Open any rom in zip format (flashable in CWM) extract and open semcAudio.apk(walkman), semcVideo.apk(Pictures), semcAlbum(Album). This install apps to /data.

Hi, i'm Franco, from Argentina, and, i'm new at the forum, as you can see, *the rest of the boring intro i'm gonna skip it*
I don't want to bother with an stupid question, but im really a newbie with this SP stuff...
My noob question is... How can i install the froyobread rom? (as seen on the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463), looking that the files, are all updates, not the system (AS I CAN SEE). I'm allready rooted, with the xrecovery and all, but i'm stuck with this.
And an added question..., How can i update the rom? Having the base rom (older version installed).
Thanks for reading, and excuse me for my noobsness , and my bad English
1. Copy downloaded .zip to sdcard
2. In xrecovery select full wipe (factory reset), then select install custom zip => choose custom zip from sdcard => select downloaded file
Instructions is in first post in FroyoBread thread already
You can update firmware with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service), PC Companion or with FlashTool
I see that, but there is no need to be a system.img, a nanodroid.md5, or something like that?
Here i can only see 2 folders, i .rar them and pass it to the sd?
Tnks 4 the reply
No. Don't extract it. Just copy update-FroyoBread.v006.zip to sdcard and follow instructions
Many thanks pal!
Its a dream this rom...
Asking another thnig, and trying to not open another topic
There is timescape as an app to install? I read this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11904220&postcount=3
And i really dont understand a thing, if someone can help i will be very greatefull
Flash the installer zip just like you flash the ROM zip.
Many thanks to both.
Another question, if i can (REALLY SORRY), i try tu use the search, but i didnt find anything usefull.
I have my system folder full (only 52kb free), and i need that space to install the timescape from the xperia arc thread, there is something useless, in the folder to get some space?
Move your apps (not the system ones) to SD through settings->applications. And as for deleting... I've deleted mms.apk, maps.apk, street.apk and adw launcher (can't remember the name), but I already had other home and sms apps installed.
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there were any AOSP Roms out there with built-in File Managers? It sucks having to go to Google Play to download one, just to install the rest of my programs.
Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head, slim includes one.
Alternatively, You can also just use titanium to create a flashable zip of your necessary apps (requires pro version I believe)
Alternatively to that, using 7zip on pc , you can also just drag and drop whatever apk you want into the system folder of whatever gapps package you flash when you flash roms. Or you can drag and drop the apk into system or data folder of whatever rom.zip you want to flash, If you have a computer handy regularly. (I find gapps easier because I download gapps packages WAY less often.)

i'd rather just choose the rom i like then worry about some file manager.
it takes about a minute to go to play store and install es file explorer and then install titanium to recover your apps.
i agree it would be handy if every rom had a file explorer but downloading doesn't take much time.

Lol just wanted to say that but you beat me to it.
Edit: Still, I always download ES file and delete the one in the rom.
Hey
Could someone create a flashable zip to remove system apps (Google apps, games, Huawei bloatware, Facebook, Vmall etc.) and to install some apps ???
Thanks

First of all there isn't a flash zip available. Second is that it isn't that hard to remove system apps via link2sd (it's similar to uninstalling an app) and third Huawei allows user to remove some pre installed (like mirror, compass,fb,clean master and some games) apps. By the way why do you want to uninstall gapps?
I've edited Frixed debloat script for the Z5C.
It's not complete yet, as I've done a manual debloat yesterday so it probably needs some extra tweaking. Feedback is appreciated.
Will also work on any other Z5 device probably.
Installation instructions
01- Reboot or boot to TWRP
02- Flash zip
03- Wipe Cache/Dalvik
04- Enjoy your device
F.A.Q
-How are applications where the script delete?
The applications are in system/backup
-What applications "delete" your script?
Sony SMS App
Album
Video
Unnecessary camera modes
Sony Browser
Small Apps
Sony Notes
Sony Calendar
Sony Calculator
Many Google Apps
Sony Sketch
And more bloatware! (Facebook crap etc)
Many thanks to Frixed, most of this is a copy paste from the original script here.

Nice work brother !
But, if you remove album, what will happen to camera preview?
Inviato dal mio E5823 utilizzando Tapatalk
Perhaps in future we will see debloat script where you can select appi to debloated

The apps are not deleted but moved to a backup location, so you can just use a rootbrowser to move the app back.
Alternatively you can just download the album app again through the PlayStore.
Either way my camera preview still works after using the script.

You can adjust the script manually if you want, it's not difficult.
If you use the script and see non-deleted bloatware let me know, I'll adjust it.

Let me know if you find any bull**** on your phone after using the script so I can update it accordingly.
@harry_turtle hmmm... i flash the script. script is flashed with no errors, but nothing is removed.
i extract zip, removed few lines and packed again to zip (is this possible with zip archiever or do i need specific tool? )
What are the requirements for this script? Should rom be deoxed or something?

Can you give me an example of something that's not removed. I see that the path for some apps is faulty and will fix this weekend. Should still work for 90% (not album and Chrome for example)

This is how script looks like, if you find something odd from that
How do I replace the system apps on custom ROMS with apps that I would like something that has more features as system app? If yes, how can I do it as part of the zip I'm flashing. Like for example, in Invicta I would like to replace the gallery app with Sony album app that's more useful (no offence here just my preference) then what can I do to replace the app in system even before I flash the ROM that is replace on the zip?

I just download system app remover after flashing ROM. I delete all apps I don't want then flash ones I do want.

Just delete the apk in /system/app or /system/priv-app.
Then flash.
