Yes it is for intensive gaming, especially one that lasts 2hrs long.
When they say "10 hours of screen time" they mean 10 hours spread during the day, not in one go.
The phone gets hot. The battery gets hot. The warmer a Lithium battery gets, the less efficient and more rapidly discharging it becomes.

Oh ok.. I got it all wrong o.o ty so its nothing wrong on my battery

Bigger Battery

S3 really need bigger battery..custom rom, custom kernel, supercharged, still can't handle the drain while using it.. idle, perfect, 1%/4hours drop. But once u touch, scroll, open close app, browsing in 10 minutes, >10% drop..should have 2500mah like note..

lol 10 min browsing more than 10% drain..it`s too much i get like 2%drain for 10 min browsing

There is some app that drains your battery. I can easily get 5:30 on screen time with omega. I've seen others doing better. This phone has an excellent battery life, if you know how to avoid apps with bad code that drain your battery. Download better battery stats and monitor your usage. You will find the problem.

Is that custom Rom by any chance CM9?
There are larger batteries out there with twice the original's charge. They are twice the size though and make the phone really fat.
As said above, something is draining your battery. Supercharging is really bad for the battery's life btw.

V6 supercharger bad for battery life..? Hmm.. this custom rom & kernsl is by wanam.. v6 supercharger make the ram management better, hence increase battery life..the ideal is good for me. Just the cpu i need more advance control..but custom kernel out there still not bug free..

Ok sorry in that case no problem.
With some kernels you can increase charging speed and -mode

something is wrong with your phone dude. I get easily 4 hours on screen time with HEAVY use, like I'm trying to kill the battery or something. One off the apps you have installed might be killing your battery...

I find it the opposite. Very good in use not very good in idle. Mine last 5.5 - 6 hours screen on time on 3g. The idle drain however is worse than any other android device I used in the past.

It also makes it impossible to use NFC as the batteries don't have the antenna. Got an extended battery from ebay, works brilliantly power wise, 70% power still there after full day of use but no NFC....

Nexus battery life

Hey guys! So after I bought my n4, I thought of testing the battery. After playing for about 1 and a half hours, watching a 45 minute movie and browsing the Web for about one hour or maybe two, it finally died. What do you think of it?

very normal.
battery life will all depend on your setup(rom/kernel/apps), your phone signal, and your personal use. most people see between 2.5 and 4.5 hours, while a few see quite a bit more, 4-7 hours

Yeah its very normal...While consuming heavy multimedia, your n4 is sure to be dead within 3-4 hours...
I played GTA 3 with lowest resolution and it drained 10% of my battery in 20 min!
Guess what would hav happened if i maxed out the performance!!!

Impressive! 15 minutes of Asphalt 8 equals 8 % battery!

Just made this small test. I'm not really sure whether I should be happy with the result or not. It's weird though because usually my battery lasts 4h30m sot . According to this test it should last just over 3hrs gaming. What are your experiences?

Lightflow & Swapps app keeps force closing

Hello!
I have an AT&T Note 3 running on root and I've noticed that my Lightflow & Swapps app keeps automatically force closing at random times in the day.... this never happened before until I decided to root my phone, and even then, in the beginning everything was running smoothly. Any idea of what could be causing this? I am using the NOVA launcher but I wouldn't see why that would cause an issue... and on Kitkat 4.4, I'd appreciate anyone's input!
Get rid of lightflow! It just sucks up your battery!

Do you recommend an alternative app that does the same? It's never given me any battery issues.

Me personally, I recommend none because they all drain battery. How much usage do you get out of your battery before you have to charge it? I get around 1d 8hrs with moderate usage.

From what I do, it actually does last me a while but I do have to charge it when I am at work. From 9 to about 3:30p.m I have to charge it because it's at 10% due to me watching Netflixs all through my work shift, including lunch, while also texting back and forth whenever I need to. My shift ends at 5:30, so by then it's at 100% because I started charging it around 3:30p.m. On a day like the weekend, I hardly use my phone at all since I have my PC so my batter life lasts a really long time without me having to charge it by the end of the day and even then I have about 60%. On a day where I am up and about, my batter lasts me till about 40% all day until I have to charge it. I hope that makes any sense. I don't pay much attention to my battery life since all I use my phone for is netflixs while I am at work and SOMETIMES some gaming, but not all the time. I also hardly call or text anyone.

is it a right battry consumption for my s4 i9500

You can try looking at your battery to see whether it had any lump or swelling. Mine had one and it was so slight and hard to see but after replacing the battery, battery life was great again.

the thing is also that you are using a Exynos device with Octa Core Processor. i dont know the difference between battery life by that since i have the qualcomm based phone. it may use a lot more power i think (correct me if im wrong because i never used a octa core phone). i do have a extra battery as well so that im full charged for the whole day. so i dont really need to worry about battery for my daily usage. and the phone and battery were purchased last year when the phone got released here in the philippines. :good:

Hi mate,
The only way to know for sure what is going on your phone is to use an app like BBS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Let it run for a few hours and check the logs for wakelocks , works better if you are root but it will work also in nonroot devices

You have probably a wakelock.
Try changing your battery. Or flash a different rom with a different baseband.

The screens you are posting give little details.
My guess is that your battery is wearing out and you should try a new one.
