how to change language from german to english ? any tutorial?
You have to uprade ROM.
Now, you maybe have xx.GER ROM, upgrade to some xx.WWE ROM or ROM without lang specification.
Or you can install english localization. But it slows system and for exaple czech localization for WWE ROM costs 100 dollars.
Best choise is download there on xda-dev some english ROM
(WWE = world wide english)

This build is from July 15, 2009, so given how long it's been, I think WM6.1 is EOL (End Of Life'd) now - so this is probably as close to a "final" build as it comes - any further ones would likely be just a maintenance release to fix a nasty bug or two that crops up.

Hey da_g, although I still have love left in my heart for winmo. 6.1 as I have a 64 mb ram device and 6.1 still runs faster for me,plus I get more free ram (31 mb as opposed to 21 mb in 6.5).
but since build 21046, my battery drains a lot with 6.1. I get 2.5 days at average on 6.5 but barely 1 day on 6.1 So I wanted to ask do u know any particular thing that causes this? my newest 6.1 rom is based on 21051 and the battery drain is quiet heavy. Does this new build has any improvements? is there anything I can do. I have an htc p3400i (gene) with hardspl by orefkov. I use a platform rebuilder based kitchen.

I was experiencing the same issue on my Raphael, got about a day with the battery. I'm now back to about 3 days on the battery with moderate usage ... only thing I did different was RECMOD modules until SLOT0 reported empty.
If you are using Visual Kitchen 1.8.1, it generates BUILD_LOG that contain module/SLOT info ... i've assumed it to be a coincidence, but it would be intesting to see if it actually is a factor.

YES MAN only english no other language
I use this ROM on my Rose. Of course it includes French - "Français" is listed in languages. Try reading manual...

Seems you're on crack or didn't do something right.. I just flashed the UK Orange rom above & change region to Francais & to Francais (France) & restart and it *IS* in French! In case you couldn't find it do Start->Settings (Might need to do All Programs)->0 More->2 Regional Settings & change Language & Locale
Main screen says: (It takes about 1 minute after reboot for main screen text to change language but buttons & start menu changes immediately after reboot)

Note though that I cannot use this ROM myself because I get no signal on AT&T in the US & perhaps the same can happen other places. I believe the ROM is customized to disable 850/1900 bands because they are not available in the band selection list. The super odd thing is that with my SIM in I *do* show a signal & it says AT&T on initial boot after hard reset for a few seconds before the customization begins. I haven't spent the time researching for a way to undo those changes but odds are they can be removed.

someone must at last create a guide to explain how to make buckups of original roms...the only think i know is how to extract raw files...but nothing better than that.

I did the translation process manually and it worked very well.

Hello D! Great idea man. Thanks for giving us options. When shall we see this new ROM?
Sharing some thoughts with all.
IE Mobile as we all know isn't a real option. Shame on M$. I have an Opera Mobile 10 with integrated flash support thats working pretty good on my phone. Perhaps, it replaces IE very well, just lot larger in size. Aprox 6mb
Yahoo Messenger hasn't come up with anything for us yet, Anyone has a working application?
