Hi everyone,
I'm trying to flash my tablet in order to get the calling option; but the problem is that when I turn it off to install its drivers on my pc, and when I connect it to the usb cable and the cable to the pc, the tablet's logo immediately appears and goes to the charging screen and this way I can't install its drivers. Does anyone have any ideas how I can solve this problem?

After upgrading to ICS I've been unable to connect my pad to the PC. This is usually not a problem, but last night I needed adb to re-root it. Nothing worked, nothing connected. Tried installing drivers and the Asus sync, but no luck.
Is this a known problem? Anyone got a solution? I doubt it's the hardware as I connected a few days before upgrading...
Found a solution. Went into Settings->Storage and turned MTP off and back on.

THANK YOU! Everytime I plug in my ET4G to the dock to charge it that stupid MTP crap always comes up. Had no idea I could disable it. Thanks!
yeah, this doesn't always help... I had the same problem when i first got my TF101, and i tried all the tricks, the one mentioned here with mtp, enabling and desabling debug mode, turning off and on with usb plugged in, and some others i can't remember... nothing.
In case anyone else is looking for the answer and the quick tips don't work, what did it for me was installing Android Revolution HD rom. I've read that this problem could also be bootloader related.

How to connect an ICS device to your computer
Step 1. Connect device to computer via USB
Step 2. Set USB connection as Media Device (MTP) (p.s. if you use a Mac you need to download Android File Transfer)
Step 3. Disable USB debugging if enabled

when you need turn off MTP it mean your computer doesn't have driver.
If you need using MTP go to asus page and download driver. it's easy to install driver ^^...
recently I can't understand why same file but the computer at my office can't install that file instead other computers working normal... maybe my work place using old windows version...
Like I wrote earlier - mine was actually in MTP mode, but I had to switch to camera mode and back to MTP for it to start working. Thanks for the replies, though. Hopefully it will help some other people with the same problems
So I've installed CM10 but it gets stuck on the bootlogo. For some reason my device seems to have a faulty USB port as I've been able to previously connect via ADB but the computer now doesn't recognize the device simply giving me "Error 43". The recovery menu also hangs up at the google/padlock screen.
Is there any way to fix this?
If it can't be fixed should I return this to Google based on the USB port is broken which would allow me to fix all the software issues?
Hello! I have a major problem. After flashing back to stock, my phone suddenly cannot connect to the pc at all. Once I plug in the cable the phone auto restarts and is stuck in a bootloop until I remove the cable. It also doesn't charge if connected to the charger. Any ideas on how to fix this?
More info regarding this case. Phone is an lg d802 32gb model. Reverted to stock from cloudyg3 rom. Right now I cannot access download mode as the phone auto restarts once I plug it in the pc. Tried with 2 diff pcs but the same problem.

Try changing the usb cable.
Hi, I tried 3 diff cables but it still has the problem. Also, I think the cables are not the problem as those cables do work for my other phone (both in charging and connecting to pc). This is a really weird issue. Anyone else experience this?
I have the same problem, phone restarts when connect to pc, if you connect and disconnect several times the usb cable, sometimes it works, you can try this to access your phone, turn it off, connect usb cable, and the power off, sometimes it work for me, also to charge the phone.

At first, I know that the problem of stuck boot animation is common and there are already a lot of topics about it, but here I have some particularities that create a really bigger problem.
The problem started when my Nexus 4 stopped to connect to any pc, I tried more than 5 computers, diferent drivers, 3 cables, changed my rom, tried to connect in recovery, fastboot and anything find my phone, it just charges...
Then I decided to buy this USB port replacement:

After the replace, the phone won't turn on anymore, stay always on the boot animation of chroma rom, I tried to wipe cache and data, restore previous backup, factory reset and reinstall the rom, put back the old USB port, nothing worked.
The possible good point is that, with the new USB port, my computer detect a device when I plug the phone in bootloader mode (this wasn't happening with the old USB port), but I can´t get in ADB mode.
Help me please guys!

I had a problem with security boot and after patching wrong "aboot.bin" it doesn't work Currently when i'm trying to turn it on, it only vibrates and nothing else happen. When I plug in the USB and connect it to the PC, phone also vibrates but isn't detected. When i put the battery off and connect the charger or usb it shows screen about not battery plugged.
Please help me and explain how to make it detected again.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do at this point.. If you are still under warranty, just return the phone, they will probably change its motherboard or just change the phone itself. I have also been in the same situation as you, I tried everything, but nothing worked..

Can you get into the download mode? Vol + and then plug a cable into your phone
And i have same problem,but no one dont know how to resolve this...
