Have a bad problem with S-Health, I rooted using Towel root, then installed Xposed, S-health crashed, so i removed xposed and s-health persisted to crash, so i then performed a factory reset, and s-health continued to crash.
The only way it'll work is if it's not updated, I personally don't want root no more i just want it to work.
Stock rom 4.4.2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you remove the framework for xposed first? Anyways since you wiped the data partition, you may as well flash your ROM back and start from scratch. S health works when rooted with towel root but xposed still bugs it.

Crap no I didn't, I have wiped from the recovery though wouldn't that eliminate it ? I've now updated, was trying to avoid losing warranty. But now it never works. Phone isn't rooted no more and I'm not able to root with towel root either.
I'm guessing I'd have to flash a prior ROM via Odin and then re root, install xposed and then remove the framework if it's still somehow there.
Any ideas ? Thanks

Not sure larr, i dont care myself best ask about before you jump in
Try this...
1. Uninstall Xposed framework if not already.
2. Go in /system and open build.prop in a text editor
3. go to the line ( “ro.securestorage.support=true” ) and change it to false
4. Install the xposed framework
5. Clear the app data for S-Health and HealthService
6. Reboot
solution..

Dude are you going to post on every thread i make? Just to tell me to search? You're offering nothing in the way of a solution, more to the point, both the threads i've created were for unique questions, not all my questions are answered in other threads.
Please stop just commenting to say search.

My Galaxy app's application hasn't been deactivated m8, it's always been on, the second i turn on S-Health it crashes, it's because my system says custom when in download mode i believe, problem is i've now updated my OS so i'd need to reflash a stock rom via odin and then re-root if i wanted to have access to the location that the user before you mentioned. Been away from home for a few days so not had the chance, might do it tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestion, but if I turn on S-Health now i know it'll begin crashing again.

Hi,
Which ROOT options do i have for this device? SCL-L01 (other versions : see UPDATE)
For some unknown reason this solution does not seem to work everytime on this types.
But better give it a try
You do not need to unlock your phone.
Just install :
http://www.appsandroidapk.com/tools/kingroot/
http://androidmtk.com/download-kingroot-application
UPDATE : known versions of Kingroot working : succeeded feedback by other members but not always succesfull.
SCL-L01 4.5.2 Build : SCL-L01C432B130, SCL-L01C150B140
SCL-L02 4.6.5
SCL-L03 4.6.5 Build : SCL-L03C25B130
SCL-U31 4.8.0 Build : SCL-U31C185B140 (but with unlocked bootloader)
(another user : with unlocked bootloader, sim card out, wifi ON, Kingroot 4.8.0 = success)
I suggest you try all versions when above list is not working for you. You'll never know ...
Feel free to post your rooted phone's BUILD number please to help others.
Removed bloatware and apps with any app like link2sd etc...Installed AdFree to remove all ads
Thnx !
Solved !
you do not to unlock your phone.
Just install :
http://androidmtk.com/download-kingroot-application
Just install this version AND only this ( the only one that works ) v4.5.2 and it worked for me.

It's permanent. No worries. Let the app do its work.
Best thing is that you do not need to unlock bootloader etc. like some users propose to do. So not necessary to ask unlock code @Huawei. (warranty stays)
If i am not mistaken you can unroot too. (warranty not sure after root)

Hi,
i remember by running Kingroot the first time it said it didn't go by the usual "quick" root.
But after that message i could choose to do it 'manually' by selecting just a button to continue.
After that it went running for a couple of minutes, even a couple of time it rebooted and after that it said "rooted succesfully"
Checked it with rootchecker--OK !
Other apps like solid explorer, link2sd ect. asked for permissions to grant, so i am rooted by that way.
? Do you have the 2gb version with 2 sims ?

Yes, the sreens are taken after root.
Mine is a 1gb/1sim. Perhaps this will cause the problem. I do not now. But i suppose the 2gb/2sims might normally work too.
Perhaps someone with a Y6 2gb/2sims might give it a try and give feedback to this situation.
PS : Have you succeeded sofar?
Rooting happened like video. Just to give you an example how it went.
First it said "root is unavailable" and after that you just tap "START ROOT".

