So..i have european F no brand galaxy s5.
I want to freeze with root and titanium backup ALL thr process that work in background and i don't use.both process and bloatware because i want a s5 much faster possible..like a stock android.without change rom and trip knox.so the only way is to freeze/deactive bloatware and process manually in stock rom samsung.
For example..if i don't use air gesture,s finder, easy one hand, ecc can i freeze them?the samsung will be more reactive freezing some features of samsung?
If the answer is yes,i really need to know exactly what i can freeze and what not..and...if i freeze, for exampe, easy one hand, and then activate easy one hand in menu setting ..what's happen?the phone crash?nothing?
I neri a List ok process and bloatware specifically forse s5 900F no brand

A simple search would have found many bloatware lists. Have a look at the list in the top search result. Since it sounds like you aren't willing to root or install a custom ROM you will only be able to freeze a limited number of apps. Refer to the bloat lists.. most non-system apps are safe to remove.
Also do some searches for system optimizing. Turning off system animation, gestures, etc will also make your phone more responsive.
Google search: Samsung S5 bloat list XDA

Hi!i just made quite a deal with a galaxy tab here in Portugal. Its from the TMN operator and guess what, its filled with crappy apps that i cant remove. So i was wondering what would be the best option here regarding samsung "official" firmwares....I also havent flashed anything yet so i dont really know what all programs are necessary, but ive seen references to a ODIN app. and pit files. So i was wondering if i could get some help from the community. Also the tab suffers from sluggish web browsing and the notifications bar is also sluggish when calling up and down.
regards,
You actually don't need to install a custom firmware; All you have to do is root it (search z4root) and then use a file explorer or adb to remove the apps from the /system/app folder. Backup everything you intend to remove, because you may accidently remove something vital.

Hi guys, was just about to start a similar thread, I bought a tab online from bestbuy expecting delivery on Wednesday, just wanted to know what I ll do when the tab comes.
I have already got my case and screen protector ready.
Number 1 I believe will be root, what apps are recommended to keep and remove etc, I believe there are no custom roms for now...
Also is there Google market available for the tab?
Thanks in advance.
Hey Guys
Just got a AT&T Samsung Focus v1.4 ..
Is there a ROM floating which removes all AT&T apps and makes it unbranded??
Or is there any other way to do so?
I am not in America and don't want any AT&T stuff installed..
khandu. Press and hold AT&T app names in the menu until you get white menu apperared. Press uninstall. Done, no need in custom rom.
Yup...just uninstall the AT&T apps and you've got a fresh, clean WP7 install.

No, you actually don't. Branding doesn't only imply adding apps, it also means altering functionality in the OS(from carrier's perspective). For example, AT&T Focus rom doesn't have sms delivery report enabled. And you can't enable it without editing registry. And there are more things modified.
The closest to unbranded (original Focus rom from Sammy) is Rogers rom.
Hi everyone, thanks for this wonderful community.
I recently purchased Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon in the USA. Because I used to use the original Galaxy Nexus and was pleased with the "pure google experience" and the Nexus 5 doesn't work on Verizon's network, I rooted my Note 3 and want to learn how to completely backup with Titanium Backup Pro ( I purchased it ) My goal is this, If I decide to gain "pure google experience" by deleting all of the non google apps and then decide to restore it to it's original state, how can I be sure it will be just like I bought it from Verizon? I have been researching this issue as I have successfully rooted my device. ( everything works like it suppose to, Samsung Hub, Verizon Cloud, ect, ect.) Just not sure what or how to back it up. Thanks.
The easiest way to be sure it is completely back to stock when you need it to be would be to use Odin to restore. There are threads about it on here that describe how to use Odin to restore the phone to a completely stock state.

Titanium backup let's you freeze the bloatware you don't want. Then in the future if you find yourself wanting that app you can just defrost the app. It's better than deleting apps because that could lead to other apps malfunctioning. As far as backups in Titanium it's very simple to do.
Also if you are going to install custom roms then install Safestrap 3.65 stable version and make a backup of your stock rom.
It also allows you to run roms on additional rom slots while maintaining your stock rom in a safe slot.
Greetings!!!
As the title says, can anyone provide a list of the oficiall stock apps (from stock rom) that I can safely uninstall???, avoiding FC's and random weirdness.
I'm using a Mexican S7 Edge (from Telcel) and I succesfully uninstalled all of my carrier bloatware, but I want to make my setup as minimal as possible.
Best regards!!!
bump!
Hi,
Just from experience, I had little to know difference in battery life when I disabled applications besides the allowable ones. ?

While this is described as a Note FE port to Note 7, you can see that the Note FE variants are listed as supported devices. It's not yet clear how the ROM is to be installed on FE, especially on a rooted FE (which has been decrypted). I've tried once so far, seemed to work but then rebooted and seems to have hung. I posted a request for a guide specific to our device, so I suppose we should wait for LinhPhi9x94's response.
This is his thread over on the Note 7 forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/rom-note-fe-note-7-fullport-t3649954
If this works, it will be a great advance for us.
Update: I've managed to install the custom ROM on my FE. This time I did a format data, copied the ROM zip from the PC, and installed. Got the same pop-up - which is in Korean and refers to the SIM card - which is then followed by one in Vietnamese, where I tapped the left option (it begins with N and Google translates it as "crushed"). All this happens fairly quickly, unlike the first time where I did only an advanced wipe and assumed then from the lengthy delay that it had hung.
Everything is fine except that the security alert triggered by the (disabled) verity function has a positive effect. It means that each time you reboot (but not restart) the device is diverted to recovery - which does not happen with a rooted FE. I find this a nuisance and I have restored the rooted installation.
It would seem that other than some modifications of the kernel no significant changes have been made to the stock firmware. Unless you really need a custom ROM, I cannot find any advantage to changing from our ongoing setup, especially given the nuisance of the forced diversion to recovery.

i haven't tried any other ROM and arrived at the same conclusion: rooted stock ROM/kernel works just fine. the only apps i've disabled are Korean apps, and the security log agent. i have not touched/disabled KNOX and i'm getting very good battery life as well. pic below represents my average battery life for the last week.
I would just an european CSC in orther to have meteo not in korean lang, international and not korean ectension for the browser, places in dialer and ID caller ifentification.

Problem for us is that so long as there is only a Korean release, there won't be much interest in meeting Euro/Nth American needs. You could try contacting the creator of the ROM, but it seems that his Note 7 no longer works (see link above).
