect back, but still no news, also it do charge the battery but not show it on the screen :
CHARGE:

hmm which Roms did you flash? Have you tried a Stock Rom? Or put the battery out for a few hours and then try again. Does the battery have enough power? happend to me one time xD
I flashed only stock GB ROMS, the battery indeed have enough power (the phone not boot, but the charging functionality are still in tact, I double checked it with a multimeter), I also cant be sure if there is a problem with the internal memory as it not boot pass the opening screen.
maybe there a safemode? or a fastboot solutions? I tried to repartitions an uSD card to 2GB EXT4 + FAT32 the left space, then flash wit ODIN, but it no write any data on the uSD...
Hello there ,
using Odin 3.09, this rom G900FXXU1ANG2_G900FDBT1ANG2_DBT, on a G900F i always get this error at the end:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After that i just flash TWRP and it boots fine, but that cant be right. It was suggested to me to flash stock because my "/dev/block/mmcblk0p25 " partition seems to be broken. That flash should fix some problems that i got with flshing some roms and missing apks.
I hope someone can help me out!

Your Odin write is obstensibly failing due to incorrect partition parameters.
You need to flash a PIT file concurrently with your firmware image to resolve the error.
Locate the correct PIT file for your phone (there is an XDA thread)
Do not close the Odin window after the failed write
Remove your phone battery and USB cable for 10 seconds
Press and hold the home button, volume down and power button until the screen turns on
Confirm that the screen indicates that you are in Odin (download) mode
Connect your USB cable to your phone again
Start with your current settings as in your screen shot
Add the PIT file to the PIT line
Check the Re-partition box
Press Start
Do not interrupt the write until Odin indicates Pass (success)

ohhh thank you will try that
Edit:
Just had to reset the whole phone but it seems to be working now

Hi,
I'm new to android and recently rooted my Galaxy S7 Edge AT&T Snapdragon and now I want to unroot and return to stock but I'm having trouble.
To begin, I can't access recovery mode anymore. I get a message in the top left corner of the screen that says something about "custom rom blocked". I tried to follow instructions I found on XDA on how to unroot and return to stock. I downloaded the files and used Odin to flash it, it begins to do something and then gives me an error.
What am I doing wrong or how do I fix it? I apologize if I'm not explaining this the greatest, like I said I'm new to this and don't understand it much. All I want to do is wipe the root and return to stock. All help is greatly appreciated!

If Your phone works then try this ^
If Your phone is dead then post the log from Odin.
Thanks for the help! I tried it multiple times and it says each time "uninstallation failed". Could it be the issue I'm having with the recovery image?

I don't think so, but I guess that the best thing You can do right now is to just reflash the whole phone with Odin, but since You get errors in Odin I need to see the log.
I successfully unrooted last night using these instructions and the files provided. I don't know if it'll work for you though.
Instructions: https://stockromupdate.com/how-to-flash-stock-rom-samsung-smartphone/
Files: https://stockromupdate.com/2016/08/...galaxy-s7-edge-sm-g935fd-6-0-1-g935fxxu1apgf/
Note: Make sure you ignore the Home_CSC file AND the Pit tab in Odin. Never touch "Pit" unless you know what you're doing. And also note that the ROM provided might not be the one developed for your country, but it should work fine.
I have been using one of the Lineage 14,1 versions of android lately and today I wanted to return to stock Lolipop using Odin. Unfortunately about half way through I got write error so I tried again and got another write error probably at the same time. Now the flashing doesn't want to even start and I get various error messages in Odin. The latest one is "There is no PIT partition. "
Obviously I cannot boot now I can only enter download mode.
Any ideas?

After numerous attempts, various cables, different usb ports I cleaned usb ports on my original cable and it was a full success.:good:
Glad you got it working.
I recommend using Odin 3.07 and higher in future.

Well I tried 5-6 different versions of Odin before I settled with 3, 1,85.