This well known Android German forum has a quite big thread about it:
android-hilfe.de/thema/huawei-y6-rooten-des-geraetes.724309
I don't read German but with a bit of help from google translate I can see that nobody there has succeeded to get root access without unlocking the botloader.
Seems like the OP here had luck with his phone. Perhaps huawei forgot to lock his bootloader?

I DID check the status of my phone,my friend. Did you?
Use minimal ADB and fastboot - go in ADB and check with " ADB reboot bootloader"

Perhaps sent a mail @KingRoot like i did..perhaps they will look into it like they answered me

Lol, dag buurman! Hi there neighbour I'm from Holland
My knowledge is indeed lacking, I stand corrected! I only saw the 2gb/dual sim version in the Dutch and German sites and presumed it was Huawei's Europe import policy.
It's available here for 136 euros from belsimpel.nl but I don't have it yet. I wanted to get it for a friend and dual sim is a must for her. I only want to root it, replace the hosts files to get rid of ads and unroot it again, so she gets no problems with ota updates and warranty and such.
Are you generally happy with this phone? Are the audio and call quality satisfactory?
Thanks a lot!

Hi neighbour ! Indeed a small word
No problem ! There are 3 versions of it.
But i thought you've bought the phone already and tried Kingroot...
I use this phone as an interim because my ZP999 is in first aid :crying: Screen total loss...
But by unrooting this phone and deleting all unnecessary stuff and linking all the apps to my 2nd partition of SD it became a rather quick and very decent phone indeed! From the 1GB RAM i've always 500MB free.
There is no lack in opening apps. Battery is more than satisfactory (3 days normal use, 2 days no problem when making a bunch of phone calls like i do etc. ). Battery-charge cycle less than 1 hour.
Design is good. Slim body
Phone call : good but they put a rather hard blocking noice reduction in it, so when you have somebody on the phone and he/she does not say anything, sound is totally gone - that's a bit different with all the other phones i've got : caller voice and background sounds are hearable all the time. But you get used to it with this phone).
Touchscreen is very good even looking at a small angle is more than good. Backlight clarity ok.
GPS excellent! Wifi and carrier connect : excellent ! 4G top !
Sound when playing music : very good ( better then my ZP999)
So in general : worth the 130 euro's :cyclops:
I have rooted and flashed just about every android phone I have owned, including SGS2, SGS4 and SGN4 that I had previous to the SGS7e.
I am very happy with the smoothness and fluidity of stock. And I know what advantages root etc brings.
But my question is... are custom ROMS considered to be as smooth and fluid as stock?
advantages: Xposed, other than that I don't see a reason.
You could root without flashing a custom ROM?

I miss boeffla sound the most. The stock rom sound output is terrible(lack of bass and treble). My older note 2 blows my Sony xb50ap to the fullest
Second being xposed framework. Annoying youtube ads
Least concerned about controlling cpu/gpu speeds since it is already an overkill right now
Only thing limiting me from rooting is the irreversible knox that gets tripped and void the warranty

Ever heard of an app called "S package disabler" before? You can delete almost anything, even the stock messaging app or such, lol.
Ooh I came to the right thread, just got my s7 edge as a replacement for my note 5 and boy am I itching to root it... I only lasted a few weeks with my note 5 until I had to root it.. I agree the ui and performance is great on stock but I'm missing viper4android and titanium backup badly... I wanted to stay stock so I could use Samsung pay and my bankings mobile payment but I don't see myself using it much. That and maybe also resale value since id like to upgrade to the s8 but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold off lol. Hopefully this thread will help my decision...

Wait... There shouldn't be Facebook app pre installed first of all... If it is, you should be able to easily remove it. You should try flashing a clean version of the rom (even if stock) from a different region (not US, for unlocked versions). I think after this you won't have any apps to disable.
The only app that I had pre installed was My Vodafone, which I need anyway but it can be easily uninstalled. Also, I disabled S voice but that's on every Sammy phone.
This is the one version that is working for me.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.packagedisabler
Erm... Was working should I say. With the last version, it keeps crashing for me. I'm sure it will be fixed soon tho.

Yea, unfortunately true. Without root, nothing will be truly removed/deleted.

