Hi all, looking for advice, thanks in advance.
I'm a noob so bear with me with the terminology
I have tried this method - [FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 - on my LG G2 after a failed attempt to install the CloudyG3 Custom Rom. It restored and installed TWRP and couldn't boot to anything else. I did not have any files on the the phone's internal memory such as a ROM ready to flash.
...a few confusing steps trying to put files on the phone later (which I can't recall now ) I restarted the phone and now it simply became stuck at the LG logo. It is able to go into Download Mode (photo attached) but is different than before which looked like a two arrows in a circle. It does not respond to the 'LG Support Tool, UpTestEX and KDZ file' method. It starts downloading and installing the firmware then stalls at 15% everytime.
So I returned to - [FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 - using Ubuntu to restore the imgs and get TWRP back at least. Instead of seeing a large list of paths like before:
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5
/dev/sdb1 /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdb3 /dev/sdb4
/dev/sdb5 .......... /dev/sdb36
Click to collapse
All I see now is just:
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5
Click to collapse
I don't what else to do now, just holding onto the fact my phone isn't a complete brick! Any solution would be appreciated!

i didnt understand u . can u get in twrp mode ? if u can then u can restore the full download mode from there
can you see your phone on Windows ?
Thanks for replying so far guys.
azher98: right now i cannot access TWRP. It can only boot into Download Mode, or just stays at the 'LG G2 logo' screen.
jelly'K: Whenever I plug it into Windows using USB, it does not recognise it as removable storage or device. No system notifications, no pop-up dialogs and it isn't available in Windows Explorer.

it can boot into Download mode so you can flash .kdz file !
Jelly'K: That's the problem I try to but my computer doesn't recognise it under 'Device Manager'.
I tried installing the drivers through the LG Tools, but nothing again.
When I start up the LG Support Tool to select the KDZ file (with correct settings) it starts to verify the phone and then stops around 15% and an error message comes up saying the phone is not connected.
This is where it should seem easy to fix but not the case!
Hello. Please help me. I have a Japanese version of G2 (L-01F - DoCoMo) and i tried to flash an european version of kitkat because i couldn't update in OTA. Now the phone is bricked, it is bootlooping, the Download Mode doesn't work, it shows a few of blue dots and it stays there (the phone can't be recognized on PC using the USB cable). I can enter the Recovery Mode (the grey screen with LG logo) where the phone can be read by PC and using ADB tool is shown as "recovery". I can't use fastboot.exe because the device is not being recognized. What can i do? Thank you very much.

Actually i'm trying to repair it since October 2014. No-one knows the solution. I went to 3 different GSM Services and they don't know what to do...
So...when i'm trying to put it in download mode it stays like this and the PC doesn't recognize it.
The only way to connect the phone to the computer is to put it in recovery mode (Backup & Restore) by holding Volume Up and Power Button at the same time with the phone turned off. It should appear something like this. The PC recognizes the phone but only in ADB. Look.
The third possible screen, which also is useless is this by typing in the CMD the following: "adb reboot recovery" (click). Here, the PC doesn't recognize the phone too.
Fastboot doesn't work.
And that's my problem. I don't know what to do.

If there are any custom roms that will run on your phone, adb push it to the sdcard and flash in TWRP.

Your screenshot above shows the device being recognized via adb in recovery. What permission problems?
Hello!
Good afternoon masters!
My LG G2 was hard bricked after i [very intelligent man (sarcasm)] flashed a ROM and Efficient Kernel without wipe nothing!
My phone can't enter in recovery mode, download or fastboot.. the PC recognize him in PdaNet installed, but in ADB i can't execute any command
because the status of device is "unauthorized" and i don't have access to the screen to confirm the authorization.
Obs:
Red LED light ON while pluged in PC.
Try to ON the device shows blank stripes in LG logo boot and shades of gray.. after this the screens off.
Thanks for all and sorry for my english!
[EDIT]:
Aaaw Yeah! I won, masters!
The problem has solved now!
1: I followed this tutorial
Then: I followed the tutorial that the master dredd2099 passed me. Thank you too man!
Obs: if you don't have Linux to follow the tutorial passed by dredd2009.. try this tutorial on youtube.
Obs 2: if your PC recognize the device like qhsusb_bulk 9008 (don't recognize disk parts in PC.. only COM port in Device Manager) instead of 9006.. try this tutorial
Thanks for all! [very happy]
have you checked here, might help, sounds similar at least

Thanks for answer my friend!
In the post of your reply.. the PC detects device as qhsusb_bulk with multiple drivers, in my case unfortunately not.
In my case, the PC only detects device in ADB as unauthorized.
Thanks a lot .
Hello,
So I think I messed up big time with this trying to install a ROM. So here is some background info so you guys can have a more clear idea on what I did;
First I rooted my device using Stump Root, pretty smoothly no troubles there.
Then I saw a thread here on how to install TWRP. I followed the instructions and used a TWRP for the D800 model which I got from here and did not restart the phone (if that matters) then I used flashy again for the bootloader which I got here and I used the one matching my phone version: D80020Y (KK). Then I restarted my phone and it started on a black screen with some weird log and was stuck there. So I restarted the phone and get this log:
[5220] Fastboot mode started
[5270] udc_start()
After I plug the usb cable in the computer the log appends to this:
[137960] -- reset --
[137970] -- portchange --
[138040] -- reset --
[138050] -- portchange --
Unpluging and pluging the usb cable simply appends this message again.
So a few things I should mention that I tried
adb won't work
fastboot doesn't find my device (idk If i need anymore drivers, I installed some)
can't access download mode, boots to fastboot
cant hard reset, doing so boots me to fastboot
What do I do please help me? I think I really blew on this .-.
Googled a bunch more and found a solution
So first I found this site teamandroid. com/2012/07/30/how-to-set-up-adb-fastboot-with-android-sdk/3/
All you have to do is download the google usb drives if fastboot cmd does not detect your phone. After that follow this video
youtube .com/watch?v=YEqEE9Qb8Sk and you're good to go = )
sorry for link spaces, can't post links yet.

Good day all,
I've had my LG for a year almost working perfectly on stock OS. suddenly one morning it was battery drained and ever since wouldn't start up.
my LG boots and gets stuck on
ERROR : boot certification verify
[1040] ---------------------------------------
[1050]
[1050] secure booting Error!
[1050] cause : boot certification verify
[1050]
[1050]----------------------------------------
then it turns off alone...
i have tried getting it into download mode it gives me same error, have also tried a full hard reset(vol- power lg logo vol- power) it goes and starts with the android robot and loading then just goes off.
However i download the LG drivers and after i try turning on the phone normally it goes off all i did was keep holding the volume up button then plugged into PC(win7) i get a removable disk of 63.9mb with two folders init(image and verinfo), in device manager it is COM15 LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port. please keep in mind the screen is blank off when all this shows on PC.
I'm basically out of options idk what to do, please help me i have searched all over the web and cant find anything valid .
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guy,
I had a similar problem on weekend. I tried lot of methods and I fixed my phone. I don't have download mode yet, but i did my phone boot to system properly.
I don't know exactly what I did, my on forums of LG G3 a man posted 2 lines of comand that you can write on ADB. I think that these commands fixed my problem. But I tried lot of methods, so i can't say with conviction.
I will look on my historic on browser and put here all links that I researched.
