Hi all
How can I change the call screen with the green color annoying little man?
I know there are apps in playstore but I don't want to appear something above the stock call screen, just to color different the call screen, is there any way?
I'm on stock 4.4.2 rooted of course
Someone talked about incallui.apk, is this true? Do I need to de-apk this and re-apk it?

Well that's a bit vague. But I presume that you are talking about the default (place holder) image that appears for calls /callers that do not match a customized contact.
I have no idea if anyone has made an app that would let you edit this. But if you are rooted, you could indeed replace the icon in incallui.apk

It's unclear what you mean. Make a screen shot and point out the part you are referring to.
If it isn't something that is incorporated into the standard Android settings, then it would require a custom modification. This is referred to as theming. Icons are not difficult to replace, but changing colours and layouts can be.
So first clarify what you are talking about.
You will probably end up needing to search for existing themes that suit your taste.
Or you can learn how to theme it yourself.
It would be an esoteric request, so don't expect that a themer necessarily has time to make an unique custom theme for each and every member in this forum.

I m talking about this screen when calling or receiving a call
Black or something other than this "ancient" green and blue buttons
I dont mind much about the "guy" (which I know is the contact photo), though I dont mind learning where I can change this too
Not in a certain contact, just to replace the general contact photo with the guy!

Apapapa. I would think that a Greek would celebrate "ancient" tradition more.
You wish to theme the dialer - change the standard OS colours used there. So a search of XDA for themed S5 dialers would be in order. If you want an all black theme, that is called inverted or perhaps transparent (which would let a black wallpaper fill the background).
Alternately, you could install the new Google 4.4 dialer.
Or if you'd like to learn how to theme yourself, search for some theming tutorials. There is a bit of a learning curve.. but if you are stubborn, you'd pick it up fast enough.

Where are you from mate? This "apapa" reminds me of Greece
The photo that I ve sent is the calling or receiving a call screen, my dialer is already themes since I started using exdialer, so no prob with the dialer!

I found out through searching that I need to edit the incallui.apk, so I ll try to get around and find more tutorials for theming and decompiling apk!

Most people would theme all of the call components. Not just incallui, which we already talked about. But also the dialer. And contacts too for that matter. Attention to detail, not just the one screenshot that you posted.
I don't recall you mentioning that your dialer was already themed and was encouraging you to theme all of the call packages.

couple things, I don't want it at the top level exactly because I do reside here and so posted here for conversation related to the redesign, with other HD2 owners. capiche?
Oh and secondly mr wannabe mod, if you don't like it here, move it. Or delete it, I don't care either way. About the same way I feel about you or what you have to say at this point.
I prefer fixed width of the forum i.e 960px or 850px!

No offence guys (not my business I know), but how old are you? 5? You supposed to be working in making things better for all, not fight for nothing at all...
It is a nice template, maybe should try more black than brown (just my opinion), format looks perfect...

First of all the skin is really nice but with my HD2 it is worse to navigate than before.

I would like to bring this to our device. Most of the Android Icons are already made, and if there is any needed I can make them.
Since I'm fairly new to Android I'm not sure how to go about changing the icons. Could someone with more knowledge on this PM me or guide me a little?
Then I will try to get this started.

i'd contact http://twitter.com/JaiThemes about this. they make nice themes. looking forward to your theme!
Look for instructions on how to create themes in metamorph... this is typically the easiest way to to theme edits...

Any chance you can share the icons you've already made? I don't think compiling a metamorph theme is that difficult and I'm sure someone would be up for it.
In the mean time, there is an app called "Desktop Visualizer" in the market that allows you to use custom icons for apps..takes some time since you have to do each individually, but it works great!

All the icons can be found in the link in the OP. There are some just for Android and or you can get the entire pack which may have more Android Icons. Also there is a template for making your own icons.
Yes I hope someone will make a theme with these. I just don't have the time right now.