Well.. You know how it goes. Legally it doesn't void your warranty, companies just rely on those customers who don't care, and unfortunately there is majority of those.
Btw, try to flash the clean rom if you have the international version. This won't void your warranty (it will not trigger knox) as its original package directly from Samsung.

No..i was not talking about debloated (custom) rom. I was talking about a clean stock rom without the apps you mentioned. It's just a rom that is official, probably targeted to a different market/country and it won't trigger knox.
You can download it here, an installation guide is there as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3335065
I know this might sound pathetic to the pro flashers but for me the biggest advantages are no ads, no bloatware and no samsung emojis. Custom Roms are amazing but I simply don't have the time to flash everything anymore
True, I've been a flasher myself but now I'm just not into it, just want a phone to run properly, be productive and that's it... That's why had a Note 5 then the 7...really missing the pen functionality

You can uninstall Facebook app. Go to App settings -> Facebook and firstly you need to disable it and then you can uninstall it.
When I tried this for the first time, I was surprised too....because I couldn't directly uninstall it.
Cheers!
No bloat, no Verizon, no Sammy, no ads; old Linux days, where you installed whatever packages you wanted to the base OS...

Hi everyone,
Today I am posting this thread because of some idiots who are now sharing pre-rooted firmwares for SM-G361F that are full of bloats.
I am sick of that, this is why I upload the archive of the first pre-rooted firmware I got that was at least clean.
You can download it here: https://mega.nz/#!oqpRhZJZ!B18uTiB3TH-QfChoqjgWCNmaPjqInPZbFyI4u9-T8s4
Note: This firmware is ONLY for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G361F devices with AOG1 build.
Of course I don't own the firmware and I didn't root it, I just keep the right to upload it.

Glad to hear that worked fine for you (actually there were no reason for this to not work...).

Pre rooted
Hey,can you find SM-G361F pre rooted version for this device?
BaseBand G361FXXU1AQA1
Build number G361FXXU1AQD1
I can't find it anywhere
I love what you're doing. All other pre-rooted ROMS are full of trash. Could you make it for G361FXXU1APA3?
Hum... OK guys thanks for the love but I have to remember you something.
I am not a developer yet and truly not a ROM unbloater: I didn't "disinfect" the firmware, I just reuploaded it (well after a fast check, I found I've already prevented about that, just read the thread please...)
So no dudes I can't do that, sorry. I COULD eventually do that, removing bloats and extract system image to make a flashable shouldn't be as complicated, but I do not have time.
Sorry to disappoint you.
Hey Atronid, you rock! I have the AOL1 but intend to give it a try cause I already rooted it but it's full of bloast. Do you know if I can flash another pre-rooted firmware considering I did this already? could this be harmul? -brickful? )-

I don't think doing this will brick your device, but careful. Ensure the usal requirements are here (OEM unlock, USB debug just in case...) and you made a backup, also in case something goes wrong.
But if you're rooted you got plenty tools that can remove bloats from your device, but I hope you're not easily scared because once removed system may spam that the bloat you just uninstalled has stopped. You can get rid of that by just rebooting your phone.
So you don't need to reflash any firmware if you just want to clean your phone up.
Yes, you're right. The problem was that the apps I tried to remove other apps weren't the right ones, but now that's sorted thankfully On the other hand, as I couldn't find an Android 6 ROM for my phone (not even a sorry recovery.... ) in the end I set my mobile to install new apps on the sd card by default. Actually it works similarly to the app Link to SD, so a part of it is on the SD card and the rest (like the data it generates) in the device storage, despite all the tutorials sell this method as "Installation directly on your SD card". You need a computer and official Android development tools (SDK). In case it's of any interest for anyone I'll include the tutorial I followed, but it turns out I'm not allowed to post links yet, so the title of the article was Cómo instalar aplicaciones DIRECTAMENTE en la tarjeta SD from androidjefe website. In English, How to: Force Android to automatically install apps to SD card from softonic website
I hope it helps

