Hi guys
I'm having a problem with my APN settings,
I'm losing my network connection because of my APN settings,
Phone doesn't remember those settings even when I set them manually. I'm on 3uk network,
Is there any chance to set APN values somewhere in the build.prop list?

thanks for the settings lads but it still says my data connection is disconnected? Any ideas?
Make sure you use the correct APN, sometimes PAYG APN's are different from contract ones.

Maybe check if something's happened to the APN settings / if they have been disabled?
Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Network Settings
What am I looking for? I havent changed anything?

Sounds like a network issue, you need to call your carrier.

well .. if your phone didn't need any additional configuration for APN during your very first use, then I guess, as princeasi just mentioned, you might have to check with your network operator for help..
the reason why i told tht you might have to define the APN settings is because, for me, I had to manually add the APN, username /password in order to get access to my carrier's data network ...
maybe you could browsing on this link: http://modmyi.com/wiki/index.php/Carrier_APN_Settings#Italian_Networks
for APN settings..
that link is meant to help configure iPhone APN settings (Android has a lot more parameters to define) .. but the details shud still work with your NexS
(for eg. all settings for my carrier were the same as what were already on my phone by default.. the only thing i had to configure manually was the u/name, password and APN name)
Hope that helps...
I let it auto reconfigure everything and it came back .. not sure what happened

Just want to share, and correct me if i'm wrong,
I think, if u want to disable ur mobile data connection, but just want to enable MMS, if u just select apn type to just mms, It doesnt work;cant receive n send mms.
If u rename apn name for data as something, data still enabled.
So, for apn type, I change it to "mms," with no quote (note that mms word with comma), I manage to enable mms n disable data.
At least, it work for me, gt-i9000 stock xxjvu rom , galaxian kernel., carrier=celcom (malaysia).
So can some re confrm this? Or have any explanation on this?

When I first popped in my AT&T sim card, it populated a single wap.cingular apn that worked fine for data and MMS. Dependent on your location and the network, this apn may not give you the best data speeds for your area. There are other apns you could try if so.
Howdy fellas,
I used to have HotSpot on my "stock" phone before then I updated my phone to KitKat and I had totally forgot about the HotSpot setting.
So I need your help. I rather not root my phone but if thats the only choice I have to get HotSpot unlimited data then that's fine.
So this is what I have
Under Access Point Names
-APN -> fast.t-mobile.com
MCC -. 310
MNC - 260
APN type - default,mms,supl,hipri,fota,dun
APN protocol -> IPv4
and I'm using HotSpot Toggle widget
I have all these settings for it to work but it hasn't. If I have left anything out I'll provide the info needed to get this working.
Carrier is T-Mobile and its Note 3
thanks
bump

First, please make sure your APN settings is correct by checking the connection to the Internet.
If you are not sure about APN settings, you should ask your service provider (or your mobile operator)
Once you can access to the Internet using this APN, you can easily active the hotspot.
