In the System Apps folder there are a few apps that I want to use but they aren't showing up in the app drawer. When I click on the app I want to use it tries to install it (doesn't say update app, it's like installing it for the first time) but it says app not installed. For example I want to use the app "Life square" or life stream, whatever it's called, but when I select the app it will not install.
Is there any way I can get these apps to install? I find it to be weird that they are listed in the System Apps folder but are not actually installed. Should I try deleting the apps I want to use and then re install them?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Someone can upload the Official LG Gingerbread ROM Phone & Camera apps?
and other question: I can replace cm7 (mik rom v6.5.3) stock apps with the LG apps?
If you have any .zip GB rom (e.g: v20g.zip), You can extract and find the application on /system/app folder.
Hope it will works.
But if you don't have any zip Rom, download from here:

_http://www.enterupload.com/n92k8n294cii/Phone.apk.html
I'll try, thanks
Edit: The camera app successfully installs as user app, but there a FC on start. The phone app doesn't install, i install normally (selecting the apk trough root explorer), the installer ask me for replace system app, i choose yes but at the end the installer shows "app is not installed". Some other install method?
Dosen't the camera require some additional files to run? I really wish cm7 had a camera like LG.

Quick tip: use root explorer and navigate to /system/app and place the phone.apk there. Then set it appropriate permissions rw-r--r-- (A reboot may be necessary. I'm not sure)
I haven't tried this. Please make a backup in case something goes wrong.
up for camera app

Howdi Folks,
My apps wont uninstall, (Bloatware)
I have root, Titanium backup and it wont remove them.
Busybox is installed aswell.
Any help?
Try getting an app called "Root App Delete" if you haven't already. Then just open it and select the apps you want to remove and remove them. The app should ask for SuperUser access, make sure you accept it and tick the rmember box, then you can uninstall any apps you want.
Just be careful not to touch or remove any important system apps.

As some apps are not available or their updates sometimes not possible in the place I am currently living, China, I was looking for another third party app store and found 1mobile app. And just like some of you, traveling from one rom to another rom it was a pain to install over apps from app store in case roms got different build or even android versions, besides restoring apps by titanium backup causes some problems in some cases when I tried to restore my apps. After a while using and searching in 1mobile application I saw a very interesting feature which let me backup my apps by creating a folder called "onemobile_backup" without their data or messing around and restoring apps quickly.
So you can follow my tips if you are interested:
How to Backup
1- open 1mobile app and go to settings
2- go to end of settings option and hit Auto install and give root permission
3- and again hit Auto install and check if it enabled successfully
4- go to "Backup" and check every apps you like to backup
you can also update backup of any app, on "Backed Up tab": lower version in front of apps indicates that you have newer version available so just hit on small "x" behind the app (this would delete backed up app) then switch to "Available" tab and see that newer version is there, again tick and make a backup of new version.
How to Restore
If you already gave root permission skip 1,2,3.
1- open 1mobile app and go to settings
2- go to end of settings option and hit Auto install and give root permission
3- and again hit Auto install and check if it enabled successfully
4- go to "Backed Up" tab
5- tick every app you are going to restore
6- finally hit blue install button
7- wait for a little while and let the app restore your applications one by one
There maybe also similar apps doing the same but I found this app more convenient and quicker besides it's free and can update itself.

No data. Only apps that's why I'm telling it won't cause any problem.

hey there,
I rooted my Nexus7 (2012) using WugFresh's Toolkit (it worked, I have root access).
Now I wanted to delete/deactivate some of the stuff I don't want/need like for example the hangouts app using the app "Root App Delete". I can choose to deactivate the app, but afterwards it still works/opens up.
So how do I actually deactivate this stuff?
thanks so much
brokaaa
I personally use Clean Master - Free Optimizer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard). It completely Uninstalls the system apps and not just deactivates them.
I use root uninstaller it will freeze, backup or uninstall apps. So you could backup hangouts (if you were ever going to want it again) and uninstall it or just freeze it to stop it working sometimes you have to uninstall it twice as the first uninstall only removes the updates

There are other apps in the applications Manager under the Downloaded Apps that are labelled not installed. I have tried removing them but to no success, I have even tried deleting some of their files from root\data\app and data\app-lib but the apps still exist as black icons still labeled NOT INSTALLED (See the attached Image). How do I remove them. Help Please
[EDIT] I have now noticed that every app I uninstall is added to that list and labelled "Not Installed". If you tap the Application, in storage details:
Total..................8.51MB (Size Depending on App)
Application.........8.51MB
SD Card app......0.00B
Data..................0.00B
SD card data......0.00B
Cache................0.00B
Its practically saying the app has been uninstalled but has left its APK and other junk in the phone.
Help on How to remove all these apps manually by deleting some files or any other method.
[EDIT 2] I solved my problem by using an app from Developer Dark3n from this post

If its on one of your applications pages, simply hold it and slide to the top to "app info" from there you can uninstall the app.
If you hold and slide to uninstall it wont do anything (had this issue before)

You need to download/install Titanium Backup from the playstore
and click MENU button and select "Destroy Market Links".
Reboot the phone and it will not longer display "not installed" apps.
Good luck!

I checked Titanium Backup but isnt that option supposed to unlink all apps from the Market, what about the Apps that I still want connected to Market?
I tried it but it didn't work, tried clean Davlik Cache via Titanium Backup but still the problem exists.

It only un-links apps temporarily then starts all over again linking only
those apps which which are installed.

I get this for a few apps whenever something happened to a hidden folder on my SD card named something along the lines of Android_Secure. (something with secure.)
You can't see the folder on the phone, you need to use a pc to see it.
I have no apps installed on my SD, but when anything happens to that folder, about 20 apps stop working and say 'not installed'.
