Hey there.
I accidentally wiped my whole internal storage after factory reset, and now I can't access (copy) new rom to my NS. Tried both TWRP and CWM, but both were unable to mount the storage, and therefore nothing shows up in my PC as removable device. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance :/
I think that you should be able to fastboot an older version of cwm via usb on pc, an older cwm has a working mount storage and you could flas a rom via pc

Oh, why I didn't think of that? Thanks!
But I already figured it out, managed to install new ROM with ADB sideload.
Btw why isn't the USB storage still not working in new TWRP and CWM?

Not quite sure why is it like that, but an older one should do the trick, you can try the latest 6.0.5.0 and see if it works with it

I recently tried to flash PA on my nexus.
Installed cwm on my phone. Then downloaded the PA ROM and moved to the device storage.
Rebooted into CWM and performed all the wipes.
I accidentally wiped the system and the internel partitions too.
when i tried to install ROM from sdcard. it says "NO FILES FOUND"
Iam stuck here. Phone wont boot into Android... any suggestions? please help!
How did you wipe system within CWM?
But since you say you wiped internal partitions too, it seems to me that you wiped your internal emulated sdcard... so I think your only option now is to flash stock images again... Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
If you don't want to flash the stock images you can also push a rom to your phone with adb while booted in a custom recovery
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/
Thanks guys. Found a solution.
Flashed TWRP and sideloaded the ROM file. And flashed it.
Earlier the same process with CWM was not successful. Now the phone is loaded with PA ROM!
Thanks guys! and can u point me to the google stock images??

wiped /system? have you tried simple re-flashing your ROM from the .zip ?
no worry... download the nexus 4 twrp latest img from their site, and flash it to your N4
what you needed:
twrp img file
some n4 rom
adb and fastboot
instructions:
boot to fastboot, vol key down + powerbutton when n4 is off.
on your comp, , dos/terminal - fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
reboot in recovery
select the adb side load from advanced tab in the twrp.
on your comp - adb sideload rom.zip
everything done....reboot phone.

did you wipe using fastboot erase command? if so, you need to re-format to the android supported file system to access the partitions!
try installing the twrp recovery and perform 'FORMAT DATA' from wipe. then install ROM.
N4 no OS.

can u get into recovery? did u check changing your USB Cable? The original nexus usb cable sucks, try another one. If you can access the fastboot/adb then it will be pretty simple..
Same problem but...
Hi, I'm having the same problem with my Nexus 4 and I have TWRP V 2.6.3.0 but I'm not sure how to push any rom to my phone because it's not showing up under my computer in Windows. How do I push roms to my Nexus 4? I'm stuck at the Google boot screen when I try to boot (Flashed Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, and normal cache) and I of course don't have any roms on my phone after I wiped all of the partitons. Help me plz

Hey Xda, so I ran into a little problem earlier today.
After creating a backup on my PC with the nexus 4 root toolkit and rotting and flashing TWRP I attempted to install a rom but since it was my first time using TWRP (Im used to CWM) i accedently wiped my internal storage and my OS and now im stuck in TWRP since i have no OS to boot to.
Is there anything I can do or is all hope lost?
Thanks in advance

Yes, install adb platform-tools and push a rom to the sdcard: adb push namerom.zip /sdcard/. Or try TWRP sideload http://teamw.in/ADBSideload.

I tend to take a FAT32-formatted flash drive, USB OTG cable, throw a custom ROM, Kernel, and Gapps onto the flash drive's root, reboot the tablet to TWRP, wipe everything (except USB OTG) and format data, reboot back to recovery, and then install ROM, Gapps, and Kernel (in that order).
In other words, if you have a flash drive and OTG cable, you can recover your device pretty easily If you don't have these though, you can adb push the zip's over to /sdcard I believe; it's been awhile since I've done this.
If you want to go back to factory stock, you can grab the latest factory image from the link shimp208 provided, and should be able to run the flash-all.bat included (may have to have platform-tools in PATH if running Windows, or cd into the folder).

Edit: I'm not entirely sure how USB OTG is on the N4 though. If it doesn't work, then adb push should be fine.

Interesting, This is indeed a truly "clean install". Any idea if this method would this work in CWM. Sorry to OP for jacking your thread.
I myself have done this before, I hope you get through it. Goodluck
Rooted and installed twerp 2.6 wiped download files to copy over and flash, but will not mount internal storage tried 2 different systems. stays stuck at updating partion details.

Do you have adb + the drivers installed? If not, do so now and then adb push the files to the phone. adb will work even if you're in recovery. Should be plenty of write ups on the forum about how to install and set up the required stuff.
is been a long time since I pushed files useing adb Im sure it will come back to me. Should I change to clockworks to avoid this in the future? Why is it not mounting

It can't be on the Nexus 4. If you don't have the files on your phone it's your only option at this point.
Edit: CWM vs TWRP wouldn't make a difference in this case.

You cant mount it as USB storage in recovery mode. I normally download the new ROM I want to flash before going into recovery so that I don't have to use adb to push it.

Hi, i wast trying to install a new custom rom (AOKP) on my LG G2 D802, so i rooted my phone and then installed TWRP and had a copy of custom rom zip file in my internal SD card.
But unfortunately and out of stupidity or lack of experience or something like that, i tought i have to wipe all the data on my phone. So i checked all the checkboxes in wipe data section (System, dalvik, etc) and then wiped everything and now my phone won't turn on and stucks on the LG logo.
i can go to TWRP but the Custom rom zip file is gone, and G2 does not have any external SD card slot. if it had one i could copy the zip file on the sd and flash it in TWRP. My pc does not recognize my phone and i can not copy anything on that.
I think it's worth mentioning that i backed up my phone before that (when it was on stock rom and working) and i have the back up on my pc, but how can i copy that in my phone's internal sd card?!
Can anyone plz help me? I really dont know what to do now!
Get an otg cable and use a flash drive or card reader with it.

Or just flash a kdz with lg tool. And start over
using OTG with a flash doesn not seem to work.
I'm going to use the stock rom as you said, thanks.

I can not use adb sideload or adb push because my pc does not recognize my phone as an adb device. I have installed LG drivers (LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN310AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.10.1.exe) but it seems there is something wrong with my drivers. I see a warning icon in the device manager for LGD-D802 and in adb push or adb sideload i get Device not found error, do u know how can i fix that?

There is a thread somewhere tracing thou do install adb drivers for twrp, I have no idea where it is though. Basically you have to go to device manager and manually select the driver, it should be under Google and some drover under that.. Just search for the thread hahaha

I also did this. Formatted internal SD when on TWRP.
The solution was to put the phone in download mode and recovery it (flash stock rom) through LG Support Tool.
I installed adb drivers itself instead of lg drivers and then i was able to push files in my phone using adb push.
i used sideload and flashed the ROM.
Thanks for the help.
Ive tried both Philz and CWM and mounting the sd card to usb doesn't seem to work in either. On the kindle I can go in and wipe every single thing on the device, mount the sd to usb, and copy over a ROM and Gapps and be on my way. What am I missing with the LG G2?
Im the only one that has usb issues in recovery?
tried twrp 2.7.0.0 and that doesnt work either.

I find it unnecessary to wipe internal sd so haven't encountered your problem, but couldn't you adb push the Rom and gapps to storage/emulated/0 and get the same result? I think usb otg can be used as well but I haven't tried that either.
Setting up adb abd getting the drivers so that each android device is actually recognized in Windows is an incredible pain in the ass.