Read first post. I don't think it will work if you have a build other than AOG1.
And you should not use TWRP to flash like this. Use Odin and Download mode instead.
Will this rooted firmware work with my SM-G361F phone? Need advice...
Hi there,
Will this rooted version work with my phone?
I'm new here and need some help and advice re Rooting this Samsung phone SM-G361F - I'M NO TECHIE but have ability to following instructions and make connections etc. My phone details are below.
Baseband G361FXXU1ASC1
Build LMY48B.G361FXXU1AQD1
Patch level is 2017-4-01
Security software version ASKS 1.2_161011
I did once try rooting a Samsung tablet using Odin and it all worked OK, but that was a while ago.
How important is it to get the identical build or baseband? Anything else I need to check?
I was trying initially trying to change the phone's MAC address, as I was experimenting with the phone, however I could not use an App to do this as it stated phone that the phone needs Rooting first for App to work. Also tried Terminal Emulator app but it kept failing to work as I was probably, unable to input the text commands required correctly.
I hope someone can please help and advise me on this.
M
Kind regards
Hi All,
I am interested (and maybe more of you) on how to install and make it work Substratum for our Oneplus 8 Pro devices without root.
If you have any solution or any method which works, please post it here.
Cheers.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. That's one of the reasons I buy unlocked phones and not from Verizon. I unlock it, root it, install Adaway and Swift Installer right off the bat.

But i wouldn;t risk to root it.
Without root there is no other way?
Thanks.

Not that I know of. Why are you hesitant to root? It's not hard. You just need to do your homework and follow instructions. We all had to start somewhere. Also, if something goes wrong, it's rare to really brick a phone. They can almost always be recovered.

There's no risk to rooting. Grab the MDM tool it's your always go to tool to bring phone back to stock if there's an issue.
I used to root for Adaway, Viper, and Substratum but with the theme engine now and Blokada (or my personal VPN) and most of my audio listening is not on this device I actually haven't rooted a OnePlus phone in almost a year. Keep in mind if you root you'll lose L1 provisioning (capped at [email protected] on YouTube TV which is a deal breaker for me) along with Netflix and other things that require Widevine DRM to play HD content. Also, having to update the ROM you gotta disable Magisk modules, disable substratum themes, flash the OTA, then reflash TWRP, reflash Magisk, re-enable all your modules and themes. At least this is how it was on the last round of OnePlus devices. Maybe I'm getting older but just simple flash OTA and reboot at my leisure and everything still just works...

Most apps can be light or dark theme.
You can also install DarQ from XDA Labs to dark theme more apps.
Quick Settings in the app store allows you to add a ton of more toggles to quick settings.
Hope that helps.

It's a bit old but you could try Andromeda from the play store and follow the instructions with substratum both installed and access to a PC worth a try couldn't shouldn't hurt
its pointless anyway
even on rotted OxygenOS most themes dont support it so there are always issues with themes
I prefer running custom AOSP ROMs as then themes work much better in terms of versions etc

I'm using Swift Installer and no problems. I have just about everything blacked out.
Many packages are supporting it now. Liv Dark, Swift, Darc, Liv Light, Valerie. Def worth the few minutes to gain root access.

With the local install option, this is one of the easiest phones to upgrade and keep root that I've ever used. Maybe even THE easiest.

What specifically are you looking to duplicate as non-root that you would require root for?

Given there's no TWRP support as long as nothing goes wrong I agree. If during a flash or if the phone randomly wants to glitch out causing a bootloop during normal usage you're sitting with a paperweight unless you're in front of a computer with ADB and your files available to jump start this device in fastboot. No TWRP and rooting and flashing the boot partition to gain root in most cases likely fine but you're playing with fire without a way to attempt to fix your device while on the go. Correct me if I'm wrong and I might reconsider my personal stance.
In addition, I love this device for the option to root, but the L1-->L3 downgrade in DRM provisioning is a partial deal breaker for my personal usage with YouTube TV. I like to watch sports and being restricted to [email protected] is awful. I could deal with the 480p component but the lack of 60 FPS hockey and football are motion blur central. Keeping it not rooted keeps it at [email protected] or [email protected]

Don't root if you have no idea what you're doing
But like everyone said previously, root is THE thing to do once you got an Android
There's no harm for your device, if you fail, you flash a whole firmware and youre good to go again
