3G/Edge symbol display problem

After scouring the Wiki for the better part of 2 hours and multiple searches I am forced to actually ask a question.
Up untill a hard reset to restore lost MMS settings this morning, I did not have this problem and yesterday I upgraded to the 1.38.00.11 radio and did not have this issue then either.
After the hard reset, here is my issue.
Before I had a large 3G icon and a small 3G icon over the signal strength, now I get a small 3G with two arrows while connected and nothing over the signal strength.

Top shows what I did have (replace the U with 3G) and the bottom is an example of what I see now with two arrows while connected.
Anyone know how to revert back?

hmm try this cab file it put a 3g icon where your U is then mine switches above the two arrows depending on the network. i don't know why it switched like that though.

Let me clarify, the picture represents what I see but with a 3G (bottom).
I used to see what's on top with a 3G instead of a U.

I would be shocked if this problem is unique to my device....
I think I am going to load hard SPL and downgrade the radio and see where that gets me.
Update, flashed 1.10 Oli and reverted back to 1.27.00.00 radio and I still have this issue. I am thinking maybe the hard reset performed to restore lost MMS settings caused this.

After reading a bunch of the display problem threads in the WM6 forum, I decided to hardreset again.
Still doing it - I give up.

As a last resort try using the Cingular carrier settings at www.htcclub.net
I know it doesn't set my data or medianet connections but anytime I have gotten the wrong signal icons it has worked. Which btw is pretty random for me depending on what rom I'm using.

Well if I just hard reset and let the extrom reload, wouldn't this be the same?

The cingular settings cab didn't fix it. This is really annoying as there seems to be zero explanation on this.

Top Paid Section missing in Android Market for Nexus One?

My top paid section is missing in the Android Market for the Nexus One. Anyone else see this? is there a reason why??

No its there. Are you in a not-yet-supported country? Maybe your provider hasn't done the necessary paperwork. Post some info!

that's odd. I am with tmobile. I did sign onto the market initially with WIFI and then with 3G. Anyone know how to correct this? I have to totally reformat? or can I just clear my market cache or something?

Might wanna try a hard reset this time using 3G first to see what happens.

sorry to be a mega noob but i don't know how to hard reset it, i tried holding the ball and the power button and i get this fast boot screen thing.

Is there a solution that does not involve the wipe?

I had this problem until I finally put my sim in. The market appearently uses the sim to validate your location. Could be you need a new sim from T-Mobile and there is some issue with yours.
I spent about three days setting up mine before moving the sim over and used wifi for everything. Once I put in the sim everything worked fine and it showed all the paid apps.

I have never had that Paid apps in my Market section.. I ordered my Nexus One and had my brother ship it over to me in Kuwait. It never saw my ATT sim card, only a local Wataniya SIM card.. Guess it will have to wait till I get home to be able to use that feature!

htc legend wifi problems

htc legend connects to particular kind of hotspot type in my university. The thing about this is tha , we have to enter login id and password given to us before we can actually start accessing the net.
So , my legend connects but it does not load anything not even the log in page, here are the screen shots

What ROM are you using and what WiFi is it? Look in your wireless settings. By the sound of it, it is 802.1X which I have trouble with on blay0's ROM.

i've noticed a week wifi signal after installing cyanogenmod 6.1 dunno why is like that..
before when i had stocked rom wifi was running better thougt

I dont think its with the signal range. Because ive stood under the router and the signal shows full. Its something else. Please help me out.

Try in settings / wireless / wi-fi parameters
select your hotspot and in the window select forget
select a new time your hotspot and it should open the log in page.
I had similar problem with my box: connected but no internet access and this trick solve it.

^ Tried that. It doesnt work. Erm, tell me how can i help you to get more details about the network ? Basically its a 802.11 g network.
Its not the problem with ONLY my legend. Its with all Legends. The BB Torch , for instance works with the wifi.
Its not the problem with the ROM coz another friend of mine faces the sane problem though he is on original 2.2

I'm BUMPING this thread , as I returned to my uni and the my hostel is changed , the laptop still connects but not my Legend. FYI , original ROM also does not connect.

I' ve exactly your problem. I can't connect to the my town wifi hotspots. Opened a thread here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/27909-problem-with-open-wifi-connections/ but still no reply.
Did you installed an app for wifi thether?

S4 I9505 problem with 3G data network

Good afternoon, I havea problem with my mobile, S4 I9505, about three weeks ago began to turn off the network data (3G) ones or twice a day, with wifi works perfectly .. I realize that I spend some time without receive mails, or whatsapp, then turn off and back to activate the network data and there I get all messages .. when I see on the screen is going from 3G to H + besides that'll about device status and the Figure mobile network type umts or hspa+ good signal strength and status of mobile network shown in attached but nothing works using internet, even entering a page or update the weather widget ..
i Change rom, now put the free German but nothing .. be hardware problem? software?
I live in Argentina and my company is Claro, went perfect until three weeks ago, I put a chip from another company and just had the same problems as they do
if I can help I would greatly appreciate !!!

This leaves one more update (it launched with June 2018 patch iirc)?

I got scared when I installed the update and calls had no audio (earpiece nor speaker). A reboot fixed that issue.

Yeah, same old story from them

I don't even have anymore expectations about the updates. The phone is already dead and Android One was basically a scam with no benefits over customized Android distributions.
Fortunatelly next month I will be getting a new phone.

There are network related issues with this update.
As soon as my phone switch to 4G+ (automatically) from 4G then Wi-Fi gets disconnected!! And phone won't try to connect with Wi-Fi. Then if i try to connect with saved Wi-Fi network manually, it won't connect!! If phone switch to 4G (automatically) from 4G+ then phone will connect with WiFi and internet data works as normal. I think 4G+ and WiFi dont work same time. Only one thing can work at a time. Still I'm not able to figure out this issue.
Another issue is, getting no call notification on screen. So one friend told me that he has tried to call me but I wasn't answering, and I was like I haven't received any calls as nothing in call logs too!! Upon this information, I've tried to call my number from another phone and he was right. No call notification appears on the screen, not even missed call log in Phone app. I've figured out solution to this problem tho. Disable WiFi Calling is the current solution. In Google's Phone app go into settings > calling account > select your network name and disable WiFi Calling for that network.
Before installing this update 4G+, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Calling everything was working smoothly. I'm afraid if they won't fix these issues then it will be a parmanent problem as not sure how many security updates left as part of Android One.
