I have Froyo on a non rooted nexus is here a way to unlock and root it it I have been trying but it will not recognize the bootloader. please help .
Thank You
You can unlock it using fastboot, just like you could in 2.1, as far as I know.
From there, flash a different recovery, then use something like this quick rooter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686627
First of all, wrong forum.
Second of all, you're smart enough to figure out how to put an official firmware that's not released yet on your phone. So please use the search or read the forum stickies.

First of all I did not asked to be flamed just needing help If I made a mistake I am sorry but I thought this was a friendly helpful community or are you the bad apple ?
If you read the forum more, you'll find threads similar to this one, if you don't search no one will help you, especially for this very easy question you're asking.
1. Click on the Nexus One Q&A sub forum, that forum is for asking questions and getting answers.
2. There's a sticky, 3rd one down, it's titled "***Informative Links*** - Read before clicking "New Thread"". Click that, you should get to here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618768
3. Right there on top, 2nd link is "Root the Nexus one Tutorial" with the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612858 Click it.
4. Follow to the directions. If you have issues, ask in that thread.
Helpful enough? LOL

Hmm seems I am not permitted to post outside links in this forum yet, I was trying to post the link for you to root your phone...which is in this forum..??..
..anyway go to this guide:
Newbies Guide to Rooting X10 and giving you the newest firmware!
It looks a lot more complicated than it actually is
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
I have successfully rooted my x10 mini pro by using SuperOnClick on this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682. It's so simple, after downloading the SuperOnClick, execute the program. With your USB debugging checked, connect your phone to your pc. Wait for a little while and there you go, your DONE! Your now ready to install apps like link2sd, setCPU, system apps remover and many more...
Many many thanks to XDA developers, to Sir CLShortFuse for the SuperOneClick
MORE POWER!
Couple of things:
Wrong forums,
This is last-century well known information, and,
There are already guides out there on how to root this device, ones that are much more detailed (not to discourage).
or...
Well done man!
Please don't qoute me wrong
I'm just excited for what I did to my phone. I'm sorry if I started a a wrong topic. Perhaps, moderator may want to delete it and it's okay with me...

Not sure why you didn't refer to XDA thread directly, sub linked off your link
OP please search before creating a new thread, Thanks.
The bootloader on the OPPO Reno Z is unfortunately fully locked the only way to root would be through exploiting the recovery mode's update script or through some other form of exploit, but no unfortunately there is no way to root the Reno Z as of now.
That's sooo sad because it's a really amazing phone.
With root could be one of the best on the market (at this price).
Always fingers cross for an exploit ;p

the raw potential this phone will have with a custom rom is going to be insane
BUT... first and last time I buy OPPO! Update are ridiculous!
They just notify their "QUOTE" update release on Twitter and basically only to India/Asian countries...
That's huge discrimination...
Old thread, but I've found a guide and it directly links to a build of TWRP that says it's for the Reno Z. Should I bite the bullet and see if it works?
P.S. Magisk and DM-verity don't need to be compiled for specific devices, do they? Also will orange-state be much of a problem?

Did you manage to root the device? If not I was wonder if you received the Android 10 update that was supposed to be released last month.
Any news about how to root this device?
(I did receive the Android 10 update btw)
