My Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 messed up while rooting - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Am so disappointed, I tried to root my Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 based ODIN method, Now my phone ended up saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." I tried pressing volume key- and power button and home button, I see these:
ODIN MODE
Product name : GT-I9500
Current binary : Custom
System status : Official
Knox warranty void : 1
RP Swrev : A3
Downloading.. Don not turn off target!!.
Since today is sunday, No Samsung service center is open and i had to visit a local mobile service shop, He was unsure what to do. I need help from you guys.
Thank you

The solution is really simple. Just reflash a stock firmware.

Stock ROM download F.E. sammobile.com

I would like to thank for assistance you guys provided. I carried it to service center, They have fixed it. I learned not to root without knowledge.

Roll back to stock Firmware ? or roll back the stock firmware aka Downgrade?
If it's downgrade, you cannot.
To go back to stock make sure you have the correct USB drivers installed and KIES should work for you. Or alternatively grab your stock ROM from sammobile and flash it via ODIN.
Just seen you had installed the drivers, Check you have the right version of KIES installed, as there are two options from samsungs site. Or just try ODIN

If using Stock ROM and you haven't already rooted previously then No. If you have rooted then depending on your chosen root method, it may have been tripped.

Sammobile.com for stock roms, you will have to register.
Did you disable re-activation lock? This can cause issues...
Which note do you have?

International n9005 i will search for it on sammobile
i had bad time solving this issue , however i finally found out the issue was with bootloader.. who ever facing this issue try this once ...hope it works for u as well... i was facing similar issue when i flashed 4.4.2 n9005xxuena6 .. after flashing the rom...using odin flash the attached file under bootloader and allow it to auto reboot.
hope this helps...
all credits to xda users ...if not for xda could not have solved it.
If the OP doesn't have KK then this will REALLY screw them up...
Once the KK bootloader is flashed you can't go back to JB... Only flash if you are trying to use a Kitkat rom or are on KK. DON'T flash this rom then try to fix anything by flashing a JB rom as you will get bootloops....
Firmware smn900v
Hey guys, I am trying to find firmware for the smn900v USA. I went to sammobile but the download site is telling me I have to sign up to be able to download a file of that size. Any help would be great on finding this firmware, I soft bricked my phone and need to re-install the firmware. Thanks
Is it a problem to register on sammobile??? It's free and won't cost you more than a few minutes. Then you can download anything you want

No the problem isnt with sammobile. If you read what I typed, it is the download site that is wanting me to sign up and pay for the download because it is over 1.04gb.
There has to be a place to find this file without giving my bank info out. Thanks

Sorry, You are so right. I didn't know that. This never occurred in the past and in the time I used to download from sammobile. And I agree ... there should be a place to download this fw free of charge. I hope you'll find that place.

This is new, they were allowing downloading of roms but must've changed policy when a lot of people started downloading rom files....
@rjfjedi
With help of Google I found this site. Scrolling down the page you'll find different kinds of stock firmware for the note 3. Don't know if there is a file you can use, but I thought I mention it. Hope you succeed!

As of now, no one has been able to root successfully, convincingly. While some people have been able to root, others have failed with the same methods. There are pre rooted ROMs if you want (Balliboxer's) but no CWM or TWRP.
If you want to go back to stock, download stock ROM from sammobile website and use ODIN to flash.

if you root your phone you automatically lose warranty. however, in the event that you need warranty, you can always revert to the stock rom before taking the phone to the service center --

if you have warranty then take it to the service centre. Otherwise try to flash firmware through odin.

What? I don't think so. Flashing a firmware through odin doesn't void the warranty.

I don't know but if something goes wrong and you go to the service center and you say I bricked my phone because I flashed a wrong firmware on my phone, I think he would say its your fault not mine

Once rooted then no way to go back.

As the post above say's once you trip your Knox that's it. Flashing ROMs will not fix it. So no more Knox apps/features will work.
Once rooted, knox writes that root and never goes back to its default state. I was having the same problem as you, too. After researching a lot, unfortunately I had to accept :crying:
