when my nexus 7 is in sleep mode and connected to an external speaker its making a clicking noise..
its not the speakers b/c i have tried different speakers with the same result...
anybody else having this issue and is there a way to fix it?
I am having the same issue. When my nexus 7 is asleep and also connected to external speakers, there is a dull tick over the speakers about every 3 seconds or so. The sound is similar to tapping a record player needle with your finger. I've tried disabling touch sounds and lock screen sounds, but neither fixed the issue.
The issue occurs whether I tap the power button or let it fall asleep.
Edit: Flashed a new kernel. Was running bricked, now running trinity. Issue is gone.
I also had bricked kernal switched back to stock issue is gone atleast for now!
I'm having a huge problem with my nexus 7. Every time I plug in my headphones the sound works for a while then makes a popping sound. Then stops working for 10-15 seconds. But today, it does it rapidly, i tried listening to music on Pandora and other music players and i cant even listen to thirty seconds of audio without it popping and messing up. Also when i watch YouTube videos the video stops when it happens.
Rooted and Unlocked.
ROMaranoid Android 3.0.0 (used to use Cyanogenmod's night lies)
Kernel:M-Kernel. Tried out Franco, highly unstable for me.
Can someone please tell me what to do?
Not sure if this helps but when charging it makes a constant buzzing sound in the headphones.

Hello,
Did someone can help me with this strange issue. Sometimes (randomly) when I record video with my Note 4 - there is no sound recorded.
I made some test and I'm 99% sure that this is related with Gear 2 which I'm using with Note 4 - and its connected via bluetooth.
Also I use my car which always connect to my phone in mic mode (I can call and answer from phone without touching it).
So when I noticed audio did not record, I record another one - of course no sound too - disconnected gear 2 (turn off bluetooth), record another video and this time sound was there!
How can I force video recorder to always use note 4 mic and not gear 2 or car (I dont know if this is an issue for sure) .. I guess thats why I cannot record video with audio from time to time.
It happend to me 2 times already and it was some important movies with my small kid ... :/
Its so frustrating - I give a shot to Android and Note 4 , came from Iphone 6 (which wait for me in shelf in case of emernecy) and all was perfect until this video audio problems. Its both samsung products and for me it looks like even they cannot sort it out properly.
I'm on stock lollipop 5.0.1, no root, no custom launchers. Hope guys you can help me find answer to this I really wanted stay on Android.

I used Redmi Note 7's bluetooth to connect to my car and played music from Note 7. But, I felt music quality is very low.
Music quality is well played my lasted phone (Moto G5 plus) with the same music source.
I know redmi note 7 is worth of his price but bluetooth's music quality is note acceptable.
Does someone have any solution or right setting I lost.
Thanks for your help!.
Have you tried using the equalizer? Conect headphones, play a song from music app and look for equalizer settings. Fixed It at your preference and you Will have a good sound quality for now on.
In my case I chose "general headphones" and then I went to fix the equalizer.
