Please can anyone help me fix this, the stock video app tells me unfortunately video has stopped anytime i try to open it. If i open a video from a file explorer or from quick pic it would work but for the past 2 days it doesnt even work at all even if i do it that way. Ive cleared the cache and even data but still no luck. I dont want to have to factory reset cos of that. Im using the s5 g900H rooted with xposed installed.
Any help would be duely appreciated. Thanks

When i ever i get that error its because the video is corrupt and it means its not fully downloaded or has problems.another reason can be that the video extension isnt supported by the video player just try another video player to open the video if that works then thats the reason why its not working in sammy video player. ?
The videos play in vlc and other media players but not on stock video player cos the stock video player does not open at all. When i try to open it i get the error message "unfortunately video has stopped".
Good day all......I used many roms like s5,hyperion 8,9,chobits digital,cm11,..but all the roms except Hyperion 9 have same problem.I have to to install mx player and codec to get it working.so the problem is that,if I first install mx player it installs properly..and when go for installing codec it says 'app not installed'.the same happens when I install mx codec and the mx player doesnt install.
Great news is they both install correctly only on Hyperion9 (only 9 not 8)Rom.
I opened it and started playing movie "Edge of tommorrow"560p(Great movie) I havent even played for half a minute and mx player closes itself without warning or anything...then played a 144p small video same things happens but it stays a minute.even if I got to settings it happens...same.
here what I tried;

am too on hyp-9, and use mx player (not pro) with codec and it works good

mx player says application not installed...only pro installs..

Are you installing it from the playstore
You are going to have a big problem if you are not
The codec gets updated along with the main programme and will only install if both versions match
Uninstall both the main programme and the codec and install from the playstore
The correct codec is armv6
From memory do not use armv6 with neon

No luck....same thing player gets installed and codec doesnt or reverse.I used free version with codec in s5 reincacination(as the pro wasnt getting installed)....both install but says *internal files doesnt support this version of mx player* and in hyperion the free version doesnt get installed...and one more thing....in s5 rom the app installed only when installed from package install and not from verify and install...tried in other roms but same problem...

If you have problems with verify the most likely cause is problem with gapps
Flash the correct gapps via cwm with system mounted
Note if it bootloops you will have to format data (I advise formatting data before flashing anyway)

"UNABLE TO PLAY VIDEO" from Gallery on S5-g900h rooted with Aj's S7 Edge S7 ROM
hello everyone,
I am using [ROM][G900H]Aj's S7 Edge FULL Port V1.9[Full S7 Edge Port] 30/07/16, there are many problems in the ROM but the one i really want to be solved is that, whenever i click video songs from my gallery it shows an error " unable to play video" . i have mxplayer and VLC player installed in phone. I did everything i could like clearing defaults, clearing cache and data of "Gallery" but nothing working. I have to play songs directly from mxplayer or VLC player, not frm the gallery. I removed the stock video player by titanium backup app but i dont think that could be the reason for it. I had stock rom and [ROM][G900H]XtreStoLite RL v2.5[STABLE][JULY 12, 2016] and removed stock player from these and i was able to play videos from gallery ,why cant i now!!
I am on Manta CM13 Snapshot (December 2016).
While trying to play flac music file, built in music player shows this error:
an unknown error has occured: 1
Tried reflashing the same build
Tried clearing dalvik and cache from TWRP
Tried clearing music and dfx player cache + data
Nothing!
VLC and Kodi play the flac file without problems...
Is flac support not included or is something else wrong!
This is a brand new N10 with clean flashed CM13 Snapshot!
Is anyone having issues using video on their camera and on the oreo beta? I didnt test video out before upgrading to oreo, but I am unable to record video with the stock camera app or the google camera apk. Is anyone on oreo and able to use video? Photos works no fine, wondering if its the beta or my device.
The stock camera app gives the following error when trying to record:
"could not start recording please make sure there is no other recording application"
The google apk just crashes ad says:
"Unable to connect to camera"

When you try to record in the Google camera app it cannot record and you cannot use the stock app anymore until a reboot. Just do a reboot and don't use the Google cam app on Oreo. it is too buggy.
