F2FS compatible roms. - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for any rom that is F2FS compatible, doesn't matter if it is AOSP, some derivative or TouchWiz one. Anything will do.
Some kernels are tagged f2fs compatible but to date I have not been able to boot a system standing on f2fs.

Any F2FS ROM Lollipop released?

I was on only data F2FS ROM before Lollipop update. After the update my Nexus 7 got very slow almost unusable.
So for now any F2Fs Lollipop ROM out for download?
That's originally no F2FS ROM but some people build a F2FS version of it. Just search the thread and maybe the associated Q&A as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2931064

i 9505 f2fs

Can someone tell me what roms (other than cm 12.1 optimised) for i9505 support F2FS?
thanks
I'm using http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...om-angelcalibur-alucard24s-optimized-t3093919 with f2fs on data and cache partitions with no problems. good rom too
previous to this I was using an older version of resurrection remix with f2fs as well, but I don't know about the current versions.
I don't flash that much so I can't tell you about any more as I don't know...
Pretty much every rom by the JDCTeam supports f2fs.

Using f2fs with MIUI

The material themed twrp (i think it is 2.8.7.1) that I'm using has the option to change your partition file systems, and I seem to recall f2fs being better than the standard file system, but I don't know if miui supports it. If it doesn't, are there any miui based roms out there with this capability?

No, MIUI official ROM doesn't support this partition type even you format it to f2fs flashing miui will format it again to ext4. There is no miui based rom out there cause it is too slow and has a lot of bloatware in it. Always use CM and AOSP based ROM if you are a Chinese. Friendly reminder never use MIUI on a 1gb RAM device.:highfive:
Ah, ok thanks. I like the theming feature of miui so I'm using smiui, which I hope is a little better. Wish it was a bit less debloated, but I was getting tired of the plain look of cm and aosp.
If certain cm or aosp based roms had better performance over smiui, I might use them.
if you like MIUI, use MIUI based rom (based on china developer rom), such as xiaomi eu, miui pro, miui hellas, sMiui, MIUI polska.
same feature and stability, all sensors working flawlessly, also the most important battery backup is also good as miui.
but with minor tweaking that will perform better than miui original rom

Samsung S4 i9505 f2fs question

First of all sorry for the probably "very" noob question (if it is), okay to be on topic:
Recently I was curious about f2fs format and I heard it is better than ext4.
I did a little bit of research but I'm not really satisfied.
I heard only CM roms support f2fs on Galaxy S4 I-9505, for kernel it's not my concern because there are kernel that supports that format.
My questions are these:
-Is it true touchwiz rom are not supported? If so, why it can't. If not, what tw rom is/are supproted?
-Can I really benefit for f2fs format, or better is it really worth to try?
I hope I can be satisfied after being answered so if possible I prefer a very exhaustive answer.
Thank you very much.
P.s. Please don't kill me and be gentle if possible.
From my understanding, F2FS has to be supported by the kernel.
F2FS was also developed by Samsung, as far as I know, so I don't know why their ROMs/kernels would not support it.
F2FS is supposed to improve write speeds. So only writable partitions (data, cache, internal).would benefit from it. The system partition is read only and would not benefit by being converted to F2FS.
The improvements are barely noticeable.
You'll get a better general performance improvement by switching to a custom ROM than switching to F2FS.

First of all thank you for answering.
I actually find kernels that support f2fs so it's not a real problem after all.
I'm still wondering if custom roms actually support it but probably I should ask the rom developer, this is my real concern because I heard touchwiz rom doesn't support f2fs format and maybe having only a supported kernel isn't enough to have it working correctly.
So if I want to convert my phone in f2fs, I should only format data, cache and internal, I understand it so again thanks.
I really want to try converting for my curiousity but I don't know if I should give it a shot.
I had a few problems with F2FS in the past. Problems like data loss, like a complete factory reset of the phone during a reboot.

Any ROMs/kernels that exfat?

Hello, I'm currently searching for a custom ROM or a kernel that supports exfat filesystem. Stock ROM supports exfat but none of the custom ROMs support it. I know its got something to do with the licensing and stuff but I've seen kernels and ROMs for other devices for making exfat compatible.
So if you stumble upon a custom ROM or a kernel that supports exfat, please do post it here. Thanks.
