A dimmed Red LED stays on all the time on my Galaxy S4. If i turn the phone off it still stays on until i pull the battery out and as soon as i put the battery back in the Red LED turns back on. It's not bright red like when you connect the charger, its dimmed down. I almost sure this is a hardware issue but not sure exactly where and i no longer have warranty. (notes: screen is cracked from the bottom near the home button, not other damages) Any one have had this issue?
Thank you!

Hey guys
This morning I woke up and both LEDS were on my phone, blue and green. I unplugged the phone and the leds stayed on. They change colors, red orange green blue goes to yellow or something.
What is going on? I tried pulling the battery out, as SOON as the phone is on this starts happening, I fear its a hardware problem.
Thanks
Joe
i recieved this with a smashed digitizer, changed that and then powered up the pda turned on but the digitizer didnt work, it could be the lcd or digitizer, i know all connections are fine. but now the main problem is that now it only shows a red light and wont turn on, i think the battery was dead but it still had some power to turn it on, now it wont turn on at all and only brings a red light when plugged in. I have a very high expierence with these and have never had any problems, would any body be able to help me please? thanks
At the top of the phone you have what i thought were 2 lights, the left turning amber when charging and green when fully charged, when the phone is on normal standby i thought it flashed periodically, does it cos mine does not? secondly the other side which is a 'light sensor' but i thought this went blue when bluetooth was activated, again mine does not, my phone is Brand new with 6.5 preinstalled, is my phone faulty? i am sure on previous HTC models the right side was a 'blue light' so to clarify when my phone is in normal 'standby' there are NO lights, the only lights are on the left side which go amber when charging and solid green when fully charged and flashes green when there is a missed call or sms, the right side appears just to be a 'sensor' Is this all correct.
Any clarification will be much appreciated.
Thanks
GD
On the left you have a LED, which behaves in the way you wrote, except for the fact that it flashes when you have a missed call or a new message, not during normal stand-by. On the right is a light sensor which, of course, will never flash nor become blue when bluetooth is active.
I have an N9005 that I bought second hand just under a year ago. It's running the Phronesis 4 ROM. About a week ago a one pixel wide bright pink line appeared intermittently down the right-hand side. It looks like this (only bright freaking pink): http://forums.androidcentral.com/at...-bright-line-being-shown-display-p1070045.jpg
Today I was playing Fallout Shelter (always makes my phone pretty warm and eats battery). 15% battery warning comes up so I take it to charge. I notice the screen doesn't turn on. There is a momentary flash of dim colour at the top, but otherwise the screen is completely black. I tried pushing the power button several times, but all it did was a momentary flash of dim colour at the top but still black each time.
I took the battery out for a bit, then put it on to charge. The on screen charging display did not appear (stayed black) but after a bit the LED lit up to indicate charging as it would after the screen display turns off. I left it for a while and eventually the screen started working again (99% charge when I checked). I was then able to boot like normal.
However a while later the screen would not turn on again (just the momentary dim flash of colour at the top before black). I didn't do anything with it in this time. It just sat in standby before I tried using it again. The back button and hamburger menu buttons are not seemingly lighting up either. But the led works fine with notifications. I tested calling my phone and it rings fine - if I slide accept the call where it is normally on the screen, I can accept calls and talk like normal. But the screen remains black. So clearly the digitizer works fine.
I have tried taking out the battery for a long period of time, taking the battery out and discharging the remaining power by holding the power button (5 minutes), I have tried taking the phone apart and cleaning the display connector with some isopropyl alcohol and firmly reattaching. Screen is still black.
Is this a problem with a malfunctioning LCD or could it be something like the GPU? I don't want to pay $150-$250 for a replacement screen assembly only to find that it's some other problem
Thanks in advance!
I would suggest to get a new device.

I prefer to repair rather than replace unless I have absolutely no other choice, thanks.
from flashing blue led & black unresponsive screen -> no led & phone not powering on
Hi,
I was charging my s7edge and when i returned, i found it to have a blinking blue/purple led light. After 10hrs since I saw it like that, the LED finally stopped -- presumably because no more charge is left in the battery (though it was around 90% when I put it to charge). Now it doesnt even turn on, and there's no led coming on at all. What's wrong and how do I proceed from here?
Thanks