Looking for a pink theme for the wifes phone. Anyone that can point me in the direction of a compatible pink theme for Nils' Business GingerSense 3.0 (8/11/11 V1.6)?
Wife absolutely loves the rom, just loooking for a lil pink for her.
Post your framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and com.htc.resources.apk and I can whip one up for you. One of them might be too big for XDA, just post it to mediafire or something

Oh darn, my secret is out
I've also been using Nils' Business Gingersense 1.6, and while I don't need the full pink theme you've made here, I was wondering how I could go about modifying some of the icons he has in the ROM...specifically the ones on the status bar.
I had used the kitchen to swap out a few icons, particularly the usb debugging icon that pops up when I connect the dinc to the computer, but I feel like other icons didn't take.
First I used the G7 HD Sense pack, and then subsequently tried the P7 Honeybread notification power icon set, thinking I had to use a different set to cover the icons that tend to be on the right side of the status bar.
I've attached a screenshot showing 2 of the colored icons currently in use by the ROM, as well as some of the ones from the kitchen which is what I'd like to use (typically monochrome, simple icons).
Basic issue: why are some of these icons not being replaced even after I flash an UOT kitchen file, and how can I go about fixing this?

Well, let's see... your post started out ok, until along about half-way, until the point where you broke XDA rules.
Let's see how long it last's, until you edit your post, the Mods see it, or some of the resident female users see it.
Regardless, you cannot ask about a theme, as themes are Rom and build specific. In easy redneck terms, square pegs go in square holes.
Example: If I create a theme for say ver 3.2 xxxx.buildCom_Gen1 systemUI.apk, you cannot flash it on Ver3.1 xxxxxbuildEMEA_TMPL. Won't work, or at the least, you will have very strange issues.
Your best bet, is to contact one of the rom builders, and politely ask if they can do this for your specific rom. Also, you will have to be rooted.

You could not just ask for a theme with a background of a attractive woman on it.OR Cheerleader for the team . Even that me reading my Sentence above sounds a bit out of line toward women .This is not the farm.Women are not drug around by there hair here.We demand to get the respect we deserve.

Nah.... would be too easy.
The funny things, is I believe one of Civato's rom is the exact color theme, and that would just leave a quick photoshop layer of the team logo on the required wallpaper.

HA HA. When you get an unsolicited PM's, containing the "f" word several times, well, you get the picture on who you're dealing with. And especially when they have absolutely nothing to do with the work you have done, or the work of others. Just random.
XDA has rules. Quite frankly, I don't think a lot of people bother to read them. However, one specifically states about offensive language. Sure, toss the colorful metaphors at me, and I'll just delete and block.
But to post what was posted, well, XDA has users of all types, and they shouldn't be subjected to reading such garbage. Especially from a site which is designed to assist people. Not to look for "b_tches"
Maybe the language is accepted in "some" people's culture. Usually relegated to some backwoods uneducated class, or the socially illiterate.

I am planning to make a tutorial for voxis setup by coldfustion. Voxis will make your phone look WOW!! I saw video of this guy Coldfustion on youtube..He's just awesome! Not sure if he's on xda too. Search for voxis setup by Coldfustion on youtube..
The main profit of this thread will be other member's creation and innovation work..i.e.everyone will suggest a new idea. I designed a new custom widget for my phone that looks pretty awesome So every member can share their work/idea here. Please note that a video tutorial is there on youtube by coldfustion itself.. the main purpose of this thread will be that every member can share their ideas and innovations. My phone is far more beautiful than my friends Note2.
So if its useful than I will create a noob guide for this setup with all requirements and apps needed for it.. since there are many members here who likes trolling other members, I thought it will be good to ask u people first. Or else my whole effort and time will be ruined by some kind of trolling and nasty comments.

Themer app gives u pre designed themes which are designed by themers..whereas in voxis, everthing is user defined (from widgets to icons)..u can customize the way u want
Really don't know what theme apps u talking about my color screen is full of that stuff u taking about.

Ya I agree..voxis is a homescreen style but didn't knew its available in colorscreen too..It took me whole day to setup that style then the colorscreen came and everything changed!!

Dude u still didn't got me..colorscreen don't give u bunch of customization option..kindly see my attached screenshots..u can notice the difference..some of the things that I did,u can't even imagine to do in colorscreen app.
